There's one love you'll remember as the years go by,
That brings a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes.
One love you'll remember, that you thought would never end,
That touched your heart like no one else ever will again.
There's one love you'll remember who holds a special place,
One person you cannot forget, one time cannot erase.
One love you'll remember who broke your heart in two,
Who left you standing all alone not knowing what to do.
There's one love you'll remember better than all the rest,
But the reason may not be that they were the best.
One love you'll remember on a cold and rainy day,
When you wonder what could have been if things had gone your way.
There's one love you'll remember and miss so very much,
As the time goes by, and you stay out of touch.
One love you'll remember, a lesson learned too well,
That life is not so easy; sometimes it is hell.
There's one love you'll remember like none you've ever had,
A love that taught you how to make something good from bad.
One love you'll remember as the years go by,
One love you'll remember, one love that will not die.
