I Am Me

I
Am
Me

I believe that you never know
The worth of water until the well is dry
But some water is too precious and great
For its worth to be overlooked.

I know that happiness is only hidden
To those who search too much
And those who search too little.
I find it everywhere.

I think of life as a long journey
That must someday end (hopefully not soon)
With surprises, joys, wonders,
And a bit of sadness in it.

I see through the eyes of my close friend, Optimism
And I speak with her words.
She and Kindness have helped me
Through so much.

When I write, I let out my heart and soul
And cast my mind aside.
I give my poems small, simple names
For I don't want them to have big egos.

This
Is who
I am
And

I
Am
Me 1
