THOUGHTS ABOUT AN EARTH ANGEL
by
Tommy Lovingfox
She defies description and human words.
When you think you know her she is always more.
Coming from a clan of love and grace,
My first impression is one of overpowering beauty.
And, yet, that beauty is both outside and inside.
It radiates through her deep blue eyes and sweet actions.
She delights and melts the hearts of all those around her.
Like a little pixie she flutters around with love dust,
Spreading joy and happiness, always blessing others.
She knows through her hugs and kisses and soft touch,
She can delight and enchant and sweeten the lives of others.
She is terribly sensual and excites every desire in men.
But, isn't that the way of angels?
She has an inscrutable depth to her,
And, yet, she bashfully takes no credit for it.
She is intelligent far beyond the average person's perception.
But she chooses to downplay that too ... merely extending her love.
However, for those who know, intelligence is merely a subset of love.
She is attached to all that is beautiful,
Pure sparkling water, pristine mountains, vary-colored
Forests ... all that is tranquil and majestic.
She came from a place of indescribable beauty before the dawn of time.
This one thing that feeds her pure and sweet soul.
She is adventurous and playful in ways that are beautifully childlike.
Yet she can set your heart pounding with her kiss and sensuous touch. What is amazing ... she allows herself to be trapped
And earthbound ... perhaps like the rest of us.
For she is an eagle and needs to soar high in pure air,
And not wallow with disheartening mud hens.
That is why her little soul is sometimes lonely and morose,
Because, you see, even angels need to be loved and free.
Let us not kid ourselves, she has a beautifully fiery temper ...
One born of defending what is truth and right.
So look out for her wrath ... should it be reflected upon you even momentarily.
But merely admit your wrong doing and love her,
And all is well ... she will bless you with womanly love,
So sweet and so fresh ... it will subtract your very breath.
There could never be such happiness then with a woman like this ...
If there even is another ... which somehow I doubt. When I first met her, my heart changed rhythm,
And immediately beat in time to her heart.
We touched spiritually across time and space, and fed off
Each other in ways that cannot be described.
It was as if our souls were stoked from a lovely, heavenly
Fire at the same place and time in eternities of long ago.
We danced together and played like little foxes ... getting
Reacquainted in mortality as we were in immortality.
My spirit cried for her for it was lonely without her,
And she awakened the happiness that once was.
For God must have foreseen we would meet again,
And fall in a deep and abiding love.
And I thank God for allowing me to find her again.
That despite earthly morays and predicaments that
We once again share our lives.
For I am fulfilled, and I now live for her happiness ...
That I am the only one who truly understands her ...
And that I can replenish her marvelous spirit.
Thank you, God, for my Jean.
