Chapter 1

**************

"Umma!"

A tiny, fragile, little girl was screaming for her life as her so-called mother was about to beat her once more for reasons that the child couldn’t comprehend.

"You stupid little mongrel! Why’d you have to come into this family!" the cruel mother yelled, while hitting the poor kid as more screams of agony could be heard.

"Umma! Stop! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! Please! Just Stop!" the little girl wailed as she frantically tried to get away from the deadly grasps of her mother.

"Mommy doesn’t love you Eun Hae! Get that into your imbecile head!"

WHACK!

More terrifying screeches were heard throughout the shabby little house that was barely standing up. Eun Hae could do nothing about the abuse she was getting every single day ever since she could remember. She was only 5 yet she had been through more than any other child her age should be going through.

The woman hurled her only child into a cellar and locked her up there. She ignored the pitiful cries of the hurt child and went to the bathroom, locking the door behind her.

*~ one week later ~*

The sirens of the police cars could be heard from all over as red and blue lights flashed all over the rickety house.

"Hey! Over here! I think there’s something behind here!" a policeman yelled to the other officers.

Four men pried the cellar door open and they found a little girl that was barely able to be recognized for her tender face was swarming with bruises and immense scabs.

"Hurry! Get the kid to a hospital!" a police officer ordered.

As Eun Hae was rushed to the hospital, another group of police officers were trying to open the locked bathroom door. One policewoman kicked the door open when their eyes met with a dead body lying on the tiled floor of the bathroom in a pool of dried blood.

"Looks like suicide. Poor kid, she’s lost her mother," a man said, shaking his head.

A group of neighbors were huddling around the house. A scrawny little boy made his way through the crowd just in time to see Eun Hae being hauled into the ambulance.

Eun Hae’s blue-black eyes fluttered open as they focused on her new surroundings. Everything was in complete whiteness. ‘Am I in heaven?’ young Eun Hae wondered. That’s when she saw the strange tubes pertruding out of her tiny arms, dangling like a group of vines.

All of a sudden, a kind looking nurse opened the door.

"Hey there!" she said, in the sweetest voice that Eun Hae had ever heard. ‘I MUST be in heaven! An angel is talking to me!’ she thought.

Eun Hae tried to get up but then the surging pain held her back, so she could only mumble a slight ‘hi’.

The nurse looked at Eun Hae sadly. Her large, beautiful brown eyes really made this girl stand out, but the nurse couldn’t notice her face very well, for bruises were hiding it. The nurse shook her head sideways. ‘Everything was thrown away in her life. At such a young age, too.’

For the next few weeks, Eun Hae seemed to recover quickly. Eun Hae had overheard the doctors and nurses talking about her mother’s death. Eun Hae swore to herself that from then on, she would never open up her heart to anyone ever again, for they would just hurt and disappear from her like her mother had.

Chapter 2

**************

*~12 years later ~*

Once again, Eun Hae was staring out the window. Instead of eating lunch outside with the other high schoolers, she would silently watch them from afar. From the time of her mother’s death, she has never spoken a single word to anyone. This made her an outcast everywhere she went. One side of her longed to have a friend, even just one friend would mean the world to her, but she learned never trust anyone all the 17 years of her life.

Eun Hae slowly let her deep forever-gazing eyes settle on every single student enjoying their life. ‘Heh.. what fools,’ Eun Hae thought, smirking.

*~ At the orphanage ~*

Eun Hae just sat at the edge of her bed. She didn’t feel like she belonged here, she was way too old to still be an orphan. Nobody had wanted her when she was little so she taught herself that no one would ever want such a disgraceful figure like her.

Knock Knock

Eun Hae turned around and saw the kind lady who looked after all the orphans.

"Eun Hae, could I talk to you?" Mrs. Yoon questioned.

Eun Hae took one glance at her, than quickly turned her head back to the window she was staring out at, a bunch of forget-me-nots in her hand.

Without her approval, Mrs. Yoon seated herself beside Eun Hae.

"Eun Hae! I have great news for you! You want to know what it is?" Mrs. Yoon joyfully asked.

Eun Hae kept ignoring Mrs. Yoon.

Mrs. Yoon decided to continue, "We’ve finally found a family for you! Isn’t that just wonderful? After all these years, finally someone has decided to adopt you! You’re going to have a new family now! They’re coming to pick you up today so you better hurry up and-"

Before Mrs. Yoon could finish, Eun Hae cupped her hand over her ears and stampeded out of the bare room.

‘When is that girl ever going to learn that she can’t keep on running away from her problems?’ Mrs. Yoon pondered.

"Yes, Mr. and Mrs. An! She’s right over here waiting! I’m sure she is absolutely thrilled to finally have a family!" Mrs. Yoon gleefully informed the two new parents.

Eun Hae reluctantly stood up as she saw the An’s approaching. ‘These people aren’t to be trusted, remember that,’ Eun Hae said over and over in her mind. She glanced around the orphanage, remembering all the pain it had brought her. Suddenly, her eyes met with a boy her age. ‘Oh no.. don’t tell me that’s my new brother..’ Eun Hae feared, for the stranger was glaring at her with an evil pair of eyes.

"Well Eun Hae! We’re very happy to bring you into our family! We hope that we all get along and that we’ll be as loving as any other family," Mr. An said to Eun Hae.

Eun Hae didn’t respond, instead just she just stared off into space, seeming to be in a world of her own.

"Uh.. Mrs. Yoon? Is this child deaf?" Mrs. An asked.

"No no! She just...well...she’s not a very sociable type of person. She hasn’t spoken a word ever since I saw her," Mrs. Yoon answered, doubtfully.

"Great! I have a mute for a sister. Gee, what fun.." the boy Eun Hae saw, Tony, said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Eun Hae regretted ever being born. ‘Out of all the people in this world, he is the one I have to live with..’

"Now Tony! Be nice to Eun Hae! She’s has feelings you know! Besides, she’s going to be your sister so you should be more respectful to her!" Mrs. An lectured, being very disappointed in Tony’s behavior.

"Grr..mmmm.hhh..mm" Tony mumbled under his breath.

"Young man! As soon as we go home, I’m going to have a word or two with you," Mr. An informed.

‘Great..’ Tony thought.

Eun Hae was silently witnessing all of this and no one noticed that she was already sulking. She was already beginning to hate everyone in that family, especially Tony.

"Now.. Eun Hae... please excuse Tony for his rude behavior," Mrs. An apologized while throwing an evil glance at Tony, "Let’s get going then shall we?"

Mrs. An linked arms with Eun Hae as she followed, not on her own will.

‘Great... just great..’ Tony and Eun Hae thought at the same time.

Chapter 3

**************

Mr. and Mrs. An, who were now Eun Hae’s parents, led her to a long, sleek, black car. Eun Hae had to sit by Tony, as the parents insisted, as the chauffeur drove them to their home. Little did Eun Hae know, the An’s were one of the richest people in all of Korea, for Mr. An’s company had thrived quite rambunctiously.

The chauffeur pulled up to the long driveway and as the luxurious estate was seen, Eun Hae’s mouth open wider than the ocean. Her eyes were quickly ate up the site lain before her. The house was more extravagant than she could ever imagine. After gawking for a while, Eun Hae regained her normal pose.

"Well Eun Hae, this is our home and your new home also," Mr. An introduced, as they all stepped into the grand foyer of the mansion, which was probably bigger than the whole orphanage.

"Your room is on the second floor okay? Tony, why don’t you go show your sister around the house, hmm?" Mr. An asked.

"But-" Tony began.

"No buts! Now go!" Mrs. An said, forcing Tony to show Eun Hae around.

As Tony boringly began leading Eun Hae down the long corridors and hallways, she thought that they could never get throughout the whole house in one day. Finally, they had reached a magnificent room that resembled a sort of jungle. There was a huge fountain in the middle of the room and water slowly trickled out from the top basins and into the lower ones, as baskets of vines and other greens hung high over Eun Hae and Tony’s heads. Eun Hae noticed the white and orange goldfish swimming in the bottom of a little pond near the fountain and splendid roses were floating on top of the water. Eun Hae wanted to stay in this enchanting room forever, but Tony moved on to the gardens outside.

Eun Hae thought the indoor jungle was fascinating, but the gardens were simply marvelous, she felt as if she was in a dream. Hundreds of yellows, purples, whites, and any other color you can imagine frequently dotted the pathways. Tony then led Eun Hae to one of the house’s most wondrous works of true art. There in front of the two teenagers stood a cleverly trimmed labyrinth of hedges. This maze reminded Eun Hae of the myth about the Minotaur in the Labyrinth and she imagined herself as being an innocent captive while Tony was the brutal Minotaur ready to lunge at her and rip her head off.

Once again, Eun Hae found herself back into the walls of the huge prison that was trapping her. Tony then led Eun Hae up to her pure white room and left her there.

Eun Hae caught herself gazing at the beautiful paintings of waterfalls and gardens hung on the bare, white walls. Her bed was the size of four of the beds at the orphanage put together. A canopy slowly trickled down her Queen Anne bedposts and parted enough for Eun Hae to peek inside the bed and see piles and piles of exquisitely looking pillows. ‘So this is how I’m going to live for the rest of my life,’ Eun Hae thought.

"Eun Hae."

Tony’s uncaring voice startled her and made her jump a bit.

"Just to let you know, we’re starting school tomorrow. If anyone finds out that you’re my sister, then I will have to hurt you with my bare hands," Tony threatened. He shut the door as he walked out.

‘Why do I have to live with such a monster like him?’ Eun Hae pleaded to particularly no one.

Chapter 4

**************

"God d*mmit! How long does it take you wake up! I don’t need another f*cking detention because I’m late! Get up!" Tony screamed at the top of his lungs, while pushing a still slumbering

Eun Hae off the huge bed and onto the floor.

"Hurry up! I have to take you to school and we’re going to be late!!! SH*T! It’s like past 7! D*mmit! This is all your fault!" Tony included as more and more of his insults were headed toward Eun Hae.

Tony stomped out of the room as soon as he saw Eun Hae get off the floor and head toward the bathroom with plenty of sleep still left in her.

As Eun Hae saw her pitiful reflection in the mirror, she kept thinking over and over that things will get better soon.

‘There are nicer ways for people to wake someone up,’ Eun Hae spat as she was about to get into the shower.

Eun Hae heard the door open behind her as a blond head with monkey ears poked out behind the door. "There’s no time to take a show- GOD! Don’t you even lock the door?!" Tony shrieked as he slapped his hand over his eyes, for Eun Hae was almost completely undressed.

‘AAHH!!’ Eun Hae was screaming from shock in her mind. Her hand felt around for some defense mechanism and all she found was a tube of toothpaste. As soon as she grabbed it, she began smacking Tony on his head over and over.

"I YAH!!! B*TCH! What do you think you’re doing!" Tony yelled, trying to run away from the killer toothpaste and an angry Eun Hae. "Get away from me!!! AAHH!"

Eun Hae quickly had chased Tony out of the room and locked the door as soon as she kicked him out. ‘Serves him right. Trying to invade my privacy,’ Eun Hae thought.

Eun Hae hurried and grabbed something out of the walk-in closet, slid down the winding staircase, lunged for the lunchbag out of Mrs. An’s hand, and was about to walk out of the door, when she heard Mrs. An in the background telling her to give Tony his lunch too.

‘Kekekeke.. time to get back at him for what he did earlier,’ Eun Hae thought as she began planning Tony’s demise.

Tony was waiting outside in his very expensive Porsche (that how you spell it?), tapping his fingers along the steering wheel impatiently. Finally, Eun Hae showed up by the car and helped herself in.

"You know, if my parents, and let me say that again, MY parents, weren’t here, you’d be walking to school you know," Tony said with a smirk.

‘Just shut up and take me to school,’ Eun Hae kept pleading in her head.

As the new school Tony attended slowly came into view, Eun Hae took Tony’s lunch, opened all the contents and smashed it down on his head. Before he could even open his mouth, Eun Hae leaped out of the car and escaped from Tony’s sight.

"GOD D*MMIT! F*CK THAT WHORE! How the f*ck am I supposed to get all this sh*t off of me!!! I swear! As soon as I find that girl, she’s dead!" Tony hurled a few more curse words and ran towards the nearest bathroom, his hair was dripping with what seemed to be milk and bits and pieces of ham.

‘Ahaha! Poor Tony...’ Eun Hae laughed, walking away from her hiding place as she saw Tony dripping with disgusting objects all over his hair.

‘I guess this whole adopting thing isn’t so bad..’ Eun Hae smugly said.

Far away, a group of students were cheerfully talking about their day, when someone turned around slightly as Eun Hae passed the crowd. The stranger was staring straight at Eun Hae, his eyes having a shocked expression in them, but Eun Hae continued walking, not noticing anything that was going on around her, as she prepared to face the first day of her new school.

Chapter 5

***************

‘Don’t close the door! Please! Don’t close the door!’ Eun Hae raced down the halls of the school, when she saw that the teacher was almost about to close the door.

She frantically tried to reach the door in time, but the door shut right in her face.

‘Grr... today is not a good day,’ Eun Hae groaned. ‘I guess I have to go in there and humiliate myself.’

Knock Knock

"Yes?" the teacher asked.

The teacher opened the door and found a very exasperated Eun Hae, who was trying very hard to catch her breath. Eun Hae didn’t answer back, she gave the teacher her schedule which explained about her being a new student.

"Ahh...! You must be the new student! Come in!" the teacher pulled Eun Hae inside the classroom.

About 20 pairs of eyes were gazing at her now, which made Eun Hae want to shrink back into a corner and scurry out of sight like a mouse.

"Class! This is a new student and her name is An Eun Hae. We’re glad you’re here Eun Hae. Please go sit beside Hannah. She’s the one who’s raising her hand over there," the teacher pointed toward a girl in glasses.

For the first time being in the classroom, Eun Hae lifted her head high enough to see who the teacher was talking about. As soon as she spotted Hannah, she dropped her head down and began walking towards the empty desk in the corner of the room.

"Hey! My name’s Hannah! Nice to meet you Eun Hae," Hannah whispered to Eun Hae.

Eun Hae just ignored Hannah and took a seat.

‘Hmm... did I do something wrong?’ Hannah thought.

The class dragged on for what seemed like forever, when Eun Hae heard the bell ring, announcing that it was time for lunch. Instead of running out of the classroom like a pack of rabid wildebeests, Eun Hae stayed in her seat and opened up her lunchbox. Little did she know, the pair of eyes who saw her earlier outside were looking at her longingly, before the stranger rushed out of the room, leaving Eun Hae by herself.

Hannah was late packing her things and was about to promenade out the door when she noticed that Eun Hae was staying behind. Being the nice person she was, Hannah decided to give Eun Hae some company during lunch. (The real Hannah isn’t as nice.. j/j! hehe! ^_^)

"Hi again! Why aren’t you in the cafeteria along with the others?" Hannah asked Eun Hae, but it would’ve been better if she had just talked to herself, for Eun Hae just continued eating her lunch.

"Um.. hello? You there Eun Hae?" Hannah interrogated, waving her hand in front of Eun Hae’s face, when Eun Hae looked at her and gave her a menacing glare.

"Hey.. sorry. No need to be touchy. So... how do you like it here so far?" Hannah tried once more to get something out of Eun Hae. All she asked was for a tiny peeps from Eun Hae, but frankly, her wish wasn’t getting anywhere.

‘What’s wrong with this girl? Does she hate me already?’ Hannah kept thinking.

"Anywho.. uh... do you like anyone? You have a boy friend?" Hannah questioned, but without waiting for Eun Hae’s ‘answer’ this time, she just continued blabbing on.

"Hey! Don’t you think Chil Hyun is SO nice? Do you know who he is? I find him very cute, but don’t tell anyone this ok?" Hannah had no idea logical explanation why she was spilling her deepest secret to some strange girl who wasn’t even paying a heed of attention to her.

‘Chil Hyun? What a gay name,’ Eun Hae thought.

"His friend Tony is REALLY nice too! You know him?" Hannah continued, speaking even faster and her voice getting even louder.

As soon as Eun Hae heard the word ‘Tony’, she completely froze and had to prevent herself from puking over her lunch.

"Is something wrong Eun Hae? You OK?" Hannah asked, ready to panic for she thought Eun Hae was having some sort of asthma attack.

At the sight of seeing Hannah about to faint, Eun Hae burst out laughing. Noticing that her laughing shattered the silence, she shut herself up and preoccupied herself by eating her lunch.

"What? What’s so funny?" Hannah asked.

As Eun Hae saw the strange look on Hannah’s face, for Hannah reminded her of some kind of fish looking like that, she began laughing like a lunatic.

"AHAHAHA!!! I...." Eun Hae laughed, but quickly stopped herself. For the first time, she had spoken to someone and she dared not speak anymore.

Hannah was jumping with joy when she heard Eun Hae say ‘I’.

‘Woohoo! I got her to talk!’ Hannah beamed with great pride.

"You what?" Hannah asked, hoping that Eun Hae might possibly continue her broken sentence.

Eun Hae realized what she had done and raced out of the classroom. She continued to run wherever. ‘I can’t believe you did that Eun Hae! Now that Hannah’s going to expect you to talk to her! You should’ve watched yourself!’ Eun Hae scolded.

Wham!

Eun Hae had collided with someone who was pretty heavy and who was beginning to knock off her breathing. She slowly inched her eyes opened and tried to focus on whatever she had bumped into. As soon as she regained her consciousness, a huge pair of eyes were all she came into contact with. This stranger was completely on top of her. Enraged by this behavior, Eun Hae, without even thinking, rose her hand and slapped the guy flat across his cheek. To compliment that gesture, she gave the rude boy a good kick in the crotch, than she ran as far away as she could.

"AAAHHH!" the boy screamed, as he began crouching on the ground painfully, all the while clinging to his hurt cheek.

Eun Hae didn’t realize this at the time, but this wasn’t going to be her first encounter with the big-eyed guy.

Chapter 6

***************

‘Ugh! Why does this world have so many perverts? Who does he think he is?! That little punk better watch out because next time, he won’t get away so fortunately,’ Eun Hae began threatening.

‘Ah! That girl sure kicks hard! Man! Now how am I supposed to get to lunch on time?’ Hee Jun worried, as he slowly hobbled away to the cafeteria. ‘Ahahaha. She was cute though. Hmm. Never seen her before, maybe she’s new?’

Eun Hae searched around for a seat outside where she could finish her lunch without anyone bothering her. She finally decided to sit beneath the huge oak tree in the middle of the schoolyard. No big-eyed creature would bother her here. Eun Hae gave a slight chuckle and once again, she caught herself studying everyone else that was around her.

"YO TONY!" yelled an enthusiastic Chil Hyun from across the lunchroom.

"Hey! How’s it going?" Tony questioned back.

