in a room filled with paint
totally capable
of designing a mate
totally ready
to pick up a brush
totally silent
as air turns to mush

totally prepared
to go out in style
totally wanting
to laugh all the while
totally disturbed
by thoughts from the past
totally irated
by things that don't last

totally frightened
by what's all in store
totally forgotten
as i close the glass door
totally confused
by what i've become
totally enjoying
what can't be undone

totally exhausted
as day turns to night
totally glamorous
in a dark sort of light
totally admiring
the new color of paint
totally replacing
an old hue of hate
