Ruth's Poetry

A Dream of Reality

Dreams

transportation

to the world of wishes

Wishes

desires captured in hopes

visited in dreams

Which is more real --

what I dream

or what my eyes see?

What I dream I see

with my heart

feel

deep in my soul

What my eyes see

appears solid

but really

the eyes see only reflections --

light not absorbed by color --

eyes see rejections

Reality

is the illusion of substance

It lives

and dies

by being seen

touched

observed

Dreams live inside

hidden from observation

beyond reach of touch

In dreams we see all the colors

the eyes cannot perceive

The artist paints wishes

on a canvas of dreams

with a brush full of hope

What is more real --

the me I see

or your vision of me?

Life is but a dream . . .
