I spent yesterday attacking those people who send unsolicited e-mail advertisements. Did you know that you can now sue someone for up to $500 if they send you this garbage? Doesn't that feel empowering? I mean, granted, it's piss useless if people are going to use that programming that makes it virtually impossible to track them down, but so many spammers aren't smart enough to do that. They just get an account with hotmail, or some other free service, and perform their evil operations there.
Anyway, I've managed to make one guy lose his free e-mail account, AND get booted from his ISP. Just because I felt like it, and all it took was a nicely-worded e-mail to the sysadmin of his free e-mail service.
Yes, I was that bored yesterday. Today isn't shaping up to be any better. I am crooning a song of lonesome boredness to my computer.
I need to buy more books. My mother has awful taste in literature, and I can feel my IQ slipping from reading so many trashy romance novels. Give me book money for my birthday, please.
Aaron's completely unused to being without a girlfriend. After all, he was with Sonia for 5 years, and he can't deal with being single. On Monday night, he was asking me, "Agent Skatter, do I look thinner than Dirk?"
[Beat]
My face slowly worked its way into an incredulous stare. "I don't know, man. I don't notice these things."
"Oh, come on. It's not that hard. Do I look thinner than Dirk or not?"
Sarcastic smile. "Oh, yeah, Aaron. You do."
"You're just saying that to shut me up, aren't you?"
"Pretty much."
I think Aaron's very insecure about his appearance because Jason found a girlfriend, and a hot one, but Aaron's still alone. I feel sorry for him, but not at the expense of my boyfriend. He hangs around Dirk and I an awful lot these days. While it makes him a lot easier to be around the rest of the time (especially since that night I got drunk and we talked. I think he got a whole new outlook on where I'm coming from), I sometimes wish there was a nice way to make him go away.
I shouldn't complain. With my luck, he'll get back together with Sonia.
I also got a $20 coupon from IKEA. I've been having this mad urge to shop for furniture lately. I've already picked out the 'perfect' dining room and living room furniture. I adore a lot of IKEA's stuff, and not just because it's cheap, either.
Aaron was jealous that I bought a guitar for Dirk -- an early 2nd anniversary gift. I figured I might as well do it now, as I doubt I'll have much in the way of free money once I get the new car (still deciding, but my car's honestly about to break down in a big way again. I can feel it.).
This is going to be abysmally short, since it's the middle of the night as I'm finishing this. More tomorrow.
