Last Updated: 12-02-03 MissyThis is the sneak preview only and has been cut. Missy is, of course, a "truly special" girl who comes from the planet POTIF. I started to write a few more stories about her, this time having the stories be more serial in nature, but only finished one part. So here it is.
Missy at the Movies Date and Observer: *not released. The arts program began at Missy's school today. The art teacher, Mrs. Loud, has decided to work in sync with the music teacher, Mr. Streak, and produce a movie. Thus decided, the two teachers scheduled a field trip to watch the recently released drama movie The Man in the Steel Face Covering. The hope that Missy would lose her permission slip was in vain, and Liliputa was selected to be on "Missy Duty" that day. As the class prepared to leave, Missy began her usual ramblings over how she did not appreciate being kidnapped from school. All went well on the bus ride, considering the only property damage was to the back window. Missy was even quiet as she walked into the theatre. Until she saw the candy display. "Oh!" she cried. "I want a funny hat like that person has!" The poor clerk behind the counter was scared out of his wits when Missy attacked him, trying to take his shoes. But Liliputa quickly raced and pulled Missy away, profusely apologizing for the damage to his shoes. The clerk looked dazed, and backed away. The next hazard was seating Missy in the dark theatre. She refused to enter, claiming that the darkness would give her sunburn. Liliputa calmly told her that the darkness would only give her chickenpox, and Missy demanded that she be allowed in. "I like chicken. It's so furry!" But her elation over chicken wore off when she saw the chairs. "Missy," Liliputa told her, "it's just like a normal chair, only it folds upward." "Oooh, a chair," Missy replied, awed. "I've never heard of a chair before." Fifteen minutes later, the previews began. Missy stared at the screen, demanding to know how giant people were trapped back there and what is this chair thing you keep talking about? And what is that big, moving picture thingy? "I'm going to free them!" Missy declared at ran toward the screen. "FREEDOLY!" It's sufficient to say that the class was able to stop the fire before the movie began. They tied Missy to her chair and had her chew on rubber to keep her quiet. Unfortunately, she liked the rubber and ate it quickly. "Where'd those giants come from?" Missy asked. "And why are parts of their body CUT OFF!" She pestered Liliputa the entire two hours, asking why they were in a dark room where'd she get sunburned, who were these other people, and if she could please be tied tighter; she was beginning to free herself. The movie was finally over, and Liliputa gratefully lead Missy out of the theatre with the rest of the class. Missy skipped and sang all the way to the bus, then promptly asked when the field trip would begin.
