Nathan Curry plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin and the cittern. He is well known around the Ottawa area as a devoted exponent of the folk tradition of his Celtic predecessors. His music has roots in a blending of Celtic and a rich variety of other immigrant experiences. Nathan is not only a performer but a teacher and instrument maker as well. He performs frequently with Pierre Schryer, Pass it On and provides music for contra and Irish dances. His work is featured on a record released by Snowy River Records entitled
The Great Wave, Six Mile Bridge, Dog's Breakfast and The Great Canadian Waltz. He also provided the music for Rag and Bone Puppet Theatre.
Linda Miller plays bodhran (Irish drum) and contributes the main vocals. Schooled in choirs from an early age, she went on to explore almost every musical style, from madrigals to r&b, jazz to country. Now concentrating on Celtic music, she brings these various influences to her singing of traditional songs as a way of bringing them into the present. Her work can be heard on

James Stephens plays fiddle, mandolin, cittern and bass. Trained as a classical violinist he has played in country and rock bands but is now immersing himself in traditional fiddle styles from the British Isles to their permutations in Cape Breton, Québecois, Ottawa Valley and American bluegrass music, which he teaches at the Ottawa Folklore Centre. His work is featured with Nathan Curry on The Great Wave, Six Mile Bridge and Dog's Breakfast as well as with his own band Fat Man Waving which showcased his fine songwriting skills. He is also a sought-after back-up musician and recording engineer/producer.
Pass it On combines strong musicality with an extensive knowledge of Celtic music's history, style and influences. Their main focus is showing how the music of our ancestors also became our music and highlighting the living (continuing) tradition of music that is meant to be shared and passed on...
