What words must I speak for a memory
Of which a sad heart you will find
Adored the world over by many
From birth till your last span in time.
A prince with a jester's compassion
Would smile and extend a hello
As family and friends did take notice
What promising future you'd hold.
One November day, as they gathered
To bid grief farewell for your Dad
With a hero's salute you did capture my heart
What a timeless moment, from a lad.
Through the years I have watched, from a distance
As the boy quickly grew to a man
With a legacy and future to shoulder
And a voice to deliver and stand.
You're a beacon of hope for those less fortunate
With admired inspiration and pride
Who shared his kindness and eternal love
With the world, his family and bride
These lasting memories, I will cherish
For God's intent isn't man's to plot
As a teary farewell I must bid you
Rest well my sweet "Prince of Camelot."
