HOWARD HUGE is a St Bernard who, like MARMADUKE, causes great consternation with his equally great proportions. He's the title star of Bill Hoest's strip. When Hoest died in 1988, he had completed the next 3 years worth of 'Howard', 'Agatha Crumm', 'The Lockhorns' + others. Once these were all finally published, his widow Bunny + John Reiner picked up where he left off
