-=* Rights, and Wrong *=-
I never liked her, you know.
She was too brassy, too determined.
Too...driven, driven to be better
than...anyone.
She was YOUR wife, so I dutifully
replaced annoyance with toleration
and ignored the screech of her voice,
and the insult of her presence.
You, my friend, I pity...for while I
can shut her out, and be rid of her,
you must listen to this, every day.
It must be an awful life.
I decided tonight, when she called me
yet another ugly name, and covered it
in malicious laughter to disguise the
deliberate intent, that I must change.
So...I say to you, though I love you as
I would a brother, or more, perhaps...
that she is no longer welcome in my home.
Please do not bring her here, or ask.
I understand the consequences, and I do
this sadly, but though it is something
wrong, it is what I must do. I only
hope you understand why.
Another in the foibles of what God has
created, that in being right, one could
be so damnably wrong, and pay such a price.
I will miss you.
