WELCOME!
So you've come to greet the one who has touched my wild spirit and to hear our song. It is good. I can only tell my part of this story. He must be willing to share his with you. I cannot speak for him nor take his words & make them my own. His soul & heart are his own... and yet are a part of mine.
He is the DragonTempest. Some times he is a dragon & some times he is a tempest... But to me he is a man, mate of my heart & soul. His feelings, hopes, dreams, desires, fears, laughter & tears are mine as well. We have battled long & hard, my twin soul & I. We bare scars both visible & invisible. We have traveled far & wide over diverse paths that finally joined together. We each heard the other's voice crying through the darkness, the loneliness, the distance & Time.
Our story is long & interesting. Parts of it are very personal & cannot be shared. We met through an Internet personals ad. He placed it, I read it then wrote to him. That happened March 29, 1998. When we found out that we each had a chat program called ICQ (I Seek U), we met online & talked. He lived in Buford, GA, about 35-40 miles from my family's home in Atlanta, GA. I came home a week after we started chatting for my college's Spring Break. We talked about meeting in real life some time that week. Well, we met at my house April 6, 1998. That is a day I will almost never forget. *fond smile* Did I forget to mention that he's white, with brownish red hair, big brown eyes, huge gentle hands, broad shoulders & very shy natured?
The first meeting was a good start. We liked each other enough to keep talking & make arrangements to meet again. He came up to my college to see a studio play I was working with about three weeks later. After that, he came back three weeks later again to see the main stage play I was stage manager for. He even came to my graduation that May. Whenever he could manage to, he would come up to my place in South Carolina & spend the weekend with me. It kept on like this until mid-July. I had a violent allergic reaction & had to be hospitalized. My parents came to bring me home to GA since I was living alone & they were very worried. While I was home, DragonTempest would call to check up on me. He even came to visit often. It was in August, before I returned to SC, that he half-heartedly asked me to marry him. My sickness scared him to the point that he realized that he was beginning to fall in love with me. At that point I was also slowly falling in love with him. So I half-heartedly said yes. Over time, the half-heartedness turned into whole-heartedness & the love grew deeper.
November 27, 1998, he gave me a beautiful engagement ring. Needless to say, my mother's family was far from happy for me. We've been together for six years & looking forward to many more years together. We were married February 4, 2000, just celebrated our third wedding anniversary, and currently living in Texas.