"It’s been good. Where’s Hee Jun hyung?" Chil Hyun asked.

"Right here.." came a not-too-happy voice.

"Hyung! What happened??? You hurt??" Chil Hyun began panicking and ran over to Hee Jun.

"Aigo... I’m fine. Sheesh. You worry too much. Haha..." Hee Jun began laughing as he saw Chil Hyun’s pouty expression.

"So? Like Chil Hyun said, what happened?" Tony asked again.

"You see... there was this chick who was hurrying off somewhere and I sort of ran into her. Then, before I knew it, I get slapped AND kicked in that place! Today is not my day!" Hee Jun explained, pitifully shaking his head at the same time.

"PUHAHAHA! You got whooped by some girl! HAHAHAHA!" Tony began cracking up so much, he had to stop himself from falling out of the chair.

"She seemed to be new here. Haven’t seen her before. You know who she is Tony? Being the lady’s man.. er monkey, and all," Hee Jun questioned Tony, than began laughing hilariously at that last comment.

‘Sh*t, don’t tell me Hee Jun met.... ARGH! Not that little b*tch! God! I’m going to have to seriously hurt her when I get home!’ Tony began cursing, failing to notice that Hee Jun had just criticized him.

"Hello?"

A hand was flashing furiously before Tony’s eyes, which made him return to his right mind.

"Huh? Sorry. Never met her Hee Jun," Tony sputtered stupidly.

"Hey! That’s her!! Out there! Beneath the tree! AHH!! I have to go properly introduce myself. kekeke!" With that, Hee Jun practically disappeared into thin air.

Tony curiously looked out of the window to see who Hee Jun was so excited about. Soon as he saw a yellow blob of hair approaching "her", Tony almost fainted.

"Tony! You ok?" Chil Hyun shockingly asked.

"Um... yea...," was all Tony could answer.

Curiosity got the best of Chil Hyun also and he was wondering who this girl whom Hee Jun was so amazed about was. He peeked out of the lunchroom window and began searching with his eyes for Hee Jun. He noticed him quickly for his bright yellow shirt was almost hurting Chil Hyun’s eyes. Then, he saw the girl who had entranced Hee Jun and made a slight gasp. "It’s... her...," Chil Hyun whispered in a barely audible voice.

‘When will this day ever end? It’s too long!’ Eun Hae began her daily dose of complaining about miscellaneous subjects that seemed to bother her at that moment. ‘And being new here hasn’t made it any better.’

"Ahn nyoung!"

"AAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A wide stupidly grinning face was only a millimeter away from Eun Hae’s face. The guy came out of nowhere, causing Eun Hae to shoot straight up into the air.

"Sorry! Did I scare you?" Hee Jun asked, trying to calm the frightened Eun Hae.

‘AAHHH! It’s him! Gotta get away! That pervert!’ Eun Hae gathered her half-eaten sandwich, shoved it into Hee Jun’s open mouth, and took off.

"Mmm.. PB & J! Ahahahahaha! Thanks for sharing your lunch with- Hello?" Hee Jun searched around the whole place, circling the tree a few times to come out with nothing. Many students passing by stared at him, thinking that he was some lunatic escaping from a mental asylum.

"Hello? Where’d you go? AISH! You lost her again Hee Jun you babo!" Hee Jun knocked himself hard on his head, than realizing he hit himself a little too hard, began to frantically rub the sore spot he had created for himself.

Hee Jun was just about to walk back and join Tony and Chil Hyun for lunch when he noticed Eun Hae’s long, beautiful hair cascading down her back like a waterfall.

‘AHA! You can’t escape from Moon Hee Jun THAT easily! KEKEKE!" and Hee Jun began running after Eun Hae, with his silly grin plastered all over his face.

Chapter 7

**************

‘Hurry Eun Hae! Get away from that creep! Oomph!’ Eun Hae held on to her head, trying to force the spinning to stop. ‘Ow....ugh... my head...’

"Can I help you miss?" Hee Jun queried, one of his eyebrows slightly raised as he reached out his hand to help Eun Hae up.

Eun Hae was about to happily accept the offer when she looked up and saw who was daring to help her. Her eyes as big as dinnerplates, Eun Hae swiftly pulled her hand away from Hee Jun’s and grudgingly got up. All she gave Hee Jun in return was not her hand but an intimidating and harsh scowl.

"Um... did I do something wrong? Hehe?" Hee Jun playfully solicited, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

‘What did he do wrong?? WHAT did he do wrong??? This psycho surprises me more and more every time I see him!’ Eun Hae decided.

‘First, he practically tries to get all over me. Second, he starts to follow and probably even SPY on me, and NOW THIS??? He actually thinks I’m going to be all happy and merry about all of this and ask him to go have a cup of coffee with me? What has happened to the world these days?’ Eun Hae gripingly thought as she began to once again try to relieve herself of this despicable animal.

"Ahem," Hee Jun coughed, thinking that it’ll get Eun Hae’s attention. "Allow me to introduce myself, miss," Hee Jun began, taking a short bow before Eun Hae as if she was some person of highly respectable rank.

"My name is Moon Hee Jun. And yours?" Hee Jun requested of Eun Hae.

‘My gosh! Now he wants to know my name! He’s probably going to track down where I live and kidnap me or who knows what!’ Eun Hae angrily heeded.

All Hee Jun got out of Eun Hae was a toss of her long hair and her back staring at him.

‘What am I doing wrong? I swear I didn’t do anything to this girl! Well Moon Hee Jun! She’ll get around! Just wait..’ Hee Jun began telling himself.

‘AHH! Tony and Chil Hyun are still in the cafeteria! Tony must be pissed at me by now!’ Hee Jun complained as he headed towards the lunchroom.

‘Aish! That b*tch is probably seducing Hee Jun by now! No wonder he’s not back yet! God d*mmit! That little slut! Trying to take my friends! Grrrr..’ Tony angrily contemplated in his mind, while Chil Hyun, on the other hand, was thinking completely different from Tony.

‘Chil Hyun... calm down... Ok ok.. So what if Hee Jun is out there taking the only girl that took your breath away like that! God! Why her? Out of all the girls Hee Jun hyung can get.. her?? Why do I have the worst luck in the world?! I should’ve approached her before! You have to tell her... about.. the past... and.. ugh! This is so confusing! Man.. my head is aching now...’ Chil Hyun began cursing in his brain.

"Hey you guys! Sorry for making you wait so long!" came a rather gleeful Hee Jun.

"YAH! Where the hell were you Hee Jun! God!" Tony began spitting a few more harsh words before he calmed down a bit,

"Hey.. I didn’t know you’d get mad that easily.. Sheesh!" Hee Jun sighed and decided to tell his tale about meeting the girl of his dreams...

"She’s the most perfect being in the world! She’s probably an angel that fell from heaven! Aahh.." Hee Jun began daydreaming about his perfect little fantasy world where only him and Eun Hae subsided in.

Tony sat up and began to listen to Hee Jun but the instant he heard Hee Jun call that devil of a girl an ‘angel’, he once again almost got knocked out dead.

"AN ANGEL??? She’s probably Satan in a girl’s form!! AAHHH! She’s bewitched Hee Jun!" Tony grumbled under his breath.

"But... there’s one little problem. She sort of.. well.. didn’t talk to me.. but hey! All the ladies love me! Ahahaha! I’ll get her soon! Just watch me!" Hee Jun proudly beamed, his chest seeming to puff up a bit.

"O geez.." Tony wailed, as he let out an extremely lengthy moan, that sounded like some animal suffering from a tremendous amount of pain.

‘Hee Jun... why are you doing this to me?’ Chil Hyun silently wept. ‘She.. her... you.. why?’

Chapter 8

**************

The final bell rang throughout the whole school. It was a symbol announcing that the students were finally free, free to go home or elsewhere, and enjoy the rest of the day. This is what it meant for the majority of the students at Seoul High. (I just made that up because I don’t know any Korean high schools hehe :P) But, the bell represented something totally different for one girl. That girl was Eun Hae. As much as Eun Hae wanted the day to end, she didn’t want to go back to that place. Back to the house that will forever enclose her from the rest of the world. Back to... Tony. Eun Hae took as long as time would allow her to pack her things and step outside of the classroom. She dreaded every footstep she took, every tile she walked on, every flight of stairs that will lead her to.. him.

Tony was once again impatiently waiting for Eun Hae to come out of the school building. "GOD D*MMIT! How long does it take her to get here! GOD!" Tony slammed his steering wheel causing the loud horn to vibrate out to the passerby’s.

Tony decided to listen to some music to get him calmed down. He was listening so loud and he was so into it, he didn’t even see Eun Hae finally step into the car. Eun Hae just sat there for a while, trying to avoid Tony and drown herself in the music. She was sort of hoping Tony would start the car by now but it wasn’t budging at all. Eun Hae decided to wait a while, thinking that maybe Tony was just resting a bit or some other sort of bland excuse like that.

Eun Hae sat there, tapping her foot against the seat, calmly awaiting Tony to start the car and get on they’re way. Frankly, Tony didn’t seem to be moving at all. Wondering what in the world Tony was doing, Eun Hae decided to inspect what Tony was doing when she saw a line of drool slobbering down the side of his pale cheek.

‘What??! He was sleeping all this time?? Who does he think he is, making me wait here for nothing?!’ Eun Hae was outraged out how idiotic Tony and how he even thought about challenging her in this little game.

‘Well Tony. Fine, since I don’t really feel like playing it your way, I’ll play it my way’ Eun Hae snickered sinfully, her wide grin was of pure wickedness at that moment. No one would’ve guessed that this quiet little girl could be so cunningly tricky if she wanted to be.

Eun Hae’s hand vanished into her backpack for a while and then reappeared again with her well-sized history textbook in her hand. ‘Hehe.. this should do the trick. You’ll pay for making me sit here and wait for you Ahn Tony!’

Eun Hae elevated her hands about a foot from Tony’s head and casually let the heavy book slip out of her hands.

"AAAHHHH! MAN! WHAT THE F*CK WAS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!" Tony raged insanely while clutching his tender head that kept throbbing with an excruciating pain which made his skull feel like it was about to explode!

"PUHAHAHAHAHA!" Eun Hae was cracking up, rolling all over the back seat of the car, holding onto her stomach and slapping her thighs.

Eun Hae continued to mockingly giggle at Tony, pointing at his extreme behavior, for he was hunched up grasping on to his head, which made him look very much like a monkey. The thought of Tony jumping around, being a monkey made Eun Hae cackle even more immensely than before. Her cheeks were turning into a shade of dark crimson red and she had to struggle to keep on breathing for all that laughing had worn her out.

Tony felt as if his head was getting better, but then he heard the cruel sounds of his ‘sister’ coming from the back.

"ARGH!!!! Haven’t you tortured me enough?" Tony barked at Eun Hae, who seemed to have a difficult time keeping in her laughter.

Tony clasped onto his steering wheel, driving back home with one hand massaging his bruise on his head and the other driving the car. At the same time, his ears had to hear the annoying outbursts of chuckling from Eun Hae, which was beginning to get on Tony’s last nerves.

Chapter 9

"DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at that outburst, Mr. An almost bounded out of his huge leather chair in his office.

"Tony! Don’t scream like that ever again!" Mr. An scolded Tony, while clutching his chest. "You’re going to give me a heart attack one of these days barging in here, screaming like a banshee!" Mr. An chuckled light heartily.

"DAD!!!!! I can’t STAND her anymore!!!!" Tony shrieked at the top of his lungs, rushing closer to his father.

"Who?" Mr. An responded, not very sure of who Tony was complaining about now.

"HER!!!!!!!!!! GGRRR!!! She’s a b*tch from hell!" Tony swore, waving his fists in the air like an escaped maniac.

"TONY! Watch your language! You do not use that foul mouth of yours in this household you hear? Now, who is bothering you so much may I ask?" Mr. An questioned politely.

"EUN HAE! Take her back! She is getting so.. ANNOYING!!!" Tony cried. Then, the pain in his head came surging back which made him even more angry.

"AHH!! Look at what she did?!" Tony pointed at the red bump on his head.

"Now now Tony. Don’t go around falsely accusing your sister and it isn’t acceptable to treat her like some sort of merchandise from a store! It isn’t a very nice thing to make her feel unwelcome already! Well, I’ll have a little chat with Eun Hae and see if she really meant to do this to you. It could’ve been an accident, Tony, a mere accident," Mr. An finished off, shooed Tony away, and returned his attention back to the pile of papers lying on his desk.

"WHAT??!?!?!? ACCIDENT?!?!?!?!? EESH!" Tony screeched, furiously punching a hole into the wall.

"Accident, my *ss! Does this look like a f*cking accident..." Tony stumbled out of the office, ignoring the stern look on his father’s face that followed after he began cursing.

*~ At dinnertime ~*

"So Eun Hae dear. Do you like it here so far?" Mrs. An questioned, trying to break the eerie silence.

Eun Hae looked up from her plate and answered with a nod, than continued to eat after that.

‘She acts so innocent around my parents.. I ought to...’ Tony’s thoughts were broken from the sound of Mr. An’s voice booming into his ears.

"Well, Eun Hae! Is Tony treating you all right honey?" Mr. An asked Eun Hae, staring straight at Tony the whole time the question was being asked.

Eun Hae was about to bob her head up and down, then quickly stopped to think of this situation. ‘Hmm... maybe I should get Tony into a bit more trouble eh?’ Eun Hae began devising yet another evil scheme of hers. She nodded a firm ‘no’ and saw the shocked face on Tony and the disturbed looks on Mr. and Mrs. An.

"WHAT THE!" Tony yelled, furious at the trick that Eun Hae had just played.

"Excuse me Eun Hae? Is Tony disturbing you or something?" Mrs. An cooed in her soft voice, but there was a hint of worriness in her words.

"TONY AN! You see me this instant!" Mr. An bellowed like a bear, then quietly turned back to Eun Hae and followed up with kind "You too, Eun Hae dear."

As Tony grumbled up the stairs leading to the family room, Eun Hae had the most annoying smile on her face in Tony’s eyes. Mr. An notioned for Eun Hae to take a seat.

"Now, Eun Hae. How has Tony been bothering you?" charged Mr. An.

"WHAT??? You’re going to believe someone you’ve known for only a day over someone you’ve known for 17 years????" Tony screamed.

"Tony! Please calm down! Eun Hae, may I ask you one question?" Mr. An courteously asked.

Eun Hae answered with another nod of her head thinking that things were turning out to be very interesting.

"Tony here has been claiming that there is some sort of mishap between you two and that you have been physically hurting him. I certainly do not believe this is true, but just encase, is it?" Mr. An interrogated.

‘Time to sharpen your acting skills, Eun Hae,’ she thought.

Eun Hae’s lower lip began to quiver and an extremely hurt look was written all over her face. She looked up innocently at Mr. An and shook her head sideways, persuading him that Tony was lying.

"TONY AN! I told you not to go and lie about others! Son, I’m sorry that I have to do this, but you are grounded for a month! This behavior of yours is not acceptable! You will from now on, be very nice to Eun Hae to make up for what rude things you have done. Also, you will come home directly from school everyday for a month!" Mr. An commanded, then left the room with a satisfied Eun Hae. As Mr. An and Eun Hae walked out of the room, Eun Hae turned around and gave a smile of victory to Tony.

"F*CK THIS! SH*T!!!!!!!!!! I HATE YOU EUN HAE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Tony began tossing and hurling everything that his hands could get a hold of. Then, he stomped up one of many staircases in his house, and marched toward his rooms.

"You’re going to pay dearly Eun Hae. DEARLY. MUAHAHAHAHHA!" Tony began cackling like a mad scientist.

Chapter 10

**************

"Hey Tony! Over here!" Chil Hyun waved to Tony, so that Tony could see where Hee Jun and Chil Hyun were in the lunchroom.

"You guys.. I have a BIG favor to ask you," Tony sincerely said.

"And what is that? Anything for my best friend," Hee Jun replied, patting Tony’s back.

"Look, Eun Hae-," Tony was about to explain that Eun Hae had gotten him grounded for a whole month, but he didn’t want to tell Hee Jun and Chil Hyun that he had a new sister, so he quickly stopped mid-sentence and lied right through his teeth. "Uh... I mean, my dad has gotten me grounded for a whole month.. and um.. it’s because.. of...," Tony was stuck. He didn’t know how in the world he was going to add Eun Hae into his explanation without letting the guys know that she was his new sister.

"Because....?" Chil Hyun ask, wanting Tony to continue.

"Um... this girl.. she got mad at me for no reason, and uh, she told my dad! Yea! Then he gets all mad at me because he thinks that I was being mean to the girl! Which I wasn’t.. so now, I’m grounded for a whole f*cking month! God! This makes me mad! I have to come straight home from school! I can’t go anywhere!" Tony wailed, his hands resting in his hands.

"Aww.. man! We’re going to have to get you out of this mess!" Hee Jun exclaimed. "Now how are we involved in all of this? You said we needed to do you a favor, so what is it?"

"You see... the girl who got me in trouble was.. um... how do I say this? The girl you fell head over heels in love with Hee Jun. Her name’s Eun Hae," Tony clarified.

Hee Jun’s eyes widened and his mouth gasped open.

"Her name is.. Eun Hae?? Aww.. the name of an angel.." Hee Jun sighed.

Tony then slapped Hee Jun upside his head, which interrupted another one of Hee Jun’s daydreams.

"What was that for?" Hee Jun sobbed, pretending to look hurt, while rubbing his little head.

"She is ANYTHING besides in angel! She got me into all this trouble!" Tony raised his hands and looked like as if he was about to hurt Hee Jun even more.

"Whoa... calm down! OK ok, sorry for getting carried away a bit.. hehe!" Hee Jun smiled that foolish smile of his, but it didn’t help the situation a bit.

"Well Tony," Chil Hyun spoke for the first time since this conversation started. "What do you want us to do?"

On the exterior surface, Chil Hyun looked as if he really didn’t care much about this girl, Eun Hae, but on the inside, his heart was beating against his chest and he swore that he felt like someone could’ve heard it beat. ‘Eun Hae... I’ve finally found you...What’s happened to you?’ Chil Hyun wondered.

"Well Chil Hyun, this is more like a favor I need to ask of Hee Jun more than you, all right?" Tony spoke.

"Oh. It’s cool then. Hey, you guys? I’m going to go out on the roof for a bit, just need some fresh air? See you later," Chil Hyun stood up and quickly headed toward the stairs.

‘Hm.. what’s wrong with that kid?’ Hee Jun thought, but shrugged it off, focusing his attention at what Tony was trying to ask of him.

"Well Hee Jun. This is going to benefit both you and me. I’ll get back at her and you can enjoy her presence wherever you go? Now, since Eun Hae doesn’t seem to like you very well-" Tony began.

