As if you knew a moment's thought that escaped me
Only to have been captured and strewn so subtly by the wind
Then the last rays of sunset sought and envisioned you
A mirage of mythical proportion,
Though I suspect somewhat real to my imagination
Or so one would think.
When a deep melodious voice escaped that heavenly smile
I feared not the uncertain consequence
And gladly relinquished all caution to the wind,
Then I casually stole a glimpse at the subtle softness of your lips
While slowly glancing upwards, into that onyx-gaze
Shrouded by a raven wind-tousled mane
What earthy sun-bronzed statue?
Perfection should only be allowed to go so far....
How I've yearned for a warm and sensual compassion of this magnitude
When I knew only the great spirit on high could create someone so genteel
My mysterious familiar.
As I lie here watching the distance between us grow near
With each anticipated moment and step
I slowly close my eyes and silently think to myself
How my heart has deemed you - Unforgettable.
