Diary 185

09-04-98

I saw the most georgeous car today...it was a mustang (which isn't the pretty part), that had an incredible prism-like paintjob. It made rainbow colors all over the car in the sunlight. The minute I have money to burn, I'm getting myself one.

I'm exhausted, and it doesn't look to be getting better soon, so if I ramble, you know why.

Dirk keeps teasing me with the promise of a present, though he won't reveal to me what it is. Better be a kitty kat with wings. My mother agreed to buy me the $239 Citizen watch with the pearloid face I'd admired so much.

We may have a potential new singer dropping by practice tomorrow. I'm amzed...this guy actually has a car! We should probably break out the champagne or something...speaking of, has anyone tried that jell-o that's supposed to have bubbles in it? I did, and was horribly disappointed. No bubbles. I even used seltzer water, as the recipe required. Cheap bastards. I don't know how it tastes with the bubbles, but it tasted like shit.

Katie, Dirk and I are supposed to go to Georgetown on Sunday. I hope nothing comes up. This will be my informal birthday celebration.

Okay, dream time:
Dalin and I were walking through the underground catacombs in Paris, looking at all the bones that had been removed from their graves during the so-called "Age of Enlightement." (This is true, they have them on display for visitors, though no-one's sure of the original motives for this) There were cafes down there, although there aren't in real life, and next to the food in all of the cafes were dead bodies, waiting to be embalmed. The people were disgusted with this, and, even as we watched, the cafes/cafeterias lost customers and shut down because of the practice.

I think I had that dream because I talked to Dalin online for a long time. Our exchanges always have an element of the mystic to them. I wouldn't mind seeing those catacombs in real life, however.

I ran into a friend of mine, Pam. She goes to UVA, and looks incredible. Talk about motivation to get my shit together.

I've also started working on a novel, but not the same one. I've got the whole series mapped out in my head, so I'm going to start with the second book, that I can use my current experiences with.

I'm moving to a more vegetarian diet. I bought those Garden Burgers today....I'll try one tomorrow. I'm hoping for the best.

Well, damn. I meant to talk about more stuff, but I've been typing in my sleep, and I fear completely losing this entry.
