Every man crazy differenceI went home last night and poured the rest of the vodka down the drain. Since I’m the only one in the apartment who’ll drink the stuff, I decided it was too much pressure to have it around. It would promise me a night of drunken abandon, but my stomach would make me pay the next morning, at the very least.
I don’t think I’ve explained what’s going on with Aaron and his kid right now. Sonia is already married, and pregnant (this is apparently her preferred state of existence) again. She moved kind of fast to lend herself some legitimacy where Xavi (their son) is concerned. Anyway, she’s experiencing complications from her current pregnancy, and is planning to use that as a reason to quit working altogether.
Well, if she quits working, despite the fact that she’s married, Aaron would have to pay $400 a month in child support. He’s also been experiencing some doubts about his ability to be a good father to Xavi, and he wants what’s best for his son. So he agreed to keep paying child support until such a time as Sonia’s husband adopts Xavi. Then Sonia started getting snarky with him and accusing him of planning to go to her house and.....stalk her/beat her up/kill her/rape her pets. So she wanted to come over to our apartment to get the paperwork done. That’s just not happening, because she’s a freak.
So, she’s giving Aaron so much hassle over this small thing, and refuses to meet him somewhere neutral. She also screamed at him when she let him talk to Xavi on the phone, because he told Xavi he was his father. Too much trauma. Aaron’s considering going back to court to get partial custody of Xavi – Dirk and I are agreed that we’ll do whatever it takes to support whatever decision Aaron comes to. I know he’s in a lot of pain and confusion about this situation, and he keeps second-guessing himself over every detail. He wants to be in his son’s life, but he also wants what’s best for him.
