LOVE AFTER

If I speak about love
It's to try to give joy
For all the things I had
Owned and learned as a boy;
The wisdom of old age
I've shared not secretly,
And the lives we engage
Through infelicity
And higher emotions,
In a moment's pastel,
I bring the potions
And music of a minstrel.
I write that one may know
What love is, and after,
That man and woman so
Live, may love thereafter.
