Walking To School ----------------- On my way to school I didn't think about books, didn't think about lunch, didn't think about my brother. She saw me trip and I saw her laugh, her smile picked me up, and now I'm falling again. I wonder if you'ld have let me carry your books, I'd be afraid to ask and you'ld walk away. Should've learned by now a trip and fall's the same, Free will's a risk, a choice made if not made. On my way to school the choices weren't so easy, but in retrospect I know what I should have done. My, how I have grown, but the hindrance is the same. What's the worst that could happen? It's for things to not change. I saw her trip and she saw me laugh. I went up and asked, "Do you need some help with those?" We talked a bit and I made her laugh, she said I was witty like her boyfriend, Joe. On my way to my car, you know when it rains it pours, she was the cutest thing, and I just had to know. I said, "I was thinking" and she said that she was too. So we wen't for coffee, and tomorrow we're going dancing. (Which is something I never do.)