"HEY! Don’t say that! She could be just very shy!" Hee Jun spewed, quite angry at what Tony said.

"Whatever. Anyway, you’re going to have to follow Eun Hae everywhere she goes. Got that? That means, bug her till death! Do whatever you did earlier to get her.. annoyed!" Tony shouted.

"How can a face like this ever annoy ANYONE?" Hee Jun slyly said.

"Aigo....." Tony moaned, shaking his head.

"Well Tony! If I get to be around my beloved chunsa, this is the coolest favor you have asked me! I gotta go chase after my Eun Hae now! BYE!" Hee Jun giddily bounced off, acting like a little 2-year-old who had gotten a lollipop.

"Whatever am I going to do with you Hee Jun? Ahahaha! Eun Hae... you should’ve never crossed Tony An’s path! I guess you have to learn the hard way!" Tony laughed and decided to head back to class.

Chil Hyun was slowly climbing up the staircase leading to the rooftop.

‘Chil Hyun, calm down. Maybe it wasn’t her, maybe it was another Eun Hae. There are a lot of identical people in this world. It can’t be her Chil Hyun. She wouldn’t have come back to you, not now. It was such a long time ago. She probably forgot about you. Just go on... erase everything Tony has said,’ Chil Hyun kept telling himself, but deep down inside, something was troubling him.

Finally, Chil Hyun got to the roof but when he was about to get a fresh breath of air, he noticed that he wasn’t alone. He looked to his right, then suddenly, he felt as if he was fluttering toward heaven. His palms began to sweat, a big lump got caught in his throat, enabling him to speak. Chil Hyun wanted to get out of this place, but he just couldn’t take his soft eyes off of her.

Chil Hyun was about to approach the small, dainty figure who was looking out peacefully over the ledge, but he could not force himself to go near her. He turned around quickly and jumped back down the stairs.

Eun Hae’s hair flapped around her face in the wind. It seems as if her raven-like hair was dancing along with the wind. Her cheeks were getting rosy from the wind running into them. She took in a small amount of air, then slowly breathed it back out.

Eun Hae heard a rushing of feet behind her. It surprised her that someone else would be out here, too. She began searching for whoever was there with her attentively, but she came across with nothing.

‘That’s strange. I knew I heard something,’ Eun Hae contemplated, but she then ignored the strange feeling of deja vu and returned her gaze towards the crystalline blue skies that were mesmerizing her with its beauty and size.

Chapter 11

‘There’s goes that bell again,’ Eun Hae sighed, for there was still one more class again.

Eun Hae went down the stairs, concentrating on each step she took. She didn’t know why, but she had started to count them.

‘22...23...24..-’

"HI!!!" came a rather too cheerful voice.

Eun Hae was so startled by the loud voice in the silent staircase that she had slipped and landed flat on her bottom. Eun Hae was so angered about this rude person who had scared her half to death that she felt steam was rise out of her ears. Eun Hae got up, ready to beat up the sorry fellow who had disturbed her concentration. As she met the stranger in the eye, she gasped, than regained her angry pose.

"You ok? I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to! Need any help with your books?" Hee Jun asked while giggling like some cheerleader, snatching Eun Hae’s books from her hands.

Eun Hae gave him a glare that would send anyone in the other direction, but Hee Jun just ignored it and continued speaking merrily.

"So Eun Hae?? How are you, my princess?" Hee Jun asked Eun Hae in a whining voice.

‘Princess? HIS princess? This guy is nuts!’ Eun Hae thought angrily, and grabbed her books from his hands and began to take off, away from him.

"Hey! I’ll walk you to class!" Hee Jun offered and grabbed Eun Hae’s handing, so forcefully, Eun Hae felt as if it was going to rip right off.

Eun Hae hurried and pulled her arm back successful, only to find Hee Jun taking it back. The two stood their playing a game of tug-of-war with Eun Hae’s arm as the rope. Then, Hee Jun got tired of being about to lose to a girl, so he leaned over and heaved Eun Hae into his arms. Eun Hae surprised at what Hee Jun was doing, repeatedly slapped him on his face, arms, chest, anywhere she could. She began kicking her legs into the air and squirmed around, trying to at least make Hee Jun drop her. Hee Jun proved to be pretty strong, for he had carried an unwilling Eun Hae to her class, no matter how much she was pulling his hair, poking his eyes, and stretching his ears so far, they turned red.

"Well, here’s your class Eun Hae! I’ll see you after school! Oh yea! Tony said I would drop you off because.. I don’t know. He just told me I had to drop you off!" Hee Jun took one glance at the angry Eun Hae and hurriedly walked toward his classroom.

Chapter 12

**************

Eun Hae looked as if she had been in a wild animal attack. Her hair was in one messy pile and frizzed out all over the place. Her shoes were close to falling and some of her nails were broken from scratching and poking Hee Jun a tremendous amount of times. Eun Hae stepped into the classroom, once again, all eyes lay on her. This time, not because she was new, but because she looked like a human disaster! Eun Hae returned the strange gazes with a cold stare and walked over to her seat.

"Psst! Hey! What happened?" Hannah interrogated, as soon as Eun Hae took her seat.

Eun Hae contemplated on whether to actually talk to Hannah or not.

‘Hmm... she doesn’t seem too mean. Eun Hae! No! You will not let yourself fall into anyone’s trap! They’re just going to pretend that they’re your friend, then they’ll all disappear... just like... mommy,’ Eun Hae began desperately shaking her head, trying to get the memories of her abusive mother out of her mind. She just couldn’t take it anymore. Eun Hae grabbed her books and ran out of the classroom, in the middle of the teacher’s lessons. Hannah, thinking that something was terribly wrong went to go follow Eun Hae.

The teacher just had a strange look as the two girls escaped out of the room. She was about to go and yell at them and tell them to come back, but decided to just continue with her lesson. "OK, class, a + b ...."

Eun Hae lunged towards the door, she wanted to get away from this school. She stepped outside and began to promenade towards the gigantic oak tree that had become her only sort of friend this school had given her. She plopped down unto the ground and let her head hang lifeless.

‘What’s happening to you? You’re not supposed to show everyone that you’re a coward Eun Hae!’ she began scolding herself once more.

"Eun Hae? What’s wrong? You shouldn’t go running out of class like that!" Hannah gasped.

‘What do you know?’ Eun Hae coldly glared at Hannah, she was already getting on Eun Hae’s bad side.

"EUN HAE! What the hell have I done wrong to you? Huh? Answer me! I’ve tried to be your friend and help you out, but will you let me? NO! Why are you always ignoring me like that!" Hannah began screaming at Eun Hae, her face already transforming into a light red.

Eun Hae looked up at Hannah, that’s when she just couldn’t control it anymore. Eun Hae broke down and began sobbing like a child who had been lost. Her tears tipped over the brim of her eyes, her lip began shaking uncontrollably, and she just lost it.

"Oh my gosh! Eun Hae! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to-!" Hannah began to seriously apologized to the hurt Eun Hae. Not knowing what to do she began to kneel down and comfort the crying girl, who seemed like she had bottled up all these emotions inside of her all these years.

Eun Hae realized that she had been crying in front of a person. She had never ever cried before, she didn’t want people to know that they can hurt her. She always felt that crying in front of others would show them that she was weak and that they could trample all over here. It wasn’t Hannah that was making her act like this, just all these memories of the past were flooding back to her like a roaring river and Eun Hae just had to let them out.

"Eun Hae... what’s wrong?" Hannah asked with concerned eyes.

"I...*hiccup*.. I’m...sorry," Eun Hae barely managed to get out, before she went bawling again.

"Look, Eun Hae. Let me tell you one thing, it’s not very good to keep all these things inside of you. Trust me, I’ve been there. And it’s not a very helpful thing to do, just staying silent and shutting yourself away from the world. Since there’s still like 2 hours of school left, lets go somewhere ok? On the way.. you can tell the great Hannah everything that’s wrong ok?" Hannah suggested.

Eun Hae giggled at Hannah. She reluctantly sat up and pushed herself away from the protection of the great oak tree. Hannah had indeed kept her word. She silently listened to all the things that Eun Hae was spilling out to her. Eun Hae began telling her whole life story, how much she wanted a friend but was afraid to let people get near her. By the time the two friends arrived back to the school grounds, Eun Hae had found a great new thing. She had finally found a friend in Hannah. They together walked up the stone steps, ready to enter Seoul High, when they heard the bell ring.

"Well Eun Hae! I’ll see you tomorrow! Remember, if you need someone to talk to or just want to hang out someplace, I’m here ok? Bye!" Hannah waved while heading toward her car.

‘That wasn’t so bad huh?’ Eun Hae began thinking.

"EUN HAE!!!!!!!!!"

Eun Hae turned her head towards the sound of her name. She then saw who the voice belonged to. The only thing her brain was telling her to do was to run, but her feet were frozen into the ground. As a yellow blob of color bounced its way over to her, she noticed Tony beside him. Eun Hae narrowed her eyes into thin slits and directed the evil look to Tony. Tony was just standing there with the grin that told Eun Hae that he had the last laugh.

"AHN NYOUNG EUN HAE!" Hee Jun yelled into her ear, probably breaking her ear drums now.

Eun Hae just stared at the too-happy boy and almost puked, illustrating her thoughts to Hee Jun.

"Aww.. Eun Hae! You don’t hate me already do you?" Hee Jun cooed, showing off his sad puppy eyes and frown.

‘You don’t know the beginning of my hatred for you,’ Eun Hae shot back in her mind.

"Eun Hae, have a safe trip with Hee Jun here! I gotta run! Bye!" Tony then left the two standing there, laughing his head off.

"Allow me to have the honor of escorting you to my car," Hee Jun requested, holding his arm up in a gentleman’s position, pleading for Eun Hae to hold on to him.

Eun Hae just made a disgusting face and started walking to the massive amounts of cars parked on top of the black asphalt.

"Nope! My car’s right there!" Hee Jun corrected Eun Hae and opened the door, notioning for her to get in.

Eun Hae rolled her eyes heavenward and stepped in, slamming the door once she was tucked inside.

Hee Jun started his car and began driving towards Eun Hae’s home.

‘At least he doesn’t keep me waiting, unlike that stupid poopface Tony. Grr.. this is revenge, Tony, revenge!’ Eun Hae began beaming with evilness and once again, plotted another scheme. This time, not for Tony, but for the energetic guy sitting right beside her.

"See Eun Hae! This isn’t so bad! Right? Hehehe!" Hee Jun squealed like a pig and rambled on and on about anything at the top of his head.

Eun Hae completely shut him off from her and reached into her bag. ‘Aha! There it is!’ Eun Hae spotted what she was looking for. ‘Good thing I kept this from art class. Now let’s see, how can I-’

"OOOH! It’s a balloon! Could I have one?" Hee Jun begged.

Eun Hae gave him a look that said "No" and began blowing up the bright blue balloon. Hee Jun was almost at the Ahn residence, and before Eun Hae could tie up the balloon that was bigger than her head, Hee Jun had parked his car and already was getting out. Hee Jun opened the door for Eun Hae on the other side and handed her a backpack as she was ready to get out.

Eun Hae stepped out of the car and was holding her balloon as if it was a grand prize a little child had won from the carnival

"I’ll see you tomorrow Eun Hae!!! BYE!" Hee Jun yelled out of the car window. Hee Jun bent over and straightened the messy pile of junk in his car. He held onto the steering wheel and tapped lightly on the accelerator. The engine roared to life and just as Hee Jun was to drive away, an unidentifiable object popped up right before him! Hee Jun slammed the brakes, thus causing him to run into the tree in the Ahn’s front lawn. The airbags slammed against his face, as he was unprepared to run into them. Hee Jun sat there, frozen in shock. The object that had scared him silly had flown out of the other window and all Hee Jun could see was that it was bright blue.

Tony was happily humming to himself when out in front of his windshield appeared a blur of neon blue. Reacting on his instincts, Tony stepped on the brakes, but frankly, the car hadn’t stop yet, until it met with Hee Jun’s rear bumper. Tony collided with the air bag and his banged against the car seat like a coiled up spring that was just realized. The only mark left of the killer balloon was a popped cartridge of it.

Tony leaped out of his wrecked vehicle. The only thing he came in contact with was a slim figure bending over and clutching her side. At first, Tony panicked, thinking he had ran into Eun Hae, but then his ears picked up the sound of her shrewd laughter, echoing from one ear to the next. Tony clumped his hands into the balls of massive strength and was right about to pop Eun Hae cold in the mouth, when he noticed that he had ran into Hee Jun’s car!

"OH MY GOD!!! Hee Jun!! Are you okay?" Tony worriedly screamed.

Tony rushed over to Hee Jun’s car, only to find him still sitting there with his mouth wide open.

"WHAT THE F*CK HAPPENED??!" Tony screamed, fighting to not lose his temper.

All Hee Jun replied was with a shrug and went back to staring at his deflating air bag.

"YOU!!!!!" Tony, outraged by what had just happened, pointed his finger directly at the laughing Eun Hae.

"WHAT DID YOU JUST DO!??!!?!?!" Tony was now about to strangle Eun Hae.

"AHAHAHAHA!" Eun Hae continued to uncontrollably laugh at the scene that happened before her eyes.

‘I didn’t know the balloon would do this much damage! It just ‘slipped’ out of my hands! HEHEHE! Now BOTH their cars are screwed!!!!!! AHAHAHA!!!! That’s what they get!’ Eun Hae was rolling around on the lawn laughing so hard, she even made Tony wonder if she had gone nuts.

"ARGH!!! You’re going to pay for all you’ve done! Starting off with buying both Hee Jun and me a new car!" Tony stated right before he ran into the mansion.

Eun Hae just couldn’t seem to stop the laughing that burst out of her. She tried to stand up and go check up on Hee Jun, but then she would remember the balloon incident and begin to crack up all over again.

‘Mental note: I have to do this way more often!’ Eun Hae decided, finally being able to lift herself off the ground.

As Eun Hae stumbled toward the house acting like a drunkard, Hee Jun was left behind, still staring at the air bag that had become a limp plastic rag.

‘I hate balloons,’ was all Hee Jun could say of this whole accident.

Chapter 13

**************

Chil Hyun loved brisk morning jogs in the park near Tony’s house. He enjoyed the feeling of the wind calmly pattering on his dark face. The sensation of the win waving through his clean-cut, black hair just soothed him for some reason. He would always wake up around 6 AM and take a quick jog before school.

This particular morning, Chil Hyun felt that something exciting was to occur. Something that’ll completely change everything. He had no clue why he felt this strange anxiety, but he didn’t shun it.

Chil Hyun began jogging towards the park, using the breathing technique he had learned. He increased his pace little by little. He’d glance around the park, viewing the clean grass, the dainty flowers, and the beautiful clear blue lake that glistened from a distance.

As Chil Hyun began closer and closer to Swan Lake, distinctively named after the classical piece by Tchaikovsky,(is that true? For some reason, I can’t remember as well :P) he felt that strange anxiety in his gut that he had felt that morning. As he viewed the dawning sun, he noticed a slim figure dipping her bare feet into the waters of the lake.

Chil Hyun, who was quite intrigued by this newcomer, curiously began jogging towards the faint figure. To Chil Hyun, she seemed like an angel from heaven, for her white nightgown was blowing carelessly by the light wind. He crept closer and closer, seeing if he knew her or not. When Chil Hyun was finally able to make out the person, he knew why he felt that pang of anxiety earlier. Chil Hyun felt dizzy and it was as if the world was spinning round and round without him.

Eun Hae had quietly slipped out of the grand mansion. She felt like a caged bird who needed to be free. She then quietly tiptoed over to Swan Lake, a place where she could release all her thoughts. Eun Hae would go to Swan Lake every morning, for it calmed her down and prepared her for each upcoming day. Eun Hae usually didn’t go to Swan Lake without some clothes on, but today she thought that Tony was arousing and that he would get her caught for her early morning rituals. So today, she had to unnoticeably go with only her nightgown on.

How cool the crisp morning felt on her skin. It felt so enchanting and soon she was swaying along with the wind. As she approached Swan Lake, she dipped her feet into the water and took a seat along the bank. The water cooled her spirit and somehow just made Eun Hae feel relaxed.

As Eun Hae began falling into a trance of pure bliss, a sound of twigs breaking startled her from her daydreams. Eun Hae looked over her shoulder, making sure no one was around. She decided that it was probably some rabbit scampering about. She regained her attention toward the tranquil surface of the blue waters before.

Chil Hyun clung onto his heart, making sure that no one could hear his heartbeat. At the site of seeing Eun Hae here made his heart skip a beat. Chil Hyun tried to calm down but it didn’t work. Seeing Eun Hae made him want to scoop her off of the ground, twirl her around in the air, and bestow sweet kisses on her. But no, he had to control these emotions until he told her...

‘What do I do? What do I do?’ Chil Hyun’s palms became all sweaty for he didn’t know how he was supposed to approach Eun Hae. ‘Do I just go up to her and say ‘Hi! Remember me? The guy that fell in love with you ever since he saw you?’ Just get a grip!’ Chil Hyun began telling himself. He made up his mind. He had to approach her, before she vanished again. Chil Hyun had been patiently waiting for years to find Eun Hae, and finally, his long wait had paid off.

Chil Hyun crept up behind Eun Hae. He gathered up all the strength in him and let out a meek "Hi."

Eun Hae, surprised that someone had seen her, quickly got up and was about to sprint away, when she found out who had just called her. Eun Hae felt something familiar about this guy. His facial features entranced Eun Hae. She wanted to reach out and touch his soft lips and his tender cheeks. Those tender eyes of his were looking at her, straight at Eun Hae. Eun Hae didn’t know if she should run from this stranger or to just stay there.

"Eun Hae.." Chil Hyun started, than before he could even finish his sentence, Eun Hae had sprinted off somewhere, and was nowhere to be found. She had vanished right before his eyes.

‘Chil Hyun! You idiot! You lost her again,’ Chil Hyun sighed, he was disappointed at himself and for thinking that Eun Hae was going to trust some stranger that just popped right in front of her.

Chil Hyun longingly stared at the spot where Eun Hae was sitting down before she had disappeared from him, again. He sighed to himself and continued on with his morning jog.

Chapter 14

**************

‘How did that guy know my name?’ Eun Hae began searching for an answer to her question, but nothing resulted from her thoughts. ‘Where have I seen him before?’

Eun Hae was thinking whether or not she should go back to Swan Lake and confront the stranger, but then she heard the chimes of the ancient clock in the garden chimed the 7th hour.

‘Oh no! I’m going to be late!’ Eun Hae quickened her pace and went towards her house.

