So I was traveling up thru the Cascades when whaddayaknow, I hit road works and it seemed an awfully long wait. Eventually the biker couple up ahead, dismounted their Harley and sat on the crash barrier. Then this man emerged from the car behind me and began to question the stop sign man. Then the driver behind him came out to join the party too. The stop sign man gave a detailed account of how a deluge had triggered landslide that wiped out the road with such devastation that it took blasting to clear. He certainly knew his stuff; I thought, "Listening to this man is like watching Discovery channel". This I felt was surely a scene worthy of recording.
