kumusta?  it was good to hear from you.  i got really excited and wanted to
reply sooner but i have been so busy both at work and at home for the past
few weeks.  at pag nagka-tiyempo naman ako, it's either i'm too exhausted
to email (w/c i know will not be brief) or my husband joe is using the
computer (he's self-employed and home-based; he runs his own one-man,
sometimes two-man (w/ me) company via the internet.  he's always busy, kaya
mahirap singitan sa computer.

it was leticia "tish" (evolving from boticia, botish) pascual (may she rest
in peace) who "baptized" me w/ the nickname "toots" in our 4th year in high
school during one of those hangouts after our high school PEs sa u.p.
diliman.  likewise, she also nicknamed fe rivadelo "bads" evolving from
"bading", norma sarino "norms" evolving from "normsky", edita tan
"tangent", etc.  "toots" got stucked thru college and among all my friends
at u.p.

of course, i remember you.  you were the mother hen of the group "demures
or demurrs (?)" (is this right?) (Divina gracia, Edna, Mimi (naomi miguel),
Rosalinda, Susana (manalad), veronica luz, felisa cunanan, zenaida silayan.
 did i miss anyone?)  i forget how you came up w/ the name d'mmurrs(?).  so
how's the group doing?  are you still in touch?  you were also jerry
barican's crush in 4th year at up prep.

i know divina gracia lived w/ her husband in n.y.  i saw her featured in
the n.y. times art section some years ago.  does she & her family still
live here? who do you know who else among our batch live in n.y. or n.j.?

where in n.y. did you live and where did you work?  maybe we have friends
in common.  sayang also that i did not know you live in san diego.  i was
there in '82 for the 12th int'l congress of nutrition.  i know some pinoys
in san diego.  do you know the somcio family from iloilo?

sayang nga.  we could have hooked up when you visited n.y. last year.  sana
there'll be a next time.  hopefully, before the y2k grand reunion.  in the
meantime, let's keep in touch.  thank god for the wonders of technology and
for manny canillas, etc.

 I've lived in San Diego since '82 with my family - hubby and two kids, Josh
18 and Angela 15.  I lived in NY for 2 years - '72-'74, and returned there
with Hugo, my hubby, last year to visit.  Sayang, I wish I knew then that
you
lived there; we could have hooked up.
I'm being "kicked off" the computer right now, but i'll email you again soon.

 we are living on a very tight budget (in fact, on credit).  but do you
 think, this will stop me from attending the grand reunion?  naaaaaaaaah.

 over his asthma?  nena casinday, eq pablo, carmelita pineda, eddie umali,
 etc., still the sociable type?  teddy bernardino, jerry barican, leonard
 serafica, roberto torres, edna santos, divina gracia montalban, felisa
 cunanan, etc., still chubby (like i am now)?  samuel de jesus, ray dan,
 samuel tierra, antonio cortez, heidi young, flordeliza santos, edita tan,
 etc., still slim?  is the crush ng bayan still cute?  is becky torres still
 a great dancer? are cesar gopez, amador rio, jose congson, raul leopando,
 godofredo antonio, etc., still wearing glasses?  i know you're still
 single, are you still the happy-go-lucky type and do you still go for the
 boobsie type?) and so forth and so on.

 this is all for now while i start my "mission impossible" to lose about 50
 lbs. for the y2k grand reunion.
