I melted empty dreams just to get around
I left the door open to miss coming down
I kept my promise to keep from drowning
I lift my head to pay the price of trusting

I left myself hiding
I left myself slapped, so overwhelmed
I swallow my words to keep on lying
I swallow myself to keep on trying

you had my head on your lap
drain my pain into a papercup
the whole world is coming down on me
you had to talk without speaking
to release me.
