A little theory...

In the community of today people have come to realise the importancy of taking care of the world we live in. Recycling is a word that has gotten a great meaning. To save the world’s resources we have to stop being so wasteful, and instead make use of as much as possible of what we consume.

One thing that is said to break into the environment is the meat production. Many people of today have completely stopped consuming everything coming from animals for just that reason, but let me instead convey another aspect: Introduce cannibalism.

The thought may sound shocking, not to say repulsive. Perhaps one may be of the opinion that it is disgraceing and/or desecrateing the dead, but if one will just look upon the way human bodies are treated today one will realise that there is really not much of a difference.

Through organdonations many people consume bodyparts which are not their own. The difference between this and cannibalism is merely the location of the bodyparts; inside or outside the stomach.

It would create new jobs. Not because cutting up dead people is a new thing - it is done on hospitals all over the world, but then it’s called autopsy - but it would be done in a new way for a new reason. A new market would arise for the distribution of human flesh.

We shall all die one day. Somewhere you’ll have to put the body. If you dig it down it will eventually end up as food for worms and insects. Would it then not be better to be eaten by some more higher standing being?

Beside that it would save space. Instead of taking up land with graveyards for the ones already dead one could use it for parks, or to build houses for the living.

Meat is meat. If you can eat a dead cow or a dead pig without believing it to be any bigger difference, then why would it be different to eat the meat of a human?

It would be good for the environment. On sight the needs of today’s meat production would decrease, and by that it’s threat to the environment. It would only be one step further in the development of the recycling theory.

Finally I only want to request not to immediatly reject this idea. With all the prejudices we have that would be a far too easy sollution. Instead be broad-minded and open to new theories. And ponder over the fact that it was once believed that the world was flat....
