Method
- Simmer fruit, sugar, butter/margarine and water in pan for 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool and stir in beaten egg and flour.
- Turn into greased cake tin
- Bake for 1½ to 1¾ hours at Gas Mark 1 (275°F or 140°C).
