ANIM_BULLET_WHITE-BLUE.gif (275 bytes)Ronit Ofir's voice is pure, clear and rich. She sings ballads and standards most of the time and her singing is great. Her best album, without any hesitation is "Pitom Gaaguah" (Suddenly Nostalgic), written by the wonderful Sacha Argov (one of the most famous and gifted Israeli composers). This album brings out the best of Ronit Ofir. The others are not bad, but I am not too keen on the heavy arrangements that sound cheap and don't do anything for me (nor for her voice). Still, if you want beautiful voice and beautiful melodies, try Ronit Ofir. You should not be disappointed!

RONIT OFIR

SUDDENLY NOSTALGIC. Hed Artzi. Once more, Sacha Argov's songs are fantastic, just like the voice which sings them. It is a truly remarkable album! Highly recommended!

RONIT OFIR

AL YOFI NAARIM. Phonokol. A collection of Israeli favorites. Not the best arrangements...You can live without!

RONIT OFIR

JERUSALEM. Hed Artzi. Good collection of songs about Jerusalem. Ronit Ofir's voice is still very nice.

RONIT OFIR

SONGS TO NOGA. Hed Artzi. A double CD of very popular Israeli songs (pop and standards) sung almost entirely with a minimalist acoustic guitar. Nice arrangements and good voice. So, why don't I like it that much?
