Sheila E. Murphy
Murphy's home is in
Phoenix, where she has lived since 1976. She co-founded and continues to
coordinate with Beverly Carver the Scottsdale Center for the Arts Poetry
Series, now in its eleventh season.
Her manuscript Letters to Unfinished J. was recently selected
for publication in the Sun & Moon Press Open Book Competition. The award,
presented annually, recognizes a poetry collection and a fictional work.
This year's judge for the poetry competition was Los Angeles-based poet
Dennis Phillips. Falling in Love Falling in Love with your Syntax: Selected and New Poems was just released by Potes & Poets Press.
