ANIM_BULLET_WHITE-BLUE.gif (275 bytes)The first time I heard Dafna Armoni, I did not like her because I thought that she was too much rock for my taste. This was in 1986, when her first album was released. Then, I listened to her over and over and came to appreciate it. I won't lie: I don't think that Dafna Armoni is an exceptional singer, but her voice (deep and yet clear) is interesting and some of her songs are quite good. This first album was written by her ex-partner (in real life), Shalom Hanoch, an extremely famous Israeli singer. This album was supposedly his present to Dafna as a farewell. I don't like Shalom Hanoch at all (he sounds like Joe Cocker), but I have to admit that he can write  amazing songs. Dafna Armoni is a very good ambassador for his material. Her second album was more groovy, a little less rock, but not as nearly good as this first disc. In any case, I suggest that you judge by yourself!

DAFNA_ARMONI

DAFNA ARMONI. NMC. A good pop-rock first album. A few beautiful songs written by Shalom Chanoch.

DAFNA_ARMONI

LESS THAN A WOMAN. NMC. Groovy tunes, but not unforgettable album though!
