"Red Leather Chair"
May 11, 2000
He doesn't know who you are yet...
Please don't fall, don't fall
Onto the ground
I can't stand the echo of
Metal and tile sounding around-
It's so easy to let silver go-
Silver meet floor, floor meet woe;
He doesn't know who you are yet...
Lay low on the floor
'Til the handyman comes-
Once a week to clear out the bums-
Only 6 days left
'Til he sweeps through this house,
Filling a hole made by our pet mouse;
It's ok if you wait
Until he comes to the door-
He doesn't know, after all,
You're lying on the floor-
He doesn't even know who you are yet...
Let the piano sing and the guitars wail,
And maybe the tune will find your white sail,
But silver spoon, you've got a mission
And it's somewhat related to your life, supersticion.
