PROLOGUE
It was published in 1990 by Creative Publishers, a division of Robinson Blackmore (the company who prints the Halifax Daily News!). At first I was scared to death to see myself and my deepest thoughts in the public eye but now I've gotten used to it and I am quite proud to know that my name will be left behind on the bookshelves of some libraries for years to come. I have been published in about 5 other books but briefly and I've had numerous articles on various subjects published in a variety of news media. I won a CBC short story award way back in 1980 and one National Poetry Award from MaryLand, New York, U.S. about 2 years ago. It's fun to see my name in print. Everytime I get something published it feels as if I'm breathing new life to my creative expression. It's so exciting. I haven't been trying to get anything published lately since I've been studying for a number of years and because I've been going through some seedy times. I am finding I'm getting the bug again though. I've got a couple of projects finally in the works!!!