Eun Hae got ready in a flash and stampeded down the marble staircase when her feet slipped on the slippery surface. Eun Hae’s hand lunged to grab for something, when she suddenly collapsed into a pair of arms. Whoever had caught her had broken her fall. She leaped up, turned around to thank the person who had saved her ankle from being broken, when she saw none other than Moon Hee Jun.

Eun Hae was bursting out screaming in her head, but on the outside, she kept her cool.

"Hello Eun Hae! I’ve decided to drive you to school today since Tony already left!" Hee Jun apparently had no clue that Eun Hae was the one who had released the freak balloon that had made Hee Jun have get a brand new Mercedes.

‘What an idiot! Doesn’t he know that I made the balloon make him get a new car! He obviously doesn’t, his eyes are so big, there’s probably no space for a brain in that big head of his,’ Eun Hae thought, eyeing Hee Jun coldly.

Hee Jun patiently waited for Eun Hae to say something, but he knew he was going to be late, so he grabbed Eun Hae and made a run for the door. Before Eun Hae could react, she found herself in yet another luxurious car of Hee Jun’s.

‘Just hurry and go, you stupid pig,’ Eun Hae cursed in her mind, as she saw from the corner of her eye, Hee Jun with a grin so wide, he looked like some clown. The hair didn’t help his appearance at all.

‘That hair! It’s WEIRD! I should just- Hmm...’ Eun Hae was yet devising another plan against this annoying thorn in her side, Hee Jun. ‘Kekeke, say farewell to one of your most prized possessions,’ Eun Hae began grinning just as wide as Hee Jun.

Hee Jun noticed Eun Hae with that familiar look on her face, but then he saw a fly away in his hair in the mirror. He quickly opened up a tiny compartment in the roomy car and pulled out a can of expensive hair spray.

‘He carries hair spray in his CAR? What kind of freak are you riding with Eun Hae?’ Eun Hae began staring at Hee Jun with a strange look.

Hee Jun pulled up to Seoul High, and quickly let Eun Hae out.

‘Hee Jun, Hee Jun, what ever will I do with you?’ Eun Hae wickedly grin as the school grounds approached her.

"Eun Hae! Over here!" Hannah waved crazily at Eun Hae.

Eun Hae forgot about Hee Jun for once, and replied with a small wave of her own.

"Hurry! We’re going to be late!" Hannah grabbed Eun Hae and headed for their first period.

‘I think I’ve been grabbed and pulled enough these days,’ Eun Hae thought, straggling after Hannah.

School went by pretty fast for Eun Hae, even lunchtime wasn’t as bad as usual, for Eun Hae finally let Hannah sit by her. When the last bell rang, Hannah said her farewells, once again, leaving Eun Hae alone to tend with that freaky beast, Hee Jun.

‘If this doesn’t get you to leave me alone, I don’t know what will..’ Eun Hae began thinking, as she quickly gathered her stuff and stepped out of her classroom.

Hee Jun was there waiting for Eun Hae. As soon as he saw her walk out, he bounced over to her and heaved her stuff into his arms. Eun Hae ignored this kind gesture and walked toward the red exit sign above the door. Hee Jun ran after her and once again led Eun Hae to his car. Instead of taking the passenger seat, Eun Hae went into the back. Hee Jun found this action of Eun Hae’s strange, but just let her be. Hee Jun then drove towards her home.

Inside the car was awfully quiet. No one suggested talking, so the two just sat there. Hee Jun began to break the silence, but Eun Hae was off in her own world, so he quickly stopped trying.

As the car was nearing the Ahn residence, Eun Hae glanced over to Hee Jun. She was making sure that he wasn’t watching her next move. When she was sure that he was concentrating on the road before him, Eun Hae sneaked her hand into her bag and pulled out a pair of sharp scissors.

‘Ahahaha.. this will teach you not to bother me anymore, you freak with the weird ponytail. Sometimes I wonder if you’re truly a girl or not,’ Eun Hae then went ahead doing what she had planned ever since she saw Hee Jun.

"Here you go Eun Hae. I’ll see my princess tomorrow!" Hee Jun waved to Eun Hae.

Eun Hae tucked her right hand behind her, and profusely waved her left hand in the hair to Hee Jun. Something light was caught between the fingers of Eun Hae’s right hand. Eun Hae saw Hee Jun’s car leave the driveway, and she walked up the steps to her home with a look of triumph on her face.

"Hum..hum..hum.." Hee Jun hummed, waiting for the traffic to clear up a bit so he could go home.

"Let’s take a look at the oh-so-handsome Moon Hee Jun!" Hee Jun vainly decided and looked towards the mirror.

At first, he couldn’t find a flaw with him, so his eyes went back to the unmoving cars in front of him. Then, something caught his eye and he gazed back into the mirror.

With a look of horror on his face, Hee Jun, who was utterly shocked at this point, screamed one long scream of agony, as his head collapsed onto the steering wheel.

"Tony! I don’t want to!!!" Hee Jun sobbed, through his frequent hiccups.

"Hee Jun! You have to all right?!" Tony yelled.

"But..but... WAA!! I don’t want to!" Hee Jun began acting like a little toddler who couldn’t have his favorite toy. He pounded the arm rests of the leather chair he was seated in, and his feet were stomping against the foot pedestals.

"Hee Jun! Calm down! It’ll be ok!" Tony tried calming the stubborn Hee Jun, but to no avail. Hee Jun just wouldn’t cooperate.

"Why Tony! Why? Why did she do this to me??" Hee Jun wailed, his hands profoundly rubbing his teary eyes.

"Look.. I don’t know, but I’ll talk to her about it ok? Now just calm down, you’re going to have to do this," Tony was almost shaking the living daylights out of Hee Jun.

Hee Jun just meekly nodded his head, his finger rose, wiping a tear away.

"Tony... but.. I.. don’t want to!" Hee Jun was about to start his wailing again, when Tony quieted him down.

"Look, do this for me, and I’ll go get you some... ice cream! Yeah! Ice cream! How does that sound?" Tony suggested, waiting for Hee Jun’s outcome.

At the sound of that magical word ‘ice cream’, Hee Jun’s eyes lit up and a grin found its way onto his face.

The sharp metal points began inching their way toward Hee Jun. Slowly at first, but then they seemed to be rushing towards him. Hee Jun shut his eyes tightly, in fear of what they would do to him.

Snip!

"AAAHHH!! TONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Hee Jun began screaming out for Tony.

Tony leaped up from his chair, threw down the magazine he was looking at, and ran over to Hee Jun, thinking a serious emergency had occurred.

"TONY!!!!!!!!!" Hee Jun wailed and sobbed, his large eyes were blurry from the immense tears pouring out from them.

"God.. you are such a baby! Here!" Tony reach into his pocket and found a nice, cherry Blow Pop.

Hee Jun’s eyes caught on to the candy and his mouth formed the shape of an "O". His hands reached out to take the candy, but Tony held it back.

"Nope! Not until you promise me that you won’t scream again!" Tony ordered.

Hee Jun began pouting and crossed his arms stubbornly, but gave in, and replied with an immature "Fine."

Tony handed the red blow pop and walked back to where he was.

Hee Jun hungrily ripped off the candy wrapper and popped the candy into his mouth. He happily began bouncing around in his chair, when a sharp voice from behind snapped at him.

"Mr. Moon Hee Jun! Please stop that at once!" the lady behind him scowled.

"Yes ma’am," Hee Jun obeyed, as his head hung low.

The lady inched the scissors in her hands toward Hee Jun’s hair and began doing her work.

After what Hee Jun felt like forever, the lady wisped her comb through Hee Jun’s blonde hair, swiveled him around in the chair, and let him take a look in the mirror. Hee Jun eyed his new look closely, and feeling satisfied, he smiled and thanked his hairdresser.

As Tony and he walked toward the exit of the hair salon, Hee Jun took one last look at himself in a nearby mirror, and grinned a geeky smile.

‘Hehe! Eun Hae would love my new look! Maybe this haircut wasn’t so bad after all!’ Hee Jun thought to himself, as the two guys headed toward the nearest ice cream parlor.

Chapter 16

**************

After grabbing a delicious ice cream cone, Tony decided to walk to his house, trying to enjoy the city view. Tony finally reached his home and made his way upstairs. He had to sort some things out with a particular someone.

Tony reached for the doorknob leading to Eun Hae’s room, and when the door became slightly a jar, Tony noticed that the room was empty.

‘Now where could that she-devil have gone?’ Tony contemplated in his head, and closed the door.

Two bare feet were once again dangling in the shallow depths of the calm and soothing lake. Then, two hands began reaching into the clear waters, and Eun Hae found herself engulfed in Swan Lake. The water began swirling around her, ever so gently. She floated on her back, and let the gentle currents carry her wherever they desired. Eun Hae closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of the sweet afternoon, and drifted off into a serene slumber.

Eun Hae fluttered her eyes open, only to meet with another pair of eyes. For some reason, these eyes which she were gazing into, didn’t startle her. They were soft and kind, and Eun Hae sensed that she had seen them somewhere before. She wanted to reach out and caress the face, but something was holding her back from doing so.

Chil Hyun caught himself staring at the sleeping Eun Hae. He now knew how Hee Jun had thought she was an angel from heaven. Her features were so soft and delicate, yet they held much sorrow and mystery around them.

‘You’ve changed Eun Hae... What happened to the brightness in your life?’ Chil Hyun began wondering. Chil Hyun stared at the little waves popping out of the sky-like waters of Swan Lake. When he regained his attention toward Eun Hae, he found her two eyes staring straight at him.

Neither one of the two said a word. They just looked into each others eyes, their stares never stopping. Chil Hyun longed to tell Eun Hae about their past.. he wanted her to remember, but it wasn’t the time, not just yet.

Chil Hyun stood, brushed the invisible dust off of his clothes and offered to help Eun Hae up. Eun Hae just stared at the hand given to her, took it into her own hand, when a feeling of warmth came surging back to her. The touch of this stranger’s hand was so familiar, it scared Eun Hae a bit.

Chil Hyun noticed the tension between the two, so he broke it off with a nice "Hi."

Eun Hae looked up into the strangers face, noticing the high cheekbones, and the long brown bangs running down his face. Something about his eyes caused Eun Hae to once again look at them again. She wanted to find out who this person was and where she had seen him before.

"Eun Hae... I.. saw you floating there, and since it was getting dark, I decided to get you out.. Um.. well," Chil Hyun couldn’t find the right words to say, thus stuttering his speech.

Eun Hae began wondering how this person had known her name, and a puzzled look in her eyes told him so.

"You’re probably wondering how I know your name, Eun Hae, but I think it’s better to tell you when you’re ready. Well, my name is Chil Hyun, you’ve probably been wondering who I was all this time. I’m a friend of Tony’s, which reminds me, wouldn’t your family be wondering where you are? Where do you live? I’ll walk you back home if it’s okay with you," Chil Hyun offered, trying to not scare the already confused Eun Hae.

‘Tell me when I’m ready? Ready for what?’ Eun Hae kept wondering, trying to find some sort of answer on Chil Hyun’s face.

"Why don’t we get going now, I don’t want your parents to be worried about you," Chil Hyun suggested, with a sweet smile on his face.

Eun Hae looked up and nodded her head slightly.

"So... I’m guessing you’re letting me walk you home right?" Chil Hyun asked.

Eun Hae just answered with yet another nod and began to lead Chil Hyun in the direction of her home.

Finally when they had reached the Ahn residence, Eun Hae looked back and gave Chil Hyun a good-bye smile. Chil Hyun smiled back and began walking back to where his house was.

Eun Hae walked over to the back entrance, when she heard that dreaded voice of ‘him.’

"Eun Hae!! It’s me, Hee Jun!!" came Hee Jun’s voice from the balcony he was on.

Eun Hae glanced towards the balcony and saw Hee Jun waving to her like a mad man. He was waving so furiously, Eun Hae felt as if he was going to fall any second. Eun Hae was about to ignore Hee Jun’s greeting, when she noticed something different about him. It wasn’t his eyes, they were still huge. It definitely wasn’t his smile, Eun Hae could notice that stupid grin of his from a mile away. Eun Hae was about to shrug off this feeling of hers, when she noticed something about.... his hair! He had cut his hair!

Eun Hae dashed up the staircase to her room. She began tossing everything in her closet. At last, she had found the box she was looking for. She reached for a marker and a piece of paper, scribbled something down, and began running towards the balcony.

Eun Hae reached the final step and found herself in the presence of Tony and Hee Jun.

"Hi Eun Hae! Do you like my new haircut??!" Hee Jun squealed like some preppy cheerleader.

Eun Hae just nodded and handed Hee Jun a box. She took one look at the happy Hee Jun and another look at the glaring Tony. Eun Hae just smiled, waved good-bye, and left in a flash.

"Look! I knew Eun Hae liked me! She even gave me a present!" Hee Jun began bragging to Tony.

Tony just rolled his eyes, and shook his head pitifully.

Hee Jun hurriedly opened up the cover of the box, but what he saw wasn’t something that he had hoped for. As quickly as he was happy, his eyes began to flood with tears. Tony looked in awe of what Hee Jun was so sad about now, but once he saw what Hee Jun was about to bawl about, a look of anger flashed onto Tony’s face.

"Tony..." Hee Jun began whimpering, "It’s my hair!!!!!"

And once again, Hee Jun broke down and began sobbing like a little baby.

Chapter 17
**************

With fire burning in his eyes, Tony stampeded towards Eun Hae's room. He lunged for the doorknob and grasped it firmly in his hand. He was furious with what Eun Hae had done to Hee Jun.
'First she wrecks his car. Now this??' Tony angrily thought. He twisted the knob to its right but it wouldn’t budge. He returned the doorknob to its original position, then madly began shaking it whichever way he could, getting more frustrated every time the door failed to open.
"EUN HAE!!! OPEN THE F*CKING DOOR!!!" Tony began pounding onto the wooden door, his fist clenched tightly, ready to pass right through if he could.
Eun Hae fearfully looked at the door, awaiting for Tony to break it down and come barging in. Luckily, the lock was secure and held him back for a while. Eun Hae quickly searched the room, looking for anything, a weapon to hold Tony back if he did break the door down. But to no avail, the only thing useful was a lamp, and Eun Hae feared that she would break Tony's head off if she used it. She decided to approach a different method.
Eun Hae ran towards her elegant closet, digging through piles of dolls and clothes. Finally, she had spotted what she was looking for.
'Hehehe,' Eun Hae began planning what she would do, and grabbed the materials she needed, and headed for the door, which Tony was still trying to open. Eun Hae hauled out a stool and began working her magic.
"Eun Hae!! If you don't open this God D*mn door this minute, I'm breaking it down you here!!!!??!!" Tony screamed as loud as his vocal chords would allow.
Tony stepped back, slashing the floor with his feet, like a bull at one of those Spanish festivals that run for the man holding the red sheet. He lowered his head, turned to his side so that his shoulder would face the door. After rearing up, Tony began dashing towards Eun Hae's fragile door at the speed of light. With all his strength, Tony was right about to heave the door open, but to his surprise, the door seemed to have flown open by himself. Instead of meeting the door, Tony's face fell flat onto the floor.
"ARGH!! My nose!!" Tony immediately held onto his nose, making sure it wasn't broken. After searching his face, Tony found no injuries thankfully, and got up to go hurt Eun Hae. As soon as his bum had lifted off the floor, Tony looked up to find a mountains of dolls crashing down upon his head.
"AAAHHH!!!" Tony's scream echoed, until it was muffled by a herd of stuffed animals.
Eun Hae came out from behind the door, where she had 'innocently' witnessed her great plan. Not only had Tony hurt himself from falling, he was buried under a tremendous amount of miscellaneous objects, giving Eun Hae a chance to escape.
Using her mind wisely, Eun Hae made a run for it, and swiftly glided down the marble staircase. Before her feet had reached the ground, the doorbell rang.
Eun Hae quickly opened the door, only to find a familiar face staring straight at her. "Eun Hae!" Chil Hyun gleefully shouted. "I was just about to.. um.. nevermind. Hey, are you free today? Want to go see a movie or something?" Chil Hyun casually asked, careful not to let Eun Hae catch him blushing.
Eun Hae automatically nodded her head, wanted to escape from a furious Tony, who was probably making his way downstairs any second. Acting on instincts, she began dragging Chil Hyun towards his car.
"Hey.. shouldn't we go tell Tony or someone where you're going?" Chil Hyun asked, when Eun Hae finally had let go of him.
Eun Hae signaled a brief 'no' and headed toward the passenger seat side of the car. Chil Hyun noticed that Eun Hae was about to get in, and like a gentleman, he quickly ushered her in before she could step in herself.
After giving Eun Hae a smile, Chil Hyun hopped into his side, too.
"So.. what movie should we see?" Chil Hyun questioned, as he backed out of the driveway.
Eun Hae was about to answer with a slight shrug, but out of the corner of her eye, Eun Hae saw Tony running after the car like some escaped animal. His arms were flailing out into the air, his mouth almost wider than his head,(anyone watch sailor moon? imagine Tony screaming like Serena :P) and his hair flying in the wind.
Eun Hae noticed he was trying to stop Chil Hyun, and luckily, Chil Hyun didn't notice the frantic Tony. She regained her attention on the patient Chil Hyun, answering his question with a hurried shrug. Eun Hae impatiently waited for Chil Hyun to get away from Tony, but saw that Chil Hyun was fumbling with his seatbelt. Eun Hae turned around and saw that Tony had succeeded in crossing the huge lawn, and he was only a few feet away from the car.
Without thinking, Eun Hae grabbed the steering wheel and pushed the accelerator herself, resulting in stepping on Chil Hyun's foot.
"AHH!!!" Chil Hyun's head jerked up at the pain, and noticed that Eun Hae was 'driving' his car.
"Eun Hae!! What are you doing??" Chil Hyun asked, trying to pry Eun Hae's fingers off the wheel.
Eun Hae firmly held onto the steering wheel, glancing in the car mirror checking if Tony was proceeding towards them or not. Eun Hae's eyes darted from the road and the mirror, back and forth. Eun Hae ignored Chil Hyun's pleas to stop the car, knowing that if she listened to him, Tony would surely kill her for playing that practical joke on Hee Jun. So instead, Eun Hae continued pressing on the accelerator, a bit harder than last time.
"Ooww!!" Chil Hyun yelped with pain, as Eun Hae squished his toes, and leaving no room for him to pull his foot away from Eun Hae's.
Eun Hae just darted a look to Chil Hyun, telling him to be quiet. One look with those eyes of Eun Hae's quickly shut him up. Chil Hyun tried to be quiet, but the pain in his foot wouldn't allow him to do so. His lower lip began quivering, as Chil Hyun began whimpering like a hurt puppy.
Eun Hae was about to check up on Tony's progress when she noticed she was driving on the wrong side of the road. A car was headed at full speed toward the two, so Eun Hae swerved the car to right, causing Chil Hyun's head to run into the window.
Chil Hyun quickly held onto his bruised head. "I YAH!!!!" he screamed, since his pain had increased even more.
Eun Hae then noticed that Tony could no longer catch up, and returned to her normal position in the passenger seat, leaving a hurt Chil Hyun to steer. For the first time, Eun Hae had noticed the pain Chil Hyun had suffered and quickly reached over to see the damage done to his head. As soon as Chil Hyun saw Eun Hae proceeding towards him, he quickly scooted to the side, his head once again banging against the window.
"AAAHHH!!!" Chil Hyun screamed one more time, his shriek scaring the bejeezes out of Eun Hae. Eun Hae once again offered to help, but Chil Hyun just waved his free hand, blocking Eun Hae. Eun Hae got the message and sulked back into her seat. Chil Hyun noticed Eun Hae feeling guilty and made up for it.
"It's ok..- AAHH!" Chil Hyun reached for his head once again, the throbbing pain still being there. Eun Hae noticed this, and just motioned for Chil Hyun to continue. Chil Hyun replied with a nod, but once again, just ended up screaming with pain. Eun Hae winced at his loud whimpering and just looked out of the window.

