Hi JJ, Sorry I haven't written back sooner. Just been busy. That my
group may
have been through David could be true but I don't see a James that would
be James B. father. Steven forwarded one of your notes, Davis-Mason, and
that group from John Davis seems to match better. There is a James b.
1748 that could well be the father of James B.. James and his family
were in Prince William Co. Va. and I think James B. was born in Prence
William Co. Too. James moved his family to Jessamine Co. Ky. about 1797,
some of them relocated in Nelson Co. James B. was in Jessamine Co. too.
That is where James B. children were born. They are sopposedly in 1820
census in Ky. 1830 census show James B. in Cass Co. Ill.

Tom Smith site is http://geocities.datacellar.net/~tssmith if that dosen't work
try http://geocities.datacellar.net/Heartland/Acres/1489/
A MichaelAnn LEARGUI@aol.com has sent Tom information on Thomas Davis,
son of ohn and Susannah Wyatt Davis born Aug. 8, 1693, married Sarah
Fielding born May 12, 1695. Children are Edward Fielding b. May 6, 1718,
James Conway b.Nov. 3, 1719, John b. Jul. 3, 1723, Richard b. Jun. 6,
1725, and William b. Sept. 9, 1729. However the counties don't
necessarily match. I don't know how Prince William Co., Northumberland
Co.,Woodford Co., and Spottsylvania Co. fit together. William died in
P.W. Co. in 1798. James Conway married Mary Elizabeth Carter and their
Children are John Fielding b. 1740 d. 1782, James Carter b. 1741. james
Carter married Sarah and had Fielding, John, William, James, Thomas, and
Joseph supposedly in Spottsylvania Co. Is Spottsylvania the same as
Prince William?? Just adding to the confusion, huh.
Let me hear.

PS Steven, I went to your web site last friday and read someone was
wanting the birthdates of James B., Elizabeth Hawkins, and children. I
took it as the address was snicks@inx.net. Is this correct or can you
send the correct address?? My e-mail to snicks@inx.net was returned. I
would be happy to supply that information to anyone who wants it.

In a message dated 99-03-28 02:25:27 EST, you write:

<< I have
 >> Isaac Davis Jr. is son of Isaac b. 1723 m. Eliz. Kincheloe >>

I checked your web page, and besides Elizabeth and Mollie there
are other Davis/Kincheloe connections.

Elizabeth bn. 1726 in Prince William Co. VA md. Isaac Davis abt 1747.
She is the dau. of John Kincheloe, bn. abt 1691-94 in Richmond Co. VA,
md. abt 1718 Elizabeth Canterbury, d. bef 24 Mar 1746 Pr. William Co.
Elizabeth Canterbury bn. abt 1695 Richmond Co., dau. of John Canterbury
and Ruth Williams (dau. of Roger Williams & Joane). Elizabeth's brother
William Kincheloe, bn. 26 May 1736 Pr. William Co., d. 10 Oct 1788 Nelson
Co. KY, md. Mollie White. In his will (Nelson Co. KY Wills 1785-1820,
Will Book A, p. 321) he mentions his wife Mollie, sons Thomas, Stephen,
Lewis, Elias, Jesse & William, and daus. Peggy Davis, Mollie Davis,
Clary & Sally. 2 of the witnesses are Jesse Davis and Travis Davis.
Peggy md. Travis Davis, Mollie(Mary) md. Warren Davis, and Clarissa
(Clary) md. Isaac Davis. William's oldest son Thomas Ludwell Kincheloe
md. Nancy Edwards, his son Phillip K. of Wright Co. MO md. Caroline
Stith, and their son George Stith Kincheloe md. as his 2nd wife a
Rachel Davis. Is the Isaac who md. Clarissa K. also a son of Isaac, Jr.?

Most of this info was sent to me by Helen Payton of Charleston, SC and I
haven't had time to run it all down, so I can't vouch for all of it. The will
is
for real and the info on Phillip K. of Wright Co. is from the Wright Co.
Heritage Book which are not always dependable. Also where does
Travis Davis fit in ? I assume that Elizabeth Canterbury's mother is
supposedly a dau. of the Roger Williams. I've been meaning to check
that out.
