Janman's Haikus
Janman's Haikus
I hear his approach
And breathe in as he passes
His scent lifts my soul
One day he will wed
And I shall forever rue
My fearful silence
* * * * * *
"I thought maybe, um-"
Oh God, how embarrassing,
My nose is bleeding!
* * * * * *
The day is over
And in the peace of my bed
I play in my dreams
* * * * * *
I don't envy men
For climaxing everytime;
It's a lot of work!
* * * * * *
Time is very dear
Why waste it craving romance
When we could just fuck?
I would like to see
If I can please you as well
As I can myself
* * * * * *
Why am I awake?
Culture demands that I sleep.
My body ignores this.
My window is open,
Cool night air fills my bedroom;
Rejuvenating.
The mosquito lands,
I sit still and watch her drink.
Odd - it does not itch.
Pity not the bug,
Unaware of the swatter.
So painlessly quick.
I just noticed now -
My fingertips are gnawed down.
Am I that nervous?
As the days pass by,
A new life approaches me.
God, am I ready?
* * * * * *
I'm able to help
People show parts of their souls;
It's truly an honor.
* * * * * *
Paws knead my stomach
He purrs as I scratch his back
We are both smiling
* * * * * *
If girlfriends and wives
Knew just how good it could feel
You'd all be in shit
* * * * * *
There's no more money
But there's no time for a job!
I am so hungry.
* * * * * *
Not even two weeks
Since I'd been in the towers
They fell on my screen
Knowing they were trapped,
The terror they must have felt -
Indescribable.