Chapter 18
**************

"AHN CHIL HYUN!!!!!! GET BACK HERE!!!!" Tony pursued after the speeding car, but ended up just lagging further and further behind. "Just wait Eun Hae!!! You better stay with Chil Hyun for a long time, because when you get back..."Tony screamed into the air, his fist waving angrily," You're going down!"
As soon as those words left Tony's mouth, Tony coincidentally tripped over a pothole in the road. Tony pushed his arms forward, struggling to break his fall, but to no use, his face had a nice meeting with the ground.
"AAAHH!!! SH*T!!! MY NOSE!!!!" Tony reached for his already worn out nose, this time it seemed like it was broken for real. "F*ck this man!!! EESH!" Tony cursed, as he headed back to his home, his hand over his nose, looking like some strange elephant.

"So.. we're here," Chil Hyun vaguely whispered to Eun Hae, the pain in his head reminding him of what damage this "sweet" person could do.
Noticing Chil Hyun still being weary of her, Eun Hae let out a small chuckle.
Chil Hyun, thinking that Eun Hae was laughing at him, quickly turned around and faced Eun Hae.
"What's so funny?" Chil Hyun asked.
Seeing the serious look on his face, Eun Hae began giggling even more.
"Yah... what you laughing at now huh?" Chil Hyun joked, and then began tickling Eun Hae.
"AAAHH!" Eun Hae screamed, and slapped Chil Hyun accidentally on his bruised spot.
"I YAH!!!" Chil Hyun grabbed onto his head, whimpering even more than he was in the car. Eun Hae just placed her hands on her hips and shook her head.
Acting like a nurse, Eun Hae stood up on her tiptoes, making Chil Hyun bend his head over a bit for he was a bit too tall for her. Checking to see if there was any bruises, Eun Hae noticed there weren't any. She playfully hit Chil Hyun's head for acting like such a baby, which made Chil Hyun complain about the pain even more.
Eun Hae threw her hands up in the air, giving up on Chil Hyun, for there was simply no way to cheer him up. She officially called this case impossible and went to stand in line for the movie. Seeing that Eun Hae was leaving without him, Chil Hyun ran after her. Scooting right in behind Eun Hae, Chil Hyun began tickling Eun Hae again for hitting him. Eun Hae began laughing like crazy and tried to get Chil Hyun to stop, which was not an easy task to do.
This behavior between the two got a man who was standing behind them a bit angry.
"Some of us are wanting to watch a movie here! If you're going to continue that childish behavior, go do it somewhere else!" the frustrated man bellowed.
Eun Hae and Chil Hyun stopped what they were doing as soon as they heard the man, and regained their position and quietly waited in line. When they finally reached the ticket booth, Chil Hyun immediately got two tickets for a romance movie, thinking Eun Hae was into those things. Eun Hae immediately shook her head in disgust, and pointed the Mi:2 banner.
"Mission Impossible 2? You want to see that over 'Sarang'?" (I can't think of a romance movie right now so I’m making one up :P) Chil Hyun curiously asked.
Eun Hae just kept shaking her head and pointed to the Mi:2 banner.
"Okay then..." Chil Hyun reluctantly agreed, really wanting to see the other movie.

"So, you like that movie?" Chil Hyun asked Eun Hae, as they departed from the theater.
Eun Hae just bobbed her head up and down. It was pretty late at night, the sky was already a pitch black with a few stars sprinkling the surface. Eun Hae rhythmically kept nodding her head for no reason, as she slowly began closing her eyes.
Chil Hyun saw that Eun Hae was beginning to dose off, so he let her head rest on his shoulder. It felt so comfortable right then and there. The two began walking, snuggling closer for warmth, for the wind was beginning to get very crisp and cold.
When they reached the car, Chil Hyun laid Eun Hae into the seat, pulling the seat back so she'd be more comfortable. As Chil Hyun headed back to Tony's house, he couldn't help but glance over at Eun Hae. She looked so peaceful sleeping there, and Chil Hyun caught himself blushing again.
'Control yourself, Chil Hyun. What's this new thing I'm feeling right now? Well, whatever it is, I'm beginning to enjoy it. But.. you still have to tell her, or she'll never know,' a worried look appeared on Chil Hyun's face the whole drive to Tony's.

"Where is she??!! I'm going to beat the sh*t out of her!!!" Tony, who was furious at Eun Hae leaving without even telling anyone, was beginning to throw things at the wall.
Everytime an object hit the wall, Hee Jun just winced. He never did like seeing Tony's mad side, but these days, his mad side was revealed more than the other side of Tony. Hee Jun had stayed all this time with Tony. He had to find someway to stop Tony from hurting Eun Hae. True, what she did really hurt Hee Jun, but he still loved her nonetheless. Hee Jun began his daydreams once more, imagining Eun Hae arriving with some gift for Hee Jun and apologizing right in front of him.
'If she looks that beautiful, her voice must be as beautiful as well, hehe' Hee Jun began grinning once again at the thought of sweeping Eun Hae off her feet and going on a little vacation with her somewhere.
"There is NOTHING to be giggling about Hee Jun! I swear, you giggle more than those little sluts that follow us around at school!" Tony was at his stage where he would vent his anger out on just anybody, even his best friend.
Tony's outburst startled Hee Jun, and interrupted his lovely daydream. When Tony was just about to throw something once more to the wall, the doorbell rang throughout the mansion loud and clear.
"If that's Eun Hae, she's mine!! She's going to pay!!!" Tony then ran madly towards the door and seemed the toss the door open.
Tony met a very surprised Chil Hyun and a sleep Eun Hae at the doorsteps.
"YOU!" Tony pointed, as he lunged for Eun Hae. Luckily, Chil Hyun caught him in mid-air and stopped him from ripping Eun Hae into shreds.
"Tony!! Get a hold of yourself!! You can't go around jumping at people like that!" Chil Hyun began scolding him.
Eun Hae quietly slipped into the house, unnoticed by the two bickering guys at the door. She was just about to sneak upstairs to her room, when she met Hee Jun along the way. At first, Eun Hae was about to just pass him too, when Hee Jun abruptly stopped her.
"Eun Hae... why?" Hee Jun pleaded, his sorrowful puppy eyes looking at Eun Hae.
Eun Hae just couldn't stand looking at his sad face, and lowered her head shamefully.
"Look.. it's ok.. could we..." Hee Jun hated to say this but he decided it was the only thing to do, "Could we just be... good friends? Huh?"
Eun Hae looked up at Hee Jun. She could see in his eyes that they're was something else, but decided to ignore it right then. She nodded her head happily and beamed a bright smile.
Hee Jun couldn't believe that Eun Hae had smiled for him. He felt as if his heart had just stopped when she had shown off that radiant smile of hers. Hee Jun just giddily hugged Eun Hae and began jumping up and down right on the stairs.
"Hehehe!" Hee Jun laughed, " Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school. And I promise, if you don't want a ride, I won't give you one okay?" Hee Jun suggested.
Glad that Hee Jun wouldn't be bothering her any more, Eun Hae agreed, and smiled once more for Hee Jun. She was about to go back up to her room, when she realized that Chil Hyun and Tony were still down there fighting. Eun Hae gathered up all her courage and decided to face Tony.
Eun Hae cautiously made her way downstairs, not wanting to get Tony even more angry. Hee Jun caught on to what Eun Hae was trying to do and carefully eyed Tony, making sure that no harm would befall on Eun Hae.
Eun Hae slowly went up to Tony and tapped him on the shoulder. Tony quickly turned around and met Eun Hae, eye to eye. Eun Hae could see the anger flaring in Tony's eyes and just prayed that he wouldn't blow up and murder her. Eun Hae wanted to apologize to Tony, but just couldn't seem to say it. Hee Jun then spoke up for her.
"I think Eun Hae's trying to say that she's sorry to you, and she already apologized to me and we're both friends now, so there's no reason for you to be mad ok Tony?" Hee Jun explained in one hurried sentence, wanting to calm down Tony as quickly as he could.
Tony began pondering for a bit over something and finally, after a moment of silence, through his hands up in the air in defeat.
"Look, I'm sorry I got mad... just stay out of my way next time and don't do anything stupid ok?" Tony informed Eun Hae, who was nodding gleefully. "Look, you don't bother me and I won't bother you, agreed?"
Eun Hae just shook her head up and down, glad that this war between them was finally over.
"Now everyone! Why not go out..." Tony offered.
"FOR SOME ICE CREAM!" Hee Jun hurried and completed Tony's offer for him, and began jumping around like a kangaroo.
"Alright... it's on me!" Tony exclaimed, and the four people quickly ran out the door, and any passerby would think that they were the closest group of friends in the world.

Chapter 19
**************

"Aaahh.. yummy food for my hungry belly!" Hee Jun patted his overgrown pot belly he had gotten from eating four ice cream sundaes.
"How much food can you EAT?!" Tony asked, still amazed that Hee Jun had gobbled down the mountainous amount of sundaes at such a fast rate. "You're going to get the biggest stomachache tomorrow," Tony warned, shaking his head.
"It's ok.. it's worth it!!" Hee Jun beamed, his silly grin once again on his face.
"Hee Jun hyung!! It's not good to eat so much!" Chil Hyun whined, worried about Hee Jun, for Hee Jun isn't one of the nicest people to be around when they're sick.
"You worry to much, Chil Hyun. Don't worry, I won't vent my anger on you when I do get sick! Ahahaha.." Hee Jun assured a still doubtful Chil Hyun, as he patted his back.
Eun Hae just had a confused look on her face. She was still left in awe with how Hee Jun could've possibly ate all those sundaes at once.
'My goodness, and he's still energetic too! Strange people.. ahaha..' Eun Hae silently laughed in her head, a smile was the only evidence on the outside that led the others to wonder what was so funny.
"Eun Hae ya.. you're surely not smiling about how cute I am right?" Hee Jun jokingly asked.
"My sister is way too smart to fall for you Hee Jun!" Tony shouted back.
The others, including Eun Hae, were shocked at what Tony had just said. For the first time since Eun Hae's arrival, Tony acknowledged the fact that he actually had a sister. Tony had completely surprised her, so Eun Hae accidentally let out a small cough.
Tony, completely unaware of what he had just accomplished, just had a questioning look on his face. "What? What's up with you guys?" Tony questioned.
"Nothing, nevermind Tony. Hehehe," Hee Jun replied, laughing a bit.
Eun Hae just looked up at Tony and gave him a nice, friendly hug. Tony, at first, thought this gesture was strange, yet he welcomed it. 'I haven't gotten such a nice hug in a while... ever since.. Sung Ho...'

*~Flashback~*

"Seung Ho hyung!!!!! Let's go ice skating!!!! Come on!!" a cute little voice wailed out into the cold winter air.
"Hold your horses!! I'm coming!" an eight-year-old Seung Ho replied, as he frantically got his ice skates on.
"Ahahaha! Look at me hyung!! I can skate in circles!!! WEE~!" Sung Ho carelessly skated around in little figure 8's and circles.
"Don't go to fast! Wait for me!" Seung Ho screamed.
"Hurry hyung!! This is so fun!!! Hehe!" Sung Ho encourage Seung Ho to hurry and join him in the fun, but Seung Ho was still putting on the clumsy ice skates.
'Aahh, finally! Stupid skates!' Seung Ho thought, as he slowly got up.
"AAHH!" Seung Ho screamed, as his face landed flat in the fluffy morning snow.
Seung Ho got up, shook all the white powder of his face, and realized that he had forgotten to tie his shoes. "Eesh!"
Seung Ho glanced down at the knotted shoelaces and began to work on getting them loose, so that he could hurry up and play with his little brother.
"There we go!" Seung Ho exclaimed, with a slight lisp. Seung Ho tried standing up one more time, and since he was successful in doing so, he looked up, trying to spot where Sung Ho was.
"Sung Ho?" Seung Ho called out into the air, only to be replied with nothing but the blowing wind.
"An Sung Ho!! This isn't funny! Where are you!" Seung Ho yelled, his hands cupping over his mouth so that his voice could be carried further out.
Seung Ho clumsily got onto the frozen lake, which was known as Swan Lake to the tourists, yet known as Iceland Lake to the An children. Seung Ho lifted his hand over his eyes, looking for any trace of Sung Ho. Seung Ho began skating toward where he last saw Sung Ho skating, only to find ice everywhere.
Seung Ho was beginning to get a strange feeling in his gut. He knew Sung Ho was probably just hiding out behind some tree, trying to scare the frightened Seung Ho. But then, something lurked in the back of Seung Ho's mind, telling him that things weren't going so well.
As Seung Ho continued skating further and further out, his skate plunged into the icy waters. Luckily, he hadn't slipped. Frightened from what had just happened, Seung Ho began to skate elsewhere, still searching for any sign of Sung Ho. As Seung Ho began to depart from the area of thin ice, something made him look back.
At first, Seung Ho didn't find anything different, but then he saw a small hand trapped beneath the packed ice. Seung Ho's eyes widened in fear. His mind, pleading that the hand didn't belong to....
"SUNG HO YAH!!!" Seung Ho frantically wiped away the rest of the snow, which had begun to fall onto the slippery surface. Seung Ho bent down on his knees and began tapping furiously on the ice, trying to find someway to free Sung Ho.
Seung Ho had only seen a hand, so he cleared away the fallen snow to make sure he wasn't just imagining things. The next thing he saw almost made him faint. Pale blue lips, closed eyes, and hair swishing back and forth in the water... it was Sung Ho.
Seung Ho couldn't think straight, it was his brother down there, a sheet of ice was separating the two from touch. Seung Ho had to think fast, he had to save his brother, but nothing came to his mind. All he could do was just stare at the deadly looking face of Sung Ho. Finally, something just clicked and Seung Ho began dashing towards his home.
"UMMA!!!! APPA!!!" Seung Ho cried, tears escaping his already watery eyes, slipping onto the cold kitchen floor.
"What is it honey?" Mrs. An replied, a spatula in her hand, apparently from cooking Mr. Ahn's dinner. "Where's Sung Ho?"
Seung Ho began bawling and he couldn't seem to talk correctly. His hands began shaking from the coldness of the snow and ice.
"Seung Ho? Where's Sung Ho?" Mrs. An began worrying, it wasn't likely for Seung Ho to be crying for no reason.
Seung Ho looked up into his mother's scared eyes and quickly spat out, "SUNG HO!!" and pointed his tiny finger to the frozen lake, and once again let his tears cascade to the ground.
"OH MOH NAH!!!" Mrs. An quickly got what Seung Ho was trying to say, and reached for the phone.
After punching in those three numbers, Mrs. An quickly alerted the police of what happened, and phone in her left hand and Seung Ho in the other, began running towards the lake, despite the cold weather.
The police along with the rescue squad (that what you call them?) quickly came to the scene. Everything was a blur to Seung Ho, he wanted the rescuers to hurry and save his drowning brother, but everything seemed to go even slower. As the seconds ticked longer than the last, all Seung Ho could do was just wait patiently. Seung Ho just couldn't stand it any longer, if he had to, he would go save his brother himself. He began heading towards the lake, but his frightened mother, scared that Seung Ho too would meet the fate of Sung Ho's, held onto him tightly.
More tears escaped Seung Ho's red eyes. Sung Ho wasn't jumping out of the water and laughing, saying it was just a joke, that he was all right. Seung Ho tightly held onto his mother's quivering hand, fearing for what happened to Seung Ho.
Finally, after an eternity of waiting, a black bush of hair crept out from behind a man who seemed to be carrying something. Seung Ho wanted to race out to Sung Ho, but the people were quickly taking Sung Ho away from him once again.
The ambulance rushed to the nearest hospital, as the Ahn's limousine followed right behind. Seung Ho silently awaited in the waiting room, his mother wiped away her tears from her eyes, which began to alter her mascara. Seung Ho felt as if everything was going too slow. He had to find out what happened to Sung Ho, but the least he could do was wait.
All of a sudden, a man in a white coat rushed over to where the An's were waiting. Mrs. An quickly got up in her seat and asked the man with her eyes if Sung Ho was ok. As soon as Seung Ho saw the strange man shake his head, he knew what had happened. He clasped his hands over his ears, and ran out of the room.
This couldn't be happening to him, his brother couldn't be dying. No, he just couldn't be dead. Not Sung Ho. Sung Ho was too lively, too young, he couldn't die at the tender age of 5. Seung Ho looked around all over the hospital, trying to find the room where Sung Ho was in. No matter what he tried, his efforts didn't work. Sung Ho was finally gone, forever. Seung Ho didn't even have a chance to say good bye to his beloved brother, and now, he never will.
Seung Ho sat down on the hard floor right where he was, and began crying as if there was no tomorrow.

The next day at Sung Ho's funeral passed by way too quickly. Many people were in tears and were silently weeping for the small child who had to leave the world at such a young age.
Seung Ho walked over to where the tiny coffin was being lowered into the ground. Seung Ho laid a single rose on top, as dirt began piling higher and higher on the ivory casket. On top of that rose, Seung Ho left a small tear along with his memories with Sung Ho. Seung Ho decided from that day on, the world was so cruel to him. It couldn't have done anything worse to him than this. On that day, Seung Ho changed his name to Tony. He wouldn't allow anyone to call out his true name. He couldn't bear it, Sung Ho was the only person who would be allowed to call him Seung Ho from now on, and Seung Ho, no Tony, made sure it was kept that way, and it will always be kept that way, forever......

