---===* Walrus *===---
A walrus came, though none would see.
And spoke of thoughts so deep.
But he was wrong, in what he said.
For tigers never weep.
For clouds aren't red, nor seas alive,
And flowers never rain.
And kings are made of sterner stuff,
Than vegetables and grain.
But children listened to his tales,
Believing every chord.
And raised, amidst their innocence,
A cabbage, to be lord.
But come the fall, in cold and wind,
'Neath skies of hooded grey.
The cabbage turned a lifeless brown,
And the walrus went away.
