-=* Darkness With A Friend *=-
I never planned for this, you see,
I only wanted love for me.
I cried for help a thousand hours,
And no one cared to come.
But now I have a friend to share,
A bottle full of endless care.
I'd take them all, and shut the door,
But who would come to look?
So here I sit, my door ajar.
Today he took away the car.
And soon he'll enter, locked or not,
And hurt me yet again.
Hear me, you who tell me no,
A friend would come, and help me go,
My pain is mine, you never hurt,
He never comes to you.
And when I'm hurt enough to die,
I'll take the pills, and say goodbye.
And you will mourn me for a while,
And then you'll soon forget.
So if you really care at all,
Please take my chain down from the wall,
And hold me as we walk away,
And I'll be safe at last.
A story written for a book,
A woman dead from pills she took.
And in her hand a poem was left,
They hated her, for that.
