sconti's home!

peter made this- I have no idea....

On this page, you will find links to my favorite places and pictures of my favorite people. I hope you enjoy this not quite so in-depth look at me... bear with me, I'm new to this!

I went to Skidmore College and just graduated in '00. I had a great time there. I was in an a cappella group, the Accents. They have just released a new CD called Freestyle Down.

Stop by the web page, if you please. I don't know, I like it. Biased?
Now I am working at Yale University. I work in the Child Study Center. They have a long-term project on the developmental effects in infants and children whose mothers abused cocaine during pregnancy. It is facsinating work. My job includes data entry, media technology work and infant monitoring and assesment.

During my time at Skidmore I also had the opportunity to travel abroad to Paris, France. (obviously) The city of Paris and the family who I had the good fortune to live with will always hold a special place with me- I just wish the language was still with me, too.

Some Favorite Links

My friend Joachim and his brother are in a band called LittleHorse . This is their new (and first) album, entitled Perils and Thrills, featuring the Tower of Power horn section.

They rock- please check them out. They're great in concert, too.

Some other buds (and the beau) can be found singing during the summers on Martha's Vineyard in the Vineyard Sound - you can see what they're all about...

And while we're being dorky and checking out a cappella sites, I have some other close friends (some faces that you will recognize from the Vineyard) who sing in a men's group at Skidmore-

They have a new cd out and perform quite a bit, so check them out to hear their album or see them live!

So speaking of the beau (that was back a bit, I know)... he's great,(Peter, that is), and his web page is much more intense than this one. Go on, check out what a hottie he is (biased again). Read his words about me and I second that. I love him BIG!

Those of you who know me know that I love kids, so naturally, I have some favorite childhood favs to share with you- favorite books, music, games, etc. Favorite books include all Eric Carle books (The Very Hungry Catapillar especially),
I love anything illustrated by David Weisner- he's an amazing artist, Ramona Quinby books, Winnie the Pooh, and The Orphan Trian Quartets and the Harry Potter collection (of course). Get them all! I have lots of favorite children's books- here's my list. And someday, I hope to write and illustrate my own. See some of my favorite illustrators who are great inspirations! If you have any other recommendations, email me. I am always looking to add to my collection!

I have to do another plug for a friend who writes children's music, and has won two Parent's Choice Awards for his albums. Steve's Songs will make everyone smile- young and old. And be prepared to have his lyrics stuck in your head for days! Check out Joey the Frog- he's my favorite! Click on him and get a surprise!

I love being a kid!

I can't help but mention right now that I am a closet unicyclist...

If you've never tried this sport before you've got a lot of livin' to do. So if you have any interest in finding out more about this extra fun activity, please type "Unicycle" into any search engine and you've taken the next step into this world of the one-wheeled wonder" of the unicycle.
