Speculative Markets

for romance writers

The first two listings do not accept speculative stories, but pay extremely well for contemporary romance. I strongly recommend that you read several issues of Woman's World, The Woman's Weekly and obtain their guidelines (GL) before submitting to this market.

For print magazine info, I subscribe to Scavenger's Newsletter, The Gila Queen's Guide to Markets and Speculations and request guidelines from a number of magazines listed therein. In surfing the net, I look for webzines that appear friendly to beginning writers and add them to these market listings. I suggest you check out their respective websites for more comprehensive info.