*~End of flashback~*

Tony's thoughts left him with a trickling tear. It began falling from his eye and arrived on Eun Hae's face.
Eun Hae felt a warm drop fall on to her face. She knew this wasn't her tear, who's was it? It couldn't be...
Tony realized he had let his soft side appear and quickly wiped away his fallen tear. He abruptly got up from his chair and headed out towards the door.
"Hyung!" Chil Hyun called out, but Tony continued walking towards his car.
Hee Jun notioned for Chil Hyun to just let him go. Hee Jun knew Tony never wanted anyone to know his vulnerable side. He knew Tony too well to know that fact for sure.
Eun Hae was confused at why Tony had left without even saying bye. Eun Hae thought she had done something wrong once again, but Hee Jun interrupted her thoughts.
"Hey, don't worry about Tony. It's not your fault, Eun Hae. He was probably thinking about," Hee Jun clamped his mouth shut, and decided to change the subject, "Eun Hae, I'll take you home ok? We better get going, it's getting late. Chil Hyun, I'll see you tomorrow all right?"
Hee Jun and Eun Hae said their farewells to Chil Hyun as the three departed from the tiny ice cream store.
"Aigo... my tummy," Hee Jun pouted, trying to lighten the mood.
Eun Hae let a smile escape, but Hee Jun knew that it wasn't a true smile. There was a hint of sadness in it.
'Tony... what's wrong? Who or what is making you so sad?' Eun Hae pondered as she stepped into Hee Jun's car.

"Bye Eun Hae!" Hee Jun waved out of car window, jokingly checking to see if Eun Hae cut off any more of his hair.
Seeing Hee Jun's gesture, Eun Hae giggled, remembering what she had done a while back, and waved back, this time, no more practical jokes up her normally 'evil' sleeve. After seeing Hee Jun leave from the stone driveway, Eun Hae made her way back to the Ahn's home.
Mrs. An was rearranging some old picture frames on the mantel of the marble fireplace, and noticed Eun Hae walking in.
"Eun Hae ya! Did you have fun? How come you didn't come with Seung-," Mrs. Ahn was just about to reveal Tony's true name, but stopped herself from doing so. "T..Tony! Why didn't you come home with Tony?" Mrs. Ahn quickly covered up.
Eun Hae was about to ignore Mrs. An's stuttered, when she noticed that Mrs. Ahn hadn't said "Tony" at first.
‘Hm.. who's this Seung person? I guess I'll have to find out myself,' Eun Hae thought, and began to proceed towards the attic. 'There's gotta be something up there. It's in the movies all the time. People go to the attic and find some kind of photo album, so there's got to be one up there some where.'
As Eun Hae climbed up the set of steps, she noticed Tony's door was slightly left open. Feeling risky, Eun Hae decided to check up on what he was doing. She ignored Hee Jun's previous warning of leaving Tony alone to wallow (is that a word? o.O?) in his sorrows, but she had to find out what was so terrible that led him to show his weak side.
At first, Eun Hae was just going to peek in through the crack, but since she couldn't see Tony anywhere, she decided to open the door just a tiny bit more. For some reason the door didn't seem to obey Eun Hae's order, it wasn't moving at all. Eun Hae tried adding more force upon the wooden the door, but her efforts were useless.
Eun Hae then directed all her strength into her shoulder and all of a sudden the door flew wide open! Something metal flew threw the air and crashed into one of the chandelier's lights. After a few sparks of bright blue, the room completely went into darkness.
"AHH! What the f*ck was that!"
En Hae could recognize that voice from anywhere. Fearing that Tony would go back to his angry ways, Eun Hae just slipped out of the room unnoticed.
‘So much for checking up on him,' Eun Hae concluded and continued making her way up towards the attic.
‘Hm.. now where in the world is that darn attic? I remember Tony never showing it to me before,' Eun Hae remembered, and began to search in practically every single room.
Before the final flight of steps, Eun Hae noticed a very worn out looking door. It was right on the side of the stairway. The paint was slowly peeling from the edges and the doorknob was beginning to look like a shade of rusty green. This strange door caught Eun Hae's attention quickly, more than the attic right above, for all the others doors in this mansion were carved elegantly and preserved quite well. Eun Hae remembered that this mansion was a very old estate, yet she never imagined it to be this old.
Eun Hae reached for the deteriorating knob and twisted it to the right cautiously, fearing that it would break off any instant. After a few loud creaks of the door opening, Eun Hae successfully had opened the battered door.
Massive amounts of cobwebs were strewn all over the entrance. Eun Hae had to bat some away with the back of her hand, which wasn't a very pleasant thing to do, for a spider could be lurking about in the corner, ready to lunge at Eun Hae. Eun Hae peered down into the dark corridor, and saw that she had to climb down a few steps.
Eun Hae searched for a lightswitch along the wooden planks that served as the wall, but to no avail, her hand couldn't seem to find any.
‘I guess I'll have to go through the dark in this place. Creepy, I wonder why no one ever told me of this place. But then again no one told me about the attic either so-' Eun Hae's thoughts were shattered completely, for Eun Hae had a run in with something.
‘It’s a door you babo. Ugh, can't see a thing in this place,' Eun Hae thought. She reached around in the darkness for a doorknob, but not finding anything, she began searching even harder.
‘There’s no doorknob?? what kind of door doesn’t have a door-?' Eun Hae heard something heavy break and collapse onto the floor. The metal fell unto the hard wooden floor and landing with a heavy 'thud'.
‘There goes the doorknob. Now what?' Eun Hae decided to just heave open the door.
Eun Hae felt around in the dark, as blind as a bat, for something to light up her way.
"OW!" Eun Hae rubbed her head after hitting a sharp metal object.
‘It’s a light! Woohoo!' Eun Hae pulled down on the metal chain, and then, the dim light thankfully lighted up the dark place somewhat.
Eun Hae looked around the room and realized that this place must have been some sort of play room. There were mountains of toys piled up in the corner. An old wooden dresser stood alone in the corner. After stepping over a few scattered objects, Eun Hae opened the drawers one by one. All she found were piles of neatly folded clothes, which seemed to belong to a little boy.
‘Hm.. why are Tony's clothes down here?' Eun Hae wondered, and began searching around to answer her question.
Finding nothing interesting, Eun Hae decided this place wasn't worth her time. She began heading back to the attic when something caught her eye. It was a heavy, leather-bound book that was propped up on top of a large chest. The faded gold lettering spelled out "Family", so Eun Hae quickly dashed over to it.
After scooting all the dust away, Eun Hae sat on top of the chest, with the book in her hands. If she hadn't known any better, Eun Hae would've thought this book dated back towards the Renaissance Era, for the cover was held onto the rest of the book by one thin piece if string.
Eun Hae slowly opened the book and began to look through it. In the beginning, she saw some very old pictures of Mr. and Mrs. An and a few other relatives whom she had never met before. Continuing through the heavy album, Eun Hae noticed that the other half of the album was dedicated to a 'Seung Ho' and a 'Sung Ho'.
‘Hm.. sounds awfully a lot like what Mrs. An was about to spit out,' Eun Hae contemplated.
In the first picture, there were two little boys playing happily along side of a lake. There cheerful and bright smiles made Eun Hae smile. The boys seemed content and joyful, but as Eun Hae was about to continue looking through the book, she noticed a sense of familiarity in the boy with the rather large ears.
‘Tony?? Is this Tony?' Eun Hae wondered.
Off in the distance, Eun Hae heard the grandfather clock chiming away the hours. Ten chimes rang clear through the whole house. Eun Hae quickly closed the book, thus creating a thick could of heavy dust hanging in the air. Before putting the album back in its regular position, Eun Hae pulled out the picture of Tony and the other little boy and stuffed it into her pocket.
‘Tony has some explaining to do,' Eun Hae thought before rushing out of the hidden room.

Chapter 21
**************

Tony was staring up at the white ceiling high over his head. He was laying down on his bed, his hands placed neatly on his stomach, and his mind was pouring with so many thoughts.
‘My head hurts. How the hell did that freaking door stopper fall off?' Tony complained, rubbing the new bump his head now possessed.

There was a light tapping at the door. It beated really slowly at first. Tony just listened to the knocking, still laying on his bed. The rhythmic tone soothed him for an odd reason, so he stayed there on his bed, waiting.
The knocking came more furiously and finally, Tony heard the click of the doorknob . The light coming from the door hurt his eyes that had gotten aquainted with the darkness. Tony squinted to see who was at the door, and all he could do was make out a small figure.
The dark figure began walking closer to where Tony was as still as a rock. Finally, the figure stopped right beside his bed, and a thin piece of paper-like material came floating down onto the hands.
Tony got up and reached over for his lamp. After the light came pertruding out, Tony noticed that this wasn't a regular piece of paper. His fingers slowly flipped it around and he saw that it was a picture, one taken a very long time ago.

"Where did you find this?" Tony coldly asked.
He turned around and saw that the person his was questioning was none other than Eun Hae.
"Where did you find this?" Tony repeated, more sternly this time.
Eun Hae just looked at Tony, piercing her eyes into his. No words had to be spoken, for Tony already knew the answers which she were seeking. But the fact that his questions weren't being answered made him angry.
"Do you even know who these people are?" Tony raised his voice, his eyes brimming with tears once more.
Eun Hae nodded her head, but then decided to shake it furiously. Her finger pointed over to a little boy who looked similar to Tony. Then her fingers turned the photo over to its back, and were placed over two names written in blue ink.
Memories flashed back into Tony's mind. His eyes couldn't agree with what his mind was trying to tell him.
"No... No.... NO!" Tony screamed, his hands grabbing tufts of his hair, trying to pull them out.
Eun Hae was frightened at Tony's sudden actions. He seemed to have gone mad.
‘How can one little picture do this to him?' Eun Hae wondered.
From out of nowhere, Tony began sobbing like a lost child. He began stuttering and his lips were shaking unsteadily. He began to hiccup and tears were rolling down his cheeks.
Eun Hae couldn't think of anything to do. This form of Tony reminded Eun Hae of herself. Back when she still lived with her horrible mother. Eun Hae quickly blocked those past memories of hers, and leaned over to comfort Tony. No words could ease his pain right now, Eun Hae was sure of it. All she could do was give Tony a shoulder to cry and a friend to talk to.
"He... no.. I.. NO!" Tony screamed onto Eun Hae's shoulder.
Eun Hae had never seen Tony so pained before, and it scared her. Even someone as brave as Tony had been hurt by the cruelties of this world. Eun Hae looked into Tony's watery eyes and urged him to let all his pain out.
"If... only I watched him! If only I..." Tony began his crying rampage once more, his voice muffled by Eun Hae's wet shoulder.
"It’s ok.. let it out."
Tony lifted his head and stared into those large eyes of hers. Eun Hae had finally spoken to him. For the first time, she had said something to him. Tony just clung onto her even tightly, fearing that she would let go of him and disappear from his grasps like Sung Ho did.
Eun Hae gently patted the sobbing Tony, who was curled up into a tight ball and gripping onto her sleeves.
"He...he's gone! And it's all my fault! I.. I should've done something! Anything! But.. I couldn't.. I just couldn't!" Tony mumbled to Eun Hae who was attentively listening.
"If only... if... Sung Ho's never going to come back! Never! And it's because of me!" Tony cried tears of agony which soaked Eun Hae's shoulder.
"Sung Ho?" Eun Hae faintly whispered, her voice hoarse from never being used in a such a long time.
"He... he was the light in my life. He was my brother. My only brother. He had such a long life to live, but it was taken away from him. It's all my fault," Tony tried explaining as well as he could, but the memories were preventing him in doing so. Everytime Tony said his name, Sung Ho's pale face looked at him in his mind.
"Never blame... yourself. Nothing.. is your fault," Eun Hae told Tony, telling herself at the same time.
"But... he won't ever come back," Tony wailed like a little boy who's dog ran away.
"It's ok Tony. Maybe he.. went away for a reason. Maybe he.. wanted you to.. enjoy life without him. Tony, I don’t think he would've wanted you to bottle up your sorrows like this. Don't do this to yourself. I don't anyone wants to see you like this," Eun Hae explained.
Tony quietly let all of Eun Hae's words settle in heart. From now on, he promised he won't mourn for Sung Ho anymore. Like Eun Hae said, he's going to enjoy life without him.
All that sorrow and pain wore out Tony, for he quickly fell asleep. Eun Hae gently laid Tony's head onto a pillow and pulled the blanket over his head. After smiling a sad smile, Eun Hae crept out of the room.
When Eun Hae heard the door click, she slowly trudged back to her own room. Before she reached her bed, she slowly fell down to the ground and let her silent tears slip away into the darkness of the night.

Chapter 22
**************

The sound of birds sweetly chirping aroused Eun Hae from her bed. She must've fell asleep right after comforting Tony, for she hadn't even got onto the bed before sleeping.
Heading down towards the kitchen, Eun Hae pulled out some cereal from the cupboard and sat down at the table herself, enjoying her breakfast.
"You're how old and you still eat Lucky Charms?" a groggy Tony exclaimed.
Eun Hae just playfully stuck out her tongue and continued eating her meal.
"Oh, and about yesterday night. You really helped me out. I don't know how I can begin to thank you," Tony gratefully applied, sitting down at the table after giving Eun Hae a good morning hug.
Eun Hae replied by smiling back, which to Tony, was better than any regular "You're welcome."

Ding Dong
The doorbell rang loud and clear throughout the house. Quickly gulping his breakfast, Tony made his way towards the door, to be greeted by a cheerful Hee Jun.
"Hey Tony! Is.. uh.. Eun Hae there?" Hee Jun asked.
Tony just cocked his eyebrow upward but decided to leave the cheerful Hee Jun alone.
"Eun Hae!! Hee Jun's here to see you!" Tony yelled to the kitchen.
Eun Hae galloped towards the door and arrived with her hair all over the place.
"Hey!! I was wondering if you're free today! Do you think we could go to.. uh.. Lotte World? Please, please, please?" Hee Jun begged, getting down onto his knees.
Eun Hae couldn't resist Hee Jun's puppy eyes, so she happily agreed to go with him.
"Woohoo!! Let's go! Bye Tony!" the two waved.
"Yah! You're not even taking your own best friend?" Tony pretended to get angry.
"Next time Tony, next time," Hee Jun replied.
"Ahaha all right. Have fun! Drive safely! Remember, seatbelts!" Tony proclaimed.
"Uh huh, you sound like my mom for crying out loud!" Hee Jun whined back.
"Yah! Nuh-" Tony's protests were blocked by Hee Jun slamming his car door shut.

Screams could be heard for miles all around. Eun Hae had never been to such a crowded place in her life. Left and right, all that could be seen were food stands and people having a wonderful time. Hee Jun and her rode on almost every single ride at Lotte World, and Eun Hae seemed to enjoy it.
Eun Hae was standing in line getting ready to go to on a scary-looking thrill ride. The line stretched so long and the scorching sun was clashing down upon her. Hee Jun offered to get some shakes for them so Eun Hae was left alone to wait by herself.
"Hmm... two strawberry shakes please," Hee Jun ordered, and with two shakes his hands, Hee Jun headed on over to the lengthy line.
Hee Jun looked around for a sign of Eun Hae but she was no where to be found. Thinking that she might of gone off somewhere, Hee Jun began searching all over the place. Finally, Hee Jun spotted Eun Hae behind a door, one with a little glass window. Since the line was so long, people had to stand in front of some other thrill ride. Wanting to play a practical joke, Hee Jun decided to creep up behind the door and scare the living daylights out of the unsuspecting Eun Hae.
Hee Jun grinned widely and tiptoed near the door. Right when he was only a few inches away from Eun Hae, Hee Jun popped up from his crouching position, and loudly banged onto the small window. But instead of blocking his hand, Hee Jun's hand seemed to go right through the glass, making it shatter into pieces.
Eun Hae had no idea where Hee Jun was, and began impatiently waiting for him. All of a sudden, Eun Hae heard a loud bang very near her and tiny pieces of what seems to be glass comes flying towards her. Letting out a tiny scream, Eun Hae scoots away from the door so the glass wouldn't hurt her.
Wondering what had caused the window on the door to break, Eun Hae looks behind it, only to find a whimpering Hee Jun holding out his hand. Eun Hae brings her hand to her mouth and rushes over to inspect his hand.
Eun Hae examined it, only to find that Hee Jun's hand only has a few cuts. Nothing serious. Hee Jun just lowers his head in shame and apologizes to the still surprised Eun Hae.
After seeing Hee Jun in such a position, Eun Hae breaks into a feud of laughter and ruffles Hee Jun's wild hair.
"Hey, there's nothing funny about me trying to apologize!" Hee Jun pretended to pout, but only ended up laughing himself.
The two ended up not riding the ride at all and headed on towards the indoors Lotte Mall. After stopping by a Lotteria, Hee Jun’s growling stomach reminded him that he hadn’t had breakfast yet. He convince Eun Hae to stop by for a quick bite, so after ordering, the two sat at small table near the mall.

"Ooo! Ice cream!" Hee Jun hungrily eyed the sundae Eun Hae was enjoying herself.

Eun Hae knew that Hee Jun would try all atempts to have the ice cream himself, so she quickly began gobbling it up.

Hee Jun watched her eat all the ice cream to herself and pretended to cry. Eun Hae felt her evil self coming out and decided to tease Hee Jun a bit. She scooped up the last bit of ice cream on the spoon and began waving it in the air, inching the treat closer and closer to Hee Jun. Hee Jun couldn’t stand the torture of seeing the ice cream with no one to eat it, so he quickly scooted his seat and tried to bite the ice cream from the spoon.

Eun Hae was surprised by his sudden actions, so she accidentally had smothered the ice cream on Hee Jun’s nose. Hee Jun quickly reached for a napkin while Eun Hae sat there laughing at him.

"Eun Hae!! It’s go-wing up my wose!" Hee Jun wailed, which made Eun Hae crack up even more.

In the end, Eun Hae ended up wiping away the ice cream at Hee Jun’s request, and then Hee Jun happily finished his rather large meal. This day was truly a day to be remembered by both Eun Hae and Hee Jun alike.

Eun Hae and Hee Jun just lingered around the large mall. Buying tiny accessories, dolls, and any other thing Eun Hae began squealing about. After shopping for a bit and eating a filling dinner, Eun Hae began showing signs of fatigue. Without hesitating, Hee Jun offered her a ride home like a true gentleman, and Eun Hae agreed.
The car ride back wasn't as exciting, mainly for Eun Hae was fast asleep on the passenger's seat. Hee Jun kept looking over to the side and noticed how angelic Eun Hae looked asleep.
'Why can't you see what I feel for you?' Hee Jun thought and continued to look out onto the rode.

After arriving to the An's residence, Tony and Hee Jun both brought Eun Hae upstairs to her bedroom.
"Man, she's one heavy girl," Tony joked around.
Tony greeted Hee Jun out of the door and he himself went up to his own room. Before going right up to his room, Tony decided to check up Eun Hae like she did herself. He saw that she was shivering a bit so he pulled her blanket up to her neck.
"Goodnight," Tony whispered into her ear, and left, closing the door shut behind him.

