London: The interior of the British Museum.
London: See, BRITISH students go to the museum. What's up with the US?
London: Tales from the crypt. A massive Eqyptian sarcophagus.
London: Detail of sarcophagus.
London: Bust | ||
London: A detail of an Egyptian false door. According to the little sign next to the artifact and a book I read once they put these in the toombs so the Ka (sprit) could travel back and forth from the afterlife.
London: Close up of above detail. Sure a "detail" is a close up, I know that... details, details.
London: Scarry, squirl route. Where in the world are you taking us Aims?
London: Mesopotamian lion
London: The hay fields outside the West Kennet Long Barrow. One of our American tourmates insisted it looks just like South Dakota. I can neither confirm nor deny this as I have never been to the fine state.
London: Just under the top soil lays layers of chalk. This is the Napolian Horse first carved out of the hillside in 1812. Nearby is the Milenum horse. These figures need to be cleared of weeds and debris every seven years. I took this photo from the tour bus because I was too tired after Aims kept me up drinking the night before!
London: Cute, huh? Just behind that little house is one half of a pair of stone circles, one male one female.
Spain: Up 72 near verticle steps was our flat. Located above a gelato/waffle shoppe the rooms smelled of vanilla and I gained two pounds in one week!
Spain: And this was the view outside the window. Our first two nights in town there were thunder storms and down pours in the middle of the night. This photo was taken about 2am.
Take me HOME Daddy! | ||
