Jose:passed a few months after the photo above.
birthdate:unknown
was approx. 7yrs. old when he joined my family in Oct. of 1992
Jose's passing on 7-29-98 was due to a brain tumor. He did not suffer, though his brain ceased to tell his body how to function.

Chocolate Caramel, was named by a friends daughter. She is Grizzz's daughter. Her mother, Chin Lee, passed in Oct. 1992. Chocolate was an emergency Ceserian...both the mother and pup...nearly lost thier lives in the ordeal, as my car broke down driving to the closet Veterinarian Emergency Hospital was over an hour away. Chocolate was the only puppy to survive out of the two. She suffered mild brain damage, which accounted for her unusual behavior. She was born Oct.25, 1990- April 2002. She was very loved, and very loving to those who had enough insite to see her good side.

Casta

Casta is mix Chihuahua, her markings and her attitude are similar to a Doberman. She came to my family shorthly following Jose's passing, when a local Pet Shop owner knew of my knack with troubled, and abused animals. Casta was approximately four years old, when I adopted her in Aug. of 1998. She was allowed to learn to trust at her own pace. I had initially planned to find her a good home, however, she needed special care and so did I, therefore:we bonded.

Shasta, the newest addition to my family
with her babies
Spring 2000
Sometimes people do stupid things.
On the way home from getting groceries one evening
I stopped at a moving sale.
As I was leaving I happened to notice a dog at the side gate.
A few days later this dog was wondering loose near my fence
and noticed that she had been nursing pups>
Putting two and two together, I went to make sure no puppies,
but found 9 of them, approx. 3 weeks old
huddled together in a shed behind the now vacant house.
This was during finals, and they all were in desparate need of immediate care.
That was late April, it is now the latter part of June.
All but one puppy have gone to good homes.
The remaining puppy and her mother are still with me.
I have named momma dog, Shasta, and plan to keep her.
She has already been spayed now, and all of them are doing very well.

more puppy pic's to follow later.
