Too Brief Encounter

Terry Bowman I knew I was going to like her when she said my friend had an Austin Powers look going on. She sipped her Molson Golden with a look of amusement and wondered aloud why a smile had crossed my face. We talked for a moment my tongue disfunctional as it usually is in these situations. I couldn't begin to confess that her simple presense had warmed my heart and eased my soul. Then I let her ease down the bar and out of my life regretting words unspoken and chances untaken. Opportunity knocks for the bold of spirit but I'd left my courage at home in the closet.
