So many people don't take the time to see further into this character and regard her as an annoyance due to her 'he resembles my old sempai' lines. As it is I have seen this character and feel for her more than some of the other characters. She is my favorite of the Sailor Senshi.A girl who longs for her old love, a sempai who broke her heart and caused her to leave her old school. The pain of a breakup is not an easy subject and Makoto knows this full well. She sees him in other men and seems to space out. Memories flash through her mind of the man she loved, who did not love her. She was awkward, being such a tall ans strong girl and other guys always tell her 'she's not my type'. At that age, rejection is not an easy thing to deal with. Not many take notice to her simple beauty and gentle spirit.
Many people become afraid of the strong Makoto but there was one who offered her friendship even when others wouldn't. An innocent girl named Usagi who couldn't understand the concept of not making friends with her. Makoto's heart must have lifted after that, someone who wants to be friends with such a girl. A friend she would forever protect. Makoto is that way... her friends are very important to her and she will always look after them because they are very dear to her.
