Noar Shulayim does not exist anymore! They seperated after their third album. The lead singer, Miki Agi, tried to have a career on his own and released a children CD (which was not the best of the best, if you see what I mean). Miki Agi has a very particular voice: very high pitched. You like it or you hate it. Anyway, Noar Shulayim started in the late 80's and the members were very young. Their style evolved from rock to pop to dance. The second album yields many hits in Israel (1990), but their last album did not do very well, and then they split up. The funny thing is that they were one of the first "boys bands" in Israel and they paved the way for other groups such as Hi Five (which is extremely successful right now). Let's notice that another member of Noar Shulayim, Dudu Levi, released a solo album this year (don't run to the store to buy it though because it is not the album of the century...). Maybe Noar Shulayim's style came too early for the public's tastes, yet they did have a few great songs that will make you move on the dance floor! |
