I
love to walk along beaches and feel the sand beneath my feet, small waves
splashing against them. Later they look like prunes and I have to clean
sand out from underneath my toenails, but I still love it. Occasionally
I find a nail lodged between two toes or barnacles that have attached to
my ankles, but I still love it. Even though I’ve had large gashes
from sharp stones and glass, multiple jellyfish stings, cracked insteps
from shells, lost toes to sharks when I waded in a little bit too far, and had a piranha take a chunk off my heel, I still love it. Because, my friend, it just feels good.
