God must have know there would be times

I think He knew our troubled hearts

At trials and misfortunes
Or some goals we can't attain
He knew we'd need companionship
Unselfish, lasting and true
So God's answered the heart's greatest need
With a friend like you.

To give us strength and courage

As friends we share so much more
than other people may ever realize
We share a closeness that is very precious
and a friendship that is very lasting.
We know we don't have to be afraid
of opening up to one another
of trusting each other completely
of appreciating every moment of time
we spent in one another's company.
