(Monday): I love government holidays. They restore my faith in the world. I'm still waiting to be hit with the inspiration bug....Dirk's saying that the 'zine should be bi-monthly until we get more staff members. I really do not want to do that.

As a note of interest, Krisco has a job--as a telemarketer. With her self-esteem problems, I predict that she will hold that job for about 3 hours. I had a friend named Heather, very self-assured, very positive. Her job as a telemarketer lasted about 3 weeks, because it was so depressing to have all these people being rude to her all the time. Krisco is not self-assured or positive. Maybe the job will drive her to suicide.

(Tuesday): Dirk moved the articles from the "New Issue" section of our web site over to the appropriate archives last night. Unfortunately, he hasn't completely grasped HTML, so we had to go back today and revise, edit, and set up a couple more htmls. What a headache! Sometimes I wonder if running a 'zine is worth it.

I also got a friend in Illinois to agree to see what he could do about getting the 'zine distributed there. I'm hoping to add some more people to our mailing list. Dirk says that's going to get expensive pretty soon....when it does, I'll start charging postage. I get caught up in the intricacies of running this 'zine so easily. It's so complicated, and a challenge to get out an issue within a reasonable amount of time.

One thing I could live without are the solicitors that send me advertisements for stuff "my subscribers might be interested in." I can pretty much give them an answer right now. No. No, they do not want to purchase a mousepad with a picture of the titanic. No, they do not want to see your nasty little cartoons that are free for anyone's use because they're so lame. No, I don't want to let them know about your service that lets them set up their own web page for free without knowing one iota of HTML code. There are enough retarded home pages out there, cluttering up the internet..."Look at these cool GIF's I found!"...."Links to my favorite sites"...."How I like to spend my time"...."My favorite color, and pictures of things that color"...etc. We don't really need all that shit out there. Self-expression is overrated. Lots of people don't have anything worthwhile to express.
