Bobby del Pilar

    Imagine a PMA cadet or a Naval Forces officer. What comes first to your mind? Someone answered -- dashing! Very nasculine! Well that's exactly how you will see Bobby five to ten years hence (that is, if he pushes throught with his ambitions). A large apartment house and a piece of land for his ma and pa, are what he would like to give them both, if only to show his love and gratitude for them.
    But that is jumping ahead of time. Let's concentrate on the present. Well, presently, Bobby likes (and he gave me this long list of what he LIKES) :

Color:    Blue
Dish:    Bulanglang
Game:    Basketball
People:    Those who can take jokes
Friends:    Who are fun to be with; whose company is enjoyable.
Girls:    Who are simple but charming; those who dress nicely;

And here's what he dislikes:
People:    Who are pretentious
Girls:    who are too silent
Subject:    (in whispers)  History

    Oh, excuse me, before I forget, he also said his favorite actor and actress are Steve McQueen and Ann Margret, respectively. While his favorite singers are: Timi Yuro, Connie Francis, Vic Dana and Jimmy Rogers.
    That's it, his likes and dislikes enumerated, and all done up for you. Just in case you want to know more, just say so, okay?
    Being the eldest of four children and the rest of whom being all girls, Bobby sure has a lot of responsibility. But this is only part of the responsibility that Bobby has to tackle. Beinga an UPSCA member, a CNCOCS candidate, Junior Organization President and our very own Associate Sports Editor, well you can imagine how much he has to tackle with!

    You may wonder how how makes all these possible 9you know, making both ends meet and all those). Maybe this principle of his will explain why: To achieve success, one must work hard and have determination. By working hard, there grows in us the determination to succeed, to profit in our toil.
    But all work and no play just doesn't apply to Bobby. On the contrary, despite his taxing jobs, Bobby still finds time for his hobbies, namely, writing poems (wow!) and reading pocketbooks, mostly thrillers and adventure stories.
    This one is hard to begin. What shall we say?  Hear our personality speak, "ang hirap, e." To inform you what this is all about,, we have just asked him what his ideal girl is. Anyway, we came throught he ordeal and her's the result: In a girl, he seeks for tjust one physical quality and that is, a pair of beautiful and allluring eyes. But her's what he added: I don't want a girl who's too beautiful, because somebody said I am the jealous type. (Ehem!)
    Say, can you believe that Bobby is seventeen years old? Well, we can't! That's why we are asking you. But he affirms that he is. Baby-faced, isn't he? (Girls, isn't he?)