As soon as Tony closed the door, Eun Hae opened her eyes. Smiling about that day she had spent with Hee Jun at Lotte World, and closed her eyes once more and whispered a soft "Goodnight" back to Tony.

Chapter 23
**************

Eun Hae's hands floated along with the small currents of the waves Swan Lake was stirring. She felt so free coming down here, as if she was floating on a cloud, carried on by the wind.
"What are you doing?"
The voice startled Eun Hae, causing her to splash a bit before settling down. Chil Hyun was sitting there, his bare feet dangling in the cold waters, as tiny tadpoles entertwined between his toes.
Eun Hae, embarrassed at her actions, slowly swam over to the bank and sat down beside Chil Hyun.
Drops of water fell from Eun Hae's hair and landed down onto Chil Hyun's hand. Chil Hyun stared at the droplets as they made their way down to Chil Hyun's fingers.
"Eun Hae... how long did you stay at that orphanage?" Chil Hyun asked.
Eun Hae didn't know if she was to trust Chil Hyun yet, her and Hee Jun had a closer friendship and she and Chil Hyun did, yet she still hadn't spoken to Hee Jun yet. But what was this feeling she was sensed whenever she was around Chil Hyun? His brown eyes mesmerized her, and something kept nagging her in the back of her mind, telling her that she had seen those exact same pairs of eyes, sometime long ago. A time which she couldn't remember.
"Eun Hae," Chil Hyun said, seeing that Eun Hae wasn't answering his previous question.
"Why did you go to the orphanage? Do you remember?" Chil Hyun stared into Eun Hae's piercing eyes, looking for some way to make her speak to him. Yet, he couldn't find anything, anything at all.
Eun Hae's faced turned into a crimson tone and she quickly lowered her head, dropping her intense gaze with Chil Hyun.
"Eun Hae, do you still remember, your mother?" Chil Hyun approached this question as slowly as he could, not wanted to cause Eun Hae to remember those painful memories once again.
Eun Hae completely blown away on how Chil Hyun could know anything about her mother, just stared back at him with a confused expression drawn on her face. Still looking into his eyes, Eun Hae slowly nodded her head. She could feel the tears lurking under her eyes, ready to come pouring out any moment. The memories of her mother were too painful, too painful for anyone to understand. She was thankful that her hair was always dripping wet with water. Maybe Chil Hyun wouldn't see Eun Hae's tears slowly falling.
"Eun Hae, do you remember me at all?" Chil Hyun's voice was almost choking in fear that she wouldn't have any clue of who he was.
Her eyes, her innocent eyes, quickly formed tears. Eun Hae still didn't remember anything about Chil Hyun. She had only met him here, at this exact lake. That was as far as her memory of Chil Hyun would allow her.
"You see, there was this little boy. He lived in a pretty run down neighborhood. His family could hardly give him enough to eat. His sister had already died from malnutrition, and his baby brother was looking as if he would his sister very soon up there in heaven," Chil Hyun explained, his eyes too were turning slight red, as his past life came rushing right before him.
"This little boy, had no friend. Everyone considered him too dirty and poor to play with. One day, the boy noticed the cries of a little girl. To him, it seemed as if a tiny angel was crying out for him. Curious, the boy headed over to where he heard the cries. It came from the house next door. As he looked through the window, he saw a tiny girl, shivering from fear, he later learned, in the corner. Then, he heard apparently her mother coming in. The boy quickly hid behind a large rock, for the women had scared him. Soon enough, he could hear screams from the tiny girl. The boy felt as if the girl was screaming for him to help her. But he possibly couldn't, there was no way," Chil Hyun stopped for a second. He closed his eyes, the past sinking into him. He could still remember Eun Hae, sitting there in the corner, her bony knees brought up to her face. After wiping a fallen tear, Chil Hyun continued his story.
"Everyday, the boy could hear the girl scream for mercy. One night he just couldn't bear it anymore. He told his parents, and they alerted the police. Later on, the police came and took the girl away. Her mother had killed herself, so the girl was left in an orphanage. The boy found out which orphanage the girl was staying in, and everyday the little boy will look out of the windowsill, looking for the tiny girl. And every single night, he watched the girl fall asleep, and he would lay tiny forget-me-nots on the sill," Chil Hyun ended his story there and he turned to see what Eun Hae was thinking.
To Eun Hae the story sounded so familiar, the little girl was the exact replica of herself when she was little. If she was the little girl, and the forget-me-nots which she had been collecting every since the days back in the orphanage were still there in her room, then the little boy in the story must have been..
"I know what you're thinking, Eun Hae. Who was the little boy and girl? You probably already know who the girl is. The boy you say? He was me. The little boy who looked out for you and laid forget-me-nots on the windowsill," Chil Hyun answered her dying questions.
Eun Hae just shockingly looked up at Chil Hyun's face. She couldn't believe that he had been her savior. He had saved her from being locked up in that cellar. Tears of sadness mixed with joy fell down silently.
Chil Hyun lifted his hands to wipe them away. "Eun Hae.. did you know that the little boy had loved that little girl ever since he heard those angelic cries?" Chil Hyun questioned, his eyes gazing out at the horizon.
Eun Hae just looked at Chil Hyun's face. So that's where she had remembered him. Those eyes that were always looking over her. Eun Hae's sweet smile appeared on her face and she rested her head against his shoulder.
Chil Hyun looked down at Eun Hae's tiny figure, and whispered into her ear, "And the little boy still loves that little girl till this very day. The End."
Eun Hae just closed her eyes and dreamed of a far off dreamland. She finally learned that there are truly caring people in this world. Without knowing it, Eun Hae had slowly slipped into a deep sleep.

(Author's note: extremely horrible at romantic scenes :P)

It was getting closer to evening. Chil Hyun quickly aroused Eun Hae and helped her get up. After dusting off her pants, Eun Hae smiled a good bye to Chil Hyun and slowly began walking back toward her home. Without even knowing it, Chil Hyun's lips had met with hers.
The sweet kiss tasted so right on their lips, Eun Hae felt as if she had gotten wings and she was floating towards heaven. What was this new sensation Eun Hae was feeling when Chil Hyun laid his lips on hers? What was this she was feeling?
Chil Hyun longed for Eun Hae's lips even more, he felt as if this was a perfect dream. His hands gently held onto Eun Hae's waist, and Eun Hae stood up on her tiptoes, trying to reach Chil Hyun's lips even more. Her arms draped over his neck as a light wind began swirling around the couple, bringing them to snuggle closer together even more.
As the sun settled into the night time sky, the two stayed there, both being held in each other's arms, sharing the love that they had always dreamed of.

High above, Hee Jun was gazing at Eun Hae and Chil Hyun down below. He felt tears slowly surfacing and he hastily wiped them away.
"Eun Hae.. I guess you found your love now. Even though it hurts me inside to see you give a kiss to someone else, in order for you to be happy, I guess.. I have to let you go now. I hope you found the light in your life now. Please be happy for me, Eun Hae, your happiness will always be my happiness," Hee Jun whispered into the cold November night, as his sorrowful tears sparkled down his cheeks.

Chapter 24

**************

Thunder bellowed throughout the heavens and lightning flashed across the sky. Eun Hae was propped up against the headrest of her bed, her eyes wide awake in fear. She cuddled one of her dolls in her hand and had the blanket up to her chin. Everytime lightning stroke or the thunder boomed, Eun Hae would tightly shut her eyes, wishing the storm would hurry up and past.
It was mid-December now, yet there were still lightning and thunder storms. Eun Hae couldn't stand the fear anymore and quickly threw the blanket to the ground. With her doll still in her hand, Eun Hae walked down the hall to Tony's room. Thunder echoed in the distant and once again, lightning came crashing down. Eun Hae clutched her doll tightly and grasped the wall to help keep her balance. Tony's room seemed further and further away and Eun Hae felt as if there was no way to reach it.
Eun Hae tried thinking of happy thoughts but none would come to her mind. Eun Hae decided to think about Chil Hyun, they had been together ever since that evening on the shores of Swan Lake. Remembering the details of her first kiss helped calm Eun Hae down. But the storm stirred up again once more and Eun Hae dashed across the carpeted floor to Tony's room.
Eun Hae knocked on the door three times, but no answer came. Eun Hae tried again, this time, tapping a bit louder. Tony wasn't coming to the door, and Eun Hae looked out of the grand window and saw that the raging was blowing the bare trees so that they looked as if they would snap right into two in any matter of seconds.
Eun Hae hastily reached for the doorknob when her foot stepped onto something warm. Eun Hae stepped back a bit and noticed there was a dark substance on the floor. Her curiosity had gotten the best of her and Eun Hae kneeled down to see what she could make of whatever she had just stepped in. Eun Hae dabbed her finger into the stain on the carpet and squinted her eyes, trying to make out what this was.
Lightning stroke once more, but this time, to Eun Hae's advantage, it clearly lit up the place, making Eun Hae able to make out what was on her finger. The moment she saw a tint of red Eun Hae quickly knew what it was.
'What the? Tony?' Eun Hae wiped her finger on the carpet and made her way into Tony's room.
Once she was in, her eyes darted around for Tony. There was a light coming from the bathroom door. Eun Hae crept closer to the yellowish light and turned the doorknob, only to find that it was locked.

'Oh sh*t!" Tony thought, as he frantically reached a towel to wipe off the excess blood dripping from his forehead.
Tony heard someone trying to open the door and quickly tried to wipe his cuts clean. He couldn't get caught now, he had never been caught for a year. Why now? Tony quickly devised a lie but couldn't think of any.
'I got bushwhacked? No, not good enough. Think! THINK!' the harder Tony tried thinking, the more useless it became for no thoughts, except for the thoughts of being caught in the act, were coming through.
The twitching of the knob had stopped and Tony breathed a sigh of relief.
'Mental note: Lock all doors and turn off the lights next time,' Tony reminded himself.

Eun Hae was quite frustrated at why Tony or whoever was in his bathroom wasn't opening the door.
'Ahh, it was probably just a nosebleed. No need to get scared,' Eun Hae told herself.
Eun Hae was about to leave when she remembered why she came to Tony's room in the first place.
'You can't go back to your room! You practically peed in your pants because you were so scared of that stupid storm! Whoever heard of storms in mid-December?' Eun Hae proclaimed.
Eun Hae decided to check up on the conditions on the storm so approached a near by window. After a quick peek from behind the curtain, Eun Hae saw that the storm had finally settled down and that there was only a slight drizzle of what seemed to be sleet.
Glad that the terrifying storm was finally over, Eun Hae headed back to her room. As she slowly creeped into her head, something in the back of her mind kept telling her to be suspicious of Tony. Eun Hae ended up giving that thought a shrug and went back to sleep.

Elsewhere, in an old abandoned warehouse factory, a group of men were discussing some plans of theirs.
"That b*stard!" Eun Ji Won yelled, pounding onto the shaky table with clenched fists.
"How dare he!! F*CK!" Ji Won continued his tantrums as the other men around him tried to calm him down.
"Boss, calm down. All this anger isn't good for your health," a man in black stated.
"Don't tell me what's good or not for me, Kang Sung Hoon!" Ji Won shouted back, as the man named Sung Hoon, stepped back in fear.
"Look, we'll get him next time," another man stepped out from behind the shadows.
"And HOW do we supposed to do that?" Ji Won frustratingly asked.
"Easy, it's all up here, sir," Ji Yong tapped his right temple.
"So, what does the intelligent Go Ji Yong have planned for this idiot's demise?" Ji Won questioned, as he laid back into his leathered chair, his hands propped up onto his stomach.
"Why not the old ransom trick, eh?" Ji Yong suggested.
"WHAT would this low-life son of a b*tch have that's so valuable to him?" Ji Won screamed, about to get into one of his tantrums.
"Look, boss, we found out that he has a sister. From what we've seen, he seems to adore her very much. She will be bait, and soon Tony An will be right in your palm," Jae Jin informed, his smile turning into a smirk.
"Good thinking, good thinking. Well, go get the girl and for now, leave me alone!" Ji Won commanded, as he waved his hand in the air, signaling the men to depart from him.
"Ahaha, Tony, just wait, you'll seen be working under me!" Ji Won began with a slight chuckle, but soon, that chuckle transformed into a cruel like that would've scared the devil itself.

Chapter 25

"Look, I can be just as good as him," Chil Hyun began prancing around in front of the little toy shop, showing off his butt-wiggle to Eun Hae, trying to imitate the dancing Santa Claus displayed in the store window.
Eun Hae clutched on to her side and tried to contain her laughter, but it was no use. Chil Hyun pretended to look shocked and hurt from Eun Hae's laughter, but just asked," So who do you think is better? Me or Santa?"
Eun Hae pointed towards the dancing doll in the window and began laughing once again.
"Fine fine, I see how it is," Chil Hyun sighed as his lips formed into a pout. "But I still love you anyway."
Chil Hyun landed a quick peck on Eun Hae's rosy cheek which caused her to blush furiously, for an old couple walked by and pointed out how cute they were. Eun Hae lightly pushed Chil Hyun away for embarrassing them in front of the couple, and Chil Hyun pretended to cry. When Eun Hae wasn't trying to comfort him at all, but looking in the other direction instead, Chil Hyun began crying even louder. Eun Hae looked to her right and saw that some people were beginning to stare at Chil Hyun's childish act, so she quickly kissed Chil Hyun back on the cheek, which successfully shut him up.
Chil Hyun smiled the best he could when Eun Hae did that, and quickly hugged her, pulling her closer to his body. He felt as if Eun Hae fit just right into the empty space he had in heart all this time. Eun Hae just snuggled into Chil Hyun with a look of content on her face.
Eun Hae spent the whole with Chil Hyun window-shopping, pigging out on hot meals, and just enjoying his presence. Everytime Chil Hyun would look into her eyes, Eun Hae felt her knees get weak and thought that she would melt right there staring into those warm eyes of his. Eun Hae couldn't believe that she had actually learned to love once more and open up her heart to people. Chil Hyun, Tony, and Hee Jun had been able to show her what true happiness was and Eun Hae would forever be grateful for that.

As night enclosed on the two, Eun Hae and Chil Hyun were cuddling together on a wooden bench in the middle of the park, staring up into the jet-black sky.
"Look, doesn't that look like a rabbit?" Chil Hyun pointed to a collection of stars in the dark sky above.
Eun Hae just raised her eyebrow, wondering how in the world Chil Hyun saw that as a rabbit. Chil Hyun just laughed at her reaction and continued pointing out other objects he spotted in the stars. Eun Hae happily listened to him and she sat there, right next to him, listening to his beautiful voice. She couldn't help but smiling at this tingling feeling she was always having inside whenever she was with Chil Hyun.
Chil Hyun droned on and on about whatever came to his head. He was happy that Eun Hae was always so good at listening, but sometimes, it pained him that she would never actually speak to him. He had been waiting ever since he had seen her as a little boy to hear her say those three words to him. The three words that he would be able to say at any moment in time, for those words really did come from his heart. Everytime Chil Hyun saw her, he would wait every single second for her to shout those three special words to him, but those words hadn't been said yet. Chil Hyun knew he had to wait for them patiently, for if Eun Hae felt that she was forced to say them, then it wasn't truly from her heart.
Chil Hyun let out a heavy sigh and he could see his voice freeze in the winter air. He looked to his side and saw that Eun Hae was dozing off into a deep sleep. He chuckled at the sight of her fighting to stay awake.
"Eun Hae, it's dark. I'll walk you home all right?" Chil Hyun shook Eun Hae gently awake, and Eun Hae obediently followed.

Chil Hyun struggled to keep Eun Hae walking, for she kept on dozing in and out of 5-second naps. Chil Hyun squatted down and offered Eun Hae a piggyback ride until they came to a taxi. Eun Hae loosely hung her arms around Chil Hyun's neck, as they went up to a corner.
Chil Hyun impatiently waited for a taxi to come, Eun Hae wasn't the lightest person in the world. But nonetheless, he waited.

In the shadows, a man dressed in black silently waited. He eyed the two people standing on the corner of the street.
'Fools, thinking they can walk around at this hour,' the man chuckled in his mind as he quickly devised a way to carry out what he came to do.
He cleverly hid in the shadows as he made his way closer to the unsuspecting Chil Hyun and Eun Hae. Jae Duc seemed to expertly blend in with the darkness, so much, that the naked eye probably wouldn't have been able to notice him.

Chil Hyun began tapping his foot. There seemed to be no taxis at this rider. He decided to wait just five more minutes and if none came, he would walk.
Chil Hyun was just staring out into the darkness when he felt Eun Hae being pried off of his back. Chil Hyun thought Eun Hae had fallen and quickly turned around to pick her up. As soon as he did, the only thing his face met with was a solid, heavy fist.
Chil Hyun skidded a few inches along the concrete ground and when he tried to lift himself up to see what had just happened, he felt a sharp pain in his stomach that almost knocked him out. Chil Hyun doubled over from pain in his stomach, but nonetheless, he looked up to see the eyes of two people, not just Eun Hae.
Chil Hyun looked at Eun Hae, her eyed were not the eyes he had been used to seeing, they were dark pools of pure fear and terror. Chil Hyun wanted to help her, but the pain held him back.
"Tell your friend Tony that if he wants to see his pretty sister alive, to come to Crypter's Alley as soon as possible. An old time friend wants to meet him. Mwahahaha!" Jae Duc cruelly cackled as he dragged Eun Hae further away from Chil Hyun.
"Eun Hae.. hold on.. I'm coming," Chil Hyun spoke, but no one was around to hear his cries.

Chapter 26

**************

Hee Jun whistled the tune of "Jingle Bells" through the cold night. His breath clung onto the icy air and created a little cloud of moisture. Hee Jun was in one of his happy moods, he had just spent the whole day shopping for early Christmas presents. He couldn’t decide if he should get Eun Hae the white, blue, or the chubby gray Totorro doll. (To those who don’t know what Totorro is, it’s this cute little cartoon. You can see a Totorro doll on the H.O.T. Live Concert where Hee Jun shows around his girlie room.) So he ended up getting all three after a long period of 3 hours.

"Hope Eun Hae likes this," Hee Jun hoped and continued to merrily walk along in the dark night.

Hee Jun noticed in the distance that there was a figure lying down in a nearby alley. Thinking it was just a poor bum on the crowded streets, Hee Jun felt his emotional side coming out. Trying to avoid the sadness, Hee Jun decided to just quickly pass the person.

When he did approach the figure, he felt a feeling of familiarity around the person. He noticed the hair style was a bit familiar and he swore that he had seen that same exact jacket somewhere before. Hee Jun crept near the stranger a bit closer and finally realized who it was.

