trace s. ruggles, Poet ruggles, whose e.mail address is tracer@shn.net, was born 30 April 1969 in Austin TX. He is married, with 3 children. He supports himself and family as a Web Producer. He got a B.A. in Writing & Literature at The Naropa Institute. He likes playing GO and basketbal, and is interested in artificial intelligence. He is a Zenarchist both politically and theologically. His list of important contemporary poets includes: Clark Coolidge, Susan Howe, Lyn Hejinian, Leslie Scalapino, Anne Waldman, Jackson MacLow and Jerome Rothenberg; he admires Walt Whitman, Jack Spicer, Allen Ginsberg, Robert Duncan and William Blake among the poets of the past. "I enjoy the "Language Poets" (whatever the hell that means)," he says about his tastes in poetry. "I like found poetry, collages, non-intentional writing." His take on comntemporary poetry is that it's " all over the place. There isn't really any definition of it, per se."
He enjoys the work of movie-directors Terry Gilliam, Oliver Stone and Woody Allen, and the
music of Bjork, Arvo Part, Beastie Boys and Tori Amos. About his life in general, he says
