The Alley-Cats Scramble

(Rider on the track)

The Alley-Cats Scramble is a twice yearly race held in Toronto and Vancouver on a figure 8 wooden velodrome. The track, which is called the Human Powered Rollercoaster, has its own web page here. My plastic camera jammed after I took these, so there are no pictures of my own astounding last place finish.
It's also a rock concert. This year, music was provided by (among others) FISHBONE. (Logo of the band Fishbone)

Waiting for someone to crash on turn 2 (you can see the flying bike museum, courtesy of Bicycle Specialties, above the track: if I remember correctly, from left to right that's a CCM and 3 Mariposas).
