Thought I'd take the plunge and attempt to build a web site. Hope you will enjoy what I have to say until I can add fancy fonts, borders, backgrounds, graphics and such.
I've been fortunate enough to achieve publishing credits in over twenty small press publications.
Last year, I completed the first five chapters and a chapter by chapter outline of the rest of the book for five different novels. These are best described as a dark fantasy set in another universe, a contemporary urban fantasy, a fantasy set in the Old West, an epic fantasy set in another universe and a supernatural murder mystery. Hope to sell on the basis of a partial and then write the rest of the book.
So much for my bonafides. I have dedicated this website to beginning writers who are struggling to make that all-important "first sale." You can find lots of info about the craft of writing, market listings, writers' groups, etc. on the internet. But very few sites that can tell you exactly what you need to do to make a sale.
In these pages I give you specific advice on how to get published. And where you need to submit your work. I provide current market listings of editors who are open to submissions from aspiring writers in my Basic Market listing.
Writers who have a couple of sales under their belts can check out the markets for Speculative Fiction writers. And romance writers will find useful info in my Speculative Romance Market listing.
Later, I hope to have pages regarding my writing endeavors and other items of possible interest. Right now, I need to get back to my current WIP - a SF novel.