"CHIL HYUN!" Hee Jun ran over to Chil Hyun’s side and flipped him over so that his face was revealed.

Hee Jun helped Chil Hyun sit up and when the moonlight shone across his face, Hee Jun then saw the bruises and cuts.

"What happened to you!" Hee Jun frantically questioned the still groggy Chil Hyun.

"Eun... Hae, they have her," Chil Hyun slowly replied, his breathing was uneven and began to slow down.

"What? Who’s ‘they’?" Hee Jun urged Chil Hyun to continue his confusing riddles.

"I.. don’t know. Wants... Tony," Chil Hyun began coughing painfully, each cough took extra effort for him to force out.

"Chil Hyun, we need to get you somewhere! Look at you! And what does Tony have to do with all this? Where the hell is Eun Hae?!" Hee Jun bombarded Chil Hyun with questions which both of them knew couldn’t be answered.

"Hyung.. Tony," Chil Hyun whispered in an inaudible voice which Hee Jun had to lean forward to hear.

"Quick, we have to move fast, who knows what’s happening to Eun Hae right now," Hee Jun decided, worried about the circumstances that were occurring.

"When is he coming?" Ji Won bellowed out to particularly no one in the spacious alley, as he began pacing back and forth in front of a frightened Eun Hae.

"Do you even have the RIGHT girl?" Ji Won questioned, getting angry that Tony wasn’t showing up.

"Jae Duc! What if you killed that boy with her! How the f*ck is he supposed to tell Tony our message??" Ji Won approached a stiff Jae Duc and attempted to lift him off of the ground.

"Now, are you truly Tony’s sister?" Ji Won questioned the terrified Eun Hae who was cowering in the corner of the alley.

Eun Hae just stared blankly into the intimidating face above hers. She couldn’t let Tony put himself in danger for her. She refused to answer any of Ji Won’s questions, in fear that she would lose yet another loved one if she gave out the wrong information at the wrong time.

"Answer me now!" Ji Won screamed at the still stiff Eun Hae.

"Are you deaf or something? Can you not hear me?" Ji Won felt his pulse rate increase and his temper rise at this uncooperative girl sitting before him.

"You disgust me," Ji Won spat a wad of spit at Eun Hae’s face but Eun Hae didn’t even flinch, which caused Ji Won to be even more outraged than his current position.

Eun Hae just slowly wiped away the saliva with her sleeve and sat there, as if nothing had just happened. Ji Won was on the verge of ripping the hair off of his head. No one had ever acted this calm in front of him before and that angered him. He was supposed to be a symbol of pure terror to the greatest gangs in all of South Korea, yet right in front of him is this tiny girl who dares to just sit there and mock him.

Ji Won decided to ignore the girl’s intimidating actions and decided to patiently wait for his greatest enemy to appear in front of him. Ji Won grinned at the sweet smell of revenge and his hands grasped the air into a tight fist.

Chapter 27

**************

"Chil Hyun! What the f*ck happened?!" Tony screamed with all his might. "And where is Eun Hae?!"

"First of all, calm down! Your rants aren’t helping. Now let him speak for Pete’s sake," Hee Jun shutted Tony up for the next few minutes.

"A person.. just came right out of the night and.. took Eun Hae away. I.. couldn’t protect her, the man.. was too.. strong," Chil Hyun’s eyes watered at the thought that he had let harm befall on Eun Hae and he grabbed his head into his hands.

"Ok, who is this person you’re talking about?" Tony quickly asked, dying to find out where Eun Hae was.

"I don’t know. But he said something like.. meet at Crypter’s Alley and that.. an old friend would be waiting," Chil Hyun began another marathon of hacking coughs and Hee Jun’s poundings on his back helped him feel a lot better.

Tony’s whole face turned completely pale. His eyes seemed to be unblinking as if he was in some hypnotic trance. Tony’s right hand started quivering uncontrollably, he dropped down onto his knees slowly, his eyes still fixed onto something far off.
"Tony? What’s wrong? Do you have any clue what Chil Hyun’s talking about?" Hee Jun questioned, trying to wake Tony up from whatever nightmare he was having.

"Eun Ji Won.. lay a finger on her and I’ll kill you with my bare hands," Tony cursed under his breath.

Then, turning to where Chil Hyun and Hee Jun were staring oddly at him, Tony replied, "You guys, I love you with all my heart. You guys have been the greatest friends anyone could ever wish for. In case I don’t return, this will be my final farewell. Goodbye."

With that Tony rose from the ground and made his way towards the door, only to be stopped by a hurt Chil Hyun.

"Tony.. I’m going with you," Chil Hyun bluntly said.

"No you’re not. You have no clue what you’re dealing with. I do. Chil Hyun, don’t make this hard for me," Tony turned around, his back facing the tearing Chil Hyun.

"Tony, I’m going with you. You have no clue what Eun Hae means to me and you can’t stop me from going either," Chil Hyun answered with more force this time.

Tony turned around and stopped Chil Hyun in his tracks.

"You will NOT follow me, you here?! It’s too much danger!" Tony yelled back, his hand pushing Chil Hyun back.

"I’m going Tony and I don’t care what you say!" Chil Hyun applied back, his voice rising and his eyes looking intensely into Tony’s.

Tony sighed heavily and after standing there looking at Chil Hyun, Tony reluctantly said," Chil Hyun, one thing I have to tell you. This won’t be easy and I’m very sure you will end up hurting yourself you b*stard. Now come on," Tony turned his head to the direction of his car, Chil Hyun silently following him.

"Look, if Chil Hyun’s coming, I’m coming, too. Eun Hae means the world to me," Hee Jun shouted and Tony once again reluctantly allowed him to follow.

The three guys packed into the car. Tony drove towards Crypter’s Alley and all Hee Jun and Chil Hyun could do was pray that Eun Hae was safe and sound. The minutes seemed to be lagging behind and Tony felt that he may even be too late for Eun Hae.

‘No, I won’t lose another person close to me,’ Tony thought in his mind, but there was this nagging feeling in the back of his mind that kept him doubtful.

"WHEN ARE THEY COMING!" Ji Won screamed at Sung Hoon, who could do nothing but shrug his shoulders.

Eun Hae sat there on the cold concrete floor. She looked up the night sky and remembered what Chil Hyun had said about the stars. She lowered her head, tears of sadness flowed out of her eyes. Eun Hae clutched her knees to her chest, the only comforting motion was rocking her self back and forth. She would have to wait for a miracle to happen.

A sleek car made a sharp turn and halted to a screeching stop right in front of the alley. Three men got out of the car and approached a smirking Ji Won and the rest of Sechskies, one of the most feared gangs in all of South Korea.

"Well, well, well. We seem to meet again Tony," Ji Won chuckled, his voice dripping with a deadly poison.

"Where is she!" Tony bellowed at Ji Won, but Ji Won stood there grinning like an idiot.

"Ahh.. and whom are you talking about?" Ji Won pretended to not have a clue of what Tony was talking about.

"You know who I’m talking about. Hand her over and nothing will happen to you," Tony warned.

"Ahaha, you think you and those other two ‘kids’ could beat the all powerful Eun Ji Won? Well THAT is where you are mistaken Tony An," Ji Won began his witch-like cackle which sent chills down everyone’s spines.

"Just hand Eun Hae over and we can pretend nothing ever happened," Tony cautiously approached the crazy Ji Won.

"Oh, so that’s her name. How lovely. Well Tony, we’ll hand her over. Here you go," With a snap of his fingers, Jae Duc and Jae Jin carried a frightened Eun Hae out from behind.

"EUN HAE!" Tony screamed and ran to embrace her, but was stopped by Sung Hoon and Ji Yong.

"Eh eh eh.. not until you do this tiny favor for me," Ji Won teased the furious Tony, his finger waving back and forth in the night air.

Eun Hae’s sorrowful eyes pleaded Tony to save her, looking into them made Tony wanted to crumble up and break down right then and there.

"Ok, you’ve had enough fun with this sick game of yours. Name it, I’ll give it to you. Just don’t touch Eun Hae," Tony got on his knees and begged.

"I never knew how glorious it would feel to see Tony An down on his knees for me! Tony, surrender. Surrender your self to me and I’ll let your pretty little sister go," Ji Won commanded, his voice turning dark and treacherous.

Tony stared up at Ji Won’s cold eyes. The eyes that showed no love nor mercy. Tony knew that if he wouldn’t agree to Ji Won’s plan, Eun Hae would be placed in danger. But if he did agree, then he would never see Eun Hae or anyone else ever again.

Tony knew what he had to do, so he rose up from off the ground. He shook the dirt off from his knees, his back was stiff and straight and he glared into Ji Won’s eyes.

In a flash, Tony pulled a gun from a secret pocket in his jacket. He aimed it directly between Ji Won’s eyes and began stepping back.

"Let her go and I’ll let you go," Tony uttered, his eye never leaving his target.

Ji Won panicked, this wasn’t planned. He had totally forgotten that there was always a chance for a weapon to be involved. The rest of Sechskies lifted their guns and directed them to Tony. Ji Won couldn’t let his pride down, so he motioned for everyone to put their weapons down. This was his battle, no one else’s.

"But boss.." Sung Hoon began to stutter.

"I said PUT THEM DOWN! Ji Yong, gun. Jae Duc, girl," Ji Won handed over his bare hand and Ji Yong placed a gun onto his palm.

Jae Duc dragged Eun Hae over to where Ji Won was standing, dropped her onto the ground, and ran off in the opposite direction.

"I always knew he was a coward," Ji Won chuckled to himself, as he pointed his own gun to Eun Hae’s temple.

Eun Hae, scared stiff by now, closed her eyes and let her tears escape. She slowly awaited for something to happen, but her prayers weren’t being answered.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF HER!" Tony screamed at Ji Won.

Tony gathered up his courage. He pulled his trigger and allowed the single bullet to go flying.

Ji Won had seen it coming. He knew Tony would do this so from the beginning, he knew what he had to do. Everything happened in such a slow motion, yet there was no way to prevent anything that fate had already planned out. The bullet flew closer and closer to it’s aimed target...

And the rest was silence.

Chapter 28

**************

"EUN HAE!"

Eun Hae’s fragile body slowly fell onto the ground, slipping out of Ji Won’s shaking hands. Ji Won slowly stepped back, scared that he may cause more harm. He just stared at her body until someone rushed into the scene, hovering over the laying figure, and cradling her lifeless body into his arms.

Chil Hyun ran towards her cascading body and strained to catch her before she landed on the ground. Chil Hyun held Eun Hae’s wrist up, feeling around for a pulse rate. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t seem to find one.

His eyes stared in disbelief at what had just happened. The last few seconds played over in his mind, he couldn’t believe what he had done. There was no possible way this could’ve happened. It just couldn’t. He was horror stricken, there in front of his eyes lay the consequences of his actions. Tony’s gun fell from his hand and onto the cold floor. Tony’s eyes couldn’t focus on anything.. except for.. her.

"Eun Hae? Eun Hae??" Chil Hyun managed to say her name, his voice choking from his own tears.

"Answer me! No, you can’t go yet. No.." Chil Hyun’s voice cracked, his eyes were blurred from his large tears which were now falling onto Eun Hae’s pale face.

Chil Hyun gently shook Eun Hae, trying to awaken her, trying to wake himself up from this horrible nightmare. Chil Hyun shook away the awful thoughts in his mind. He couldn’t force himself to believe that this was actually happening. It was just a nightmare, that was all it was. But why couldn’t he get himself to believe that?

‘Eun Hae.. say something. Anything! Just tell me this isn’t true!’ Chil Hyun sobbed, his pained voice stopped by a long cry of agony.

Tony fell onto his knees, his head hung low in shame. It was true, he had done it again. He had lost another person so close to him, once again because of his foolish actions. He just couldn’t take it anymore, there had to be an ending to his mistakes. Sadly, he knew that there was no way he could turn back time and change what fate had decided.

Hee Jun couldn’t understand it. How could this have happened? He hadn’t come prepared for this, this seemed impossible. Eun Hae couldn’t be dead, she just couldn’t be. Hee Jun’s hot tears rolled down his cheeks, the moonlight bouncing off of them. He hastily rubbed his face dry and turned his back from Eun Hae and Chil Hyun. He didn’t even get to tell her how much he had loved her, how much he had cared for her. He didn’t get to say good bye.

Eun Ji Won had never felt guilt or remorse in his whole life. Never had he had such an aching feeling in his heart after he did anything. But seeing what he had done completely broke his heart. How could he be such a cruel man? That night, Eun Ji Won walked out of that valley, no longer a man of crime, but a man of a changed heart.

Chil Hyun rocked Eun Hae in his arms back and forth. She was bound to wake up any second now, both of them. Everything would be just the way it was before. Nothing like this would ever happen again, he would keep an eye out for Eun Hae. Chil Hyun was sure of it now, if only Eun Hae would somehow come back.

"Chil Hyun.."
Chil Hyun’s ears perked up from the sound of someone faintly calling out his name. It had to have been the wind, there was no one who had a voice as soft as whoever was calling him. But he had the slightest hope that it could be..

"Eun Hae?" Chil Hyun rapidly blinked his eyes causing his tears to splatter in all directions, checking to make sure if he hadn’t gone totally insane.

Eun Hae slowly focused in on everything around her. She remembered what happened, what had happened just a few seconds ago. She saw Tony pull a gun out, he pulled the trigger, and then, everything went blank. As her eyes adjusted to the darkness, the only thing in front of her was the sweet, charming face of her love. That was all that mattered to her, that would be all that will matter to her.

"Eun Hae!! You’re-" Eun Hae cut off the excited voice of Chil Hyun’s by placing her finger over his lips.

"Chil Hyun.. just listen and don’t say a word.." Eun Hae’s exasperated voice slowly came out of her mouth.

Chil Hyun nodded his head, wanting so much to hear that she’ll make it, that she’s fine, that she’ll be with him forever.

"Chil Hyun.. before I.. go," Eun Hae managed to meekly cough out before Chil Hyun’s frantic voice interrupted her.

"No! Don’t say that! We’ll get you to a hospital, you’ll be fine," Chil Hyun tried to convince her but deep inside, they both knew that it would do nothing, it was too late for anything to happen now.

"No.. it’s too late. I.. I’m dying," Eun Hae cried out, her heart so sorrowful to see him cry before her like that. Those eyes, those beautiful eyes, Eun Hae couldn’t stand seeing them pour out tears for her, for someone who was never going to be able to see them again.

"You’re not dying! You’ll live! You’ll live.." Chil Hyun wailed out, knowing that what just came out of his mouth was a lie. A lie was all it was.

"Chil Hyun, don’t.. please don’t cry for me.. please?" Eun Hae begged, her fragile hands cupping his face, and her fingers gently wiped away the tears from his watery eyes.

"I’m sorry, I couldn’t tell you this before," Eun Hae continued, her voice slowly slipping away, her breathing uneven, her bleeding chest soaking her wool sweater down to its very last thread. "I.. I love you, Chil Hyun. I’ve always had, I always will..."

Chil Hyun managed to smile at those sweet words, the words he had waited all his life for. But why did he have to hear them now? At a time like this? His lips quivered, his whole body shook at the sight before his eyes. His love, his one true love was dying in his arms, and there was nothing he could do about it.

"Eun Hae, please hold on a bit longer. I love you too much, too much to let you go," Chil Hyun begged pointlessly to the already dying Eun Hae.

"No.. find yourself another girl. A girl that will stay with you...," Eun Hae requested of Chil Hyun.

"I’ll love you forever, Chil Hyun. Forever. Please, just once. For the last time, please.. smile for me?" Eun Hae begged. Chil Hyun’s tearful eyes sparkled and his lips parted into a sweet smile, he would do anything for Eun Hae.

Eun Hae slowly nodded her head gratefully as she herself gave away her last smile, one showing all the love she had in the world for the person who stayed with her these last moments of her life. Her eyes slowly closed, never to be opened again. Her head heavily drooped onto Chil Hyun’s arm and gently rested there, as Chil Hyun’s tear dropped onto her hair, trickling down the strands it had landed on.

Snow glistened down from the heavens above, becoming tangled in Chil Hyun’s soft hair. The snow swiftly circled the two lovers, who were still in each other’s arms, then continued on its journey. Chil Hyun lifted his head up slowly, his tears had frozen on the tips of his eye lashes. It was the first snowfall of the year.

Epilogue

**************

Love is never a perfect thing, some may say it was never meant to be perfect. Love is known for the pains and risks it puts its victims into, yet one who has died without experiencing love, has truly missed one of the greatest things in life...

As the ivory casket lowered into the ground, Chil Hyun dropped a single, red rose onto the lid. Mounds of dirt were placed over the coffin, covering the pile of roses lain on its surface. Tony hadn’t shown up. Honestly, Chil Hyun was feeling a bit angry at his friend, how could he not come to his own sister’s funeral?

‘Maybe the pain was just too great for Tony, just like it is for me right now,’ Chil Hyun turned around and eyed all the people that attended the funeral. Never in his life had he seen so many people, but why wouldn’t there be a crowd? So many people loved Eun Hae, so many people...

Tony couldn’t dare show his face to his sister, even if she was no longer here with him. The agony of seeing her eyes, those eyes were looking at him so forlornly that dreadful night. Her eyes never left his image, Tony knew that the image was there to haunt him forever. That’s why he had come in hiding, that was the only way he could avoid his sister.

"Eun Hae ya.. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I destroyed your future, your life, I’m sorry I destroyed you. Please, find it in your heart to forgive me. Tell Sung Ho I said hi. I love you both so much, you don’t even know the beginning of the love I have for you two. I’m going to the States, Eun Hae. I’ll tell Hannah what happened. I just wish I didn’t have to be the one to tell her and ruin her winter break. Well, this is goodbye. Goodbye... I’ll see you again... one day," Tony let his tears escape, he felt so ashamed that he couldn’t tell his two best friends that he was leaving. Nonetheless, Tony left Korea that day, never to be found again.

Chil Hyun felt a tear escape from his eye, as he wiped it away, he remembered Eun Hae’s last moments on this earth. Feeling his eyes turn blurry, Chil Hyun placed on dark sunglasses when he felt a strong hand on his shoulder.

"We all miss her, so don’t just hide yourself in the corner when you think about her. She truly was one of the greatest people I met," Hee Jun comforted.

Chil Hyun just nodded understandingly when all of a sudden, a pure white butterfly came fluttering in front of him. He smiled at the site of the tiny thing, as it quickly flew away as it had come.

As Chil Hyun approached the black car awaiting him along the stone road, Chil Hyun looked up at the clear blue sky and smiled that precious smile that will always be one that Eun Hae could always treasure.

‘Eun Hae.. thank you so much for letting me be able to hear that you love me. I’ll love you til the day I die, Eun Hae. I’m glad that I was the one who granted your last wish...’
