This one story I'm working on: The Revenge I. It's a normal Saturday morning in Yorkton, a small town in Canada, quiet, bright, and foggy. The town is still sleeping... Around about 8 o'clock, groups of people appear like magic on the main street, and chat with each others. Street vendors start hawking their wares; they're trying to convince everybody in the world to buy the "good stuff" they sell. In just few minutes, the town has been fully filled with noises. As in older times, the sounds from the town go through a broken class on Mr.Brown's antiquated cabin window, and "lands" on the rough surface of his old oak table besides the window. In fact, that's the only place the "sound" could land. The rest of the place is filled with boxes, Mr. Brown has a shipping business. His business is not very big, but it is the only shipping company in this entire region. There are tons of newspapers strewn about on the table. Of cause, those "news"paper are not new, today's newspaper hasn't been delivered yet. If you take a closer look at those newspapers, you can hear that there is something under neath the paper. If you get and keep a little bit closer, keep one hundred percent of your ears open, and listen carefully... you can hear the sound of breathing coming out from inside of the papers. There is something alive inside!!! Careful, don't touch it, that thing at the bottom might be a big gaint poisonous spider. It could bite you in less than one hundredth of a second. About 20 minutes later, the "thing" starts slowly moving, and begins breathing harder and harder. Now you can hear it even from ten feet away, "hoo--hoo, hoo--hoo, hoo--hoo..." It's going up, louder and louder. The couple pieces of papers on the top down to the dirty floor. Some of the papers slide to the "deeper side" of the falls pile, and finally reach the table surface. A few white hairs are come out from those tinny spaces between papers. Maybe it's a gaint rat. There are a lot of articles that mention the rats on the battle fields of World War II. Since they ate dead bodies, they could grow as big as dogs. Is this the same kind of rat? It could be. There are a lot of things they could eat here. They would have much better nutrition than those battle field rats. After all, these rats live in a warehouse owned by a shipping company!!! The "strange" thing is coming out of the paper now... As it peeks out it is clear that the rats of war are now upon us.
