Rhodesian Ridgeback
LINKS...
Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue has a name for all of it's rescues, that name is "Msaada". The word itself means rescue.  This is Msaada's Serengeti Queen, otherwise known as Sera. This site is dedicated to all of the dogs in rescue, those who have gone to their forever homes, and those who have yet to find the "perfect" home.
As the Ohio State Coordinator for the national organization, Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue of the United States, I've compiled a group of very informative links for those who are considering adopting a rescued ridgeback, or are trying to decide if the ridgeback is the right breed of dog for them. Please browse through the links on this site, particularly Kalahari Rhodesian Ridgebacks. This site is owned by fellow rescuer in the Gulf of Texas, Sandra Fikes. No need to reinvent the wheel since this site has it all!  Another good place to start and familiarize yourself with the breed standard of the ridgeback is the AKC, there you will get to know just what the physical characteristics should be, and there is only one Rhodesian Ridgeback.  If you hear something about "types" be very wary.
Online applications for adoption or for becoming  a rescue volunteer can be found on the rescue home page. You can also check out the Rescue Store where all proceeds go to benefit  future adoptees. As I find new sites with great information I'll be adding them to this page in an attempt to make it a useful resource.  I've also cut down on the graphics so that it doesn't take as long to download.
