A Day With My Angel

An angel came to me, and said,

I've kept a lap, just for your head.

So rest it there, and read me rhyme,

It's here I want to spend my time.

And so, I sat and laid my head,

Upon the soft of her lap's bed.

And words I wrote within my mind,

And spoke aloud, for her to find.

We watched the summer sun go down,

We watched the stars, above the town.

The air grew chill, but never cold.

One lovely child, and one...quite old. 1
