My experience in the production of Chimeras was a very rich one. I had never participated in a drama class before, much less an actual performance, so I had many fears and expectations going into it. I was unsure of my place in this haunting play/dance piece, but all of my initial worries were washed away at the first rehearsal. Ginger immediately set everyone at ease by explaining that she was only a part of the whole, and that we, too, were a part of that whole. It was as much our creation as hers. At the same time, there was a definite infusion of Ginger's own creativity, insights and personality into the script and choreography, which let the audience know that this was her baby. She had conceived, birthed, nourished and raised it until the play was a fully living, breathing being.
